Ch.18 Too Close for Comfort; How can you say that?!
Leo and April are hanging out in Raph and Leo's apartment. They decided to hang out and watch TV while their boyfriends went out to check on some business. Leo was enjoying his time with his sister. They haven't been able to hang out with each other much so they both were happy they got to spend time together.
"This reminds me when we were kids Leo…We always just watch cartoons while we wait for dad to get home. You always let me watch what I want even though you hated it. You're a great big brother Leo." April said with a smile on her face.
Leo gave her a shy smile and blushed a bit at her comment. He remembers those times. Seemed just like yesterday since then.
"Yeah I remember that time. I didn't really mind though. I got to spend time with you so it was worth it." Leo said with a smile on his face. April smiled at her brother.
"So you and Raph doing okay Leo?" April asked. Leo just blushed at April's question but he just smiled at her.
"Everything's fine April. He got me some flowers, balloons, and chocolate. He was really sweet with me. I never thought I would fall in love again. Raph makes me happy…I never thought I would fall in love again since Ricky…but…I was wrong." Leo said with a blush on his face and a smile that could light up the room.
"I'm so happy for you Leo…Donnie got me some flowers for Valentine's Day and made me dinner. It was so sweet and romantic. I think we're both pretty lucky that we found two great guys." April said with a smile on her face and a blush of her own.
"Yeah…I hope their doing okay, I'm a little worried."
"I'm sure they're fine Leo. Donnie and Raph are pretty tough guys." April said as she patted Leo's shoulder to calm him down.
Leo nodded with a small smile on his face. He shouldn't worry; Raph is a pretty tough guy so he shouldn't worry.
The siblings heard a knock on the door which startled them a bit. Leo and April got up from the couch and slowly made their way toward the door. Leo peeked through the peep hole and he saw a Foot Gang member which made Leo gasped softly.
"April! We need to get away now!" Leo whispered to April. April's eyes widened and she nodded.
Leo grabbed April's hand and they walked fast toward a bookshelf that leads them to a secret passageway. Raph showed Leo this the first time they moved and which book to pull. Leo pulled the gray book and the bookshelf opened to revile a secret passageway.
Leo dragged April down the hallway after he closed the library door and blocked it to be sure that no one can get through even if they find the secret room.
As they made their way down the passage Leo sent Raph a text message.
-Raph Foot Gang are here! Hurry!-
Leo hoped Raph will get here soon because he wasn't sure if the blockage will hold the secret door in.
Leo and April made it to the bottom and into a secret room. When they got inside Leo doubled bolted the door from the inside and turned to look at his sister.
"You okay April?" Leo asked as he looked April over to make sure she wasn't having a panic attack.
"I-I'm fine Leo. Just a bit shaken up b-but okay. H-How did they find us?!" April said with wide scared eyes as she began pacing in the room.
"I don't know April…There's no telling how they found out about this place. We just gotta pray they won't find us and that the boys will come help us." Leo said as he sat down on the floor next to door and check out his cell phone to see if Raph sent him a message back. He did and it said 'Stay in the room I showed ya! We'll be there soon!'.
Leo took a deep breathe praying that Raph will come and help them. Until then he'll protect his sister with his life.
April walked over to her big brother and sat next to him and laid her head on Leo's shoulder. Leo wrapped an arm around her to keep her comfortable. He could tell she was scared, he is too.
"It's going to be okay April…I'm here and Donnie will be here soon too. So just relax okay." Leo said. April nodded and she closed her eyes a bit to relax. Leo just smiled at his sister and hugged her closer.
'I'll protect you April…I promise…' Leo thought with a determined look on his face. He won't let anyone hurt his family again.
With Raph and Donnie:
"Dammit! We gotta hurry before they find them!" Donnie yelled in the passage seat as his brother's driving.
"I fuckin' know that Donnie! But I can't go anywhere with these fuckers in the way! MOVE IT!" Raph yelled out the window when the light turned green. When the people in them finally moved Raph punched the gas pedal and passed the vehicle in front of them and speed off toward Leo and April.
"How the hell did they find the secret place anyway?!" Donnie yelled as he held onto the window.
"I dunno bro! But if they laid a hand on Leo, they'll wish their dead!" Raph said in anger as he gripped the steering wheel driving faster to get to their apartment.
'Baby…Please hang in there! I'm comin'!' Raph thought driving faster. He prayed that Leo will be alright.
Raph then called Rocko still driving like a wild man.
"Rocko it's me! Gather the RayGunz and take'em toward where Leo and April are. ALL of them! Captured ALL of those Foot assholes and make'em pay! Me and Donnie will be there soon, so ya better be there before I am! GO!" Raph yelled into his phone and then closed it when he was done.
"Nobody messes with The Rays!"
With Leo and April:
Leo and April are still inside the secret room. He got Raph's message, and it said –We'll be there soon! Be safe!-
Leo is scared mostly for his sister. He doesn't want anything to happen to her. He promised his mother and father that he'll protect her and that's what he was going to do.
The siblings began to hear a ruckus going on up top which made them be quiet and looked at each other. Leo moved his finger to his lips telling her to be quiet. April nodded and snuggled closer to her brother.
"Could they have gotten out through the window?" An unknown voice hollered which made Leo and April cringed. They were hoping it was their boyfriends but they were wrong. They knew in their hearts it's the Foot Gang.
"No way in hell dude! The guys in the alleyway would of saw them. We gotta find Ray's boyfriend before he gets back." Another unknown voice said.
Leo cringed when they mentioned him. He took a deep breath and held April tightly to his side. Leo just hopes they won't find them.
"I think Mark was wrong about this place. I don't see anywhere else Ray's boyfriend could be hiding at. What about his boyfriend's sister? I heard he has a sister, so she could be living in this building." A voice said making Leo growl softly to himself when they mentioned April.
"Yeah that's right…maybe if we find the bitch we could hold her hostage to get Ray's boyfriend outta hiding! Good idea man! Go look in the other rooms and find her!" a man yelled which made half of the Foot gang look for his sister.
Leo had to smirk at that. They weren't going to be finding his sister there or anywhere.
April cringed when she heard them talking about her. Leo hugged her closer to get her to calm down.
"It's okay April…They won't find us…and if they do I won't let them hurt you…I promise." Leo whispered to April. April smiled softly to her brother and snuggled closer to his chest.
Before they knew it they heard a loud crash which made them jump.
"It's the RayGunz! They're here!" A Foot gang yelled.
They began to hear more yelling, crashes and guns going off for about 45 minutes. Before they knew it was quiet. The siblings then heard two familiar voices.
"Ya gotta lotta a nerve bustin' in my house ya Foot scum! Take'em back to our turf and tie'em up! Beat them till they wish they're dead! GO!" Raph yelled making the RayGunz jump from their leaders voice but followed his advice and began taking the Foot to their turf.
When Raph and Donnie knew they were in the clear, Raph then shouted for Leo and April.
"Leo! Baby, ya and April can come out! They're gone!" Raph yelled as he walked over toward the bookcase and waited for them to come up.
It was quiet for a few moments when the Ray brothers heard shuffling on the other side of the book case. Raph smirked at that. Not only was his boyfriend beautiful, but he was smart too.
The bookcase opened with Leo and April coming out. Before the Hamato siblings could utter a word, their boyfriends hugged them tightly to their chest.
"I'm glad yer alright babe! Ya didn't get hurt didja?" Raph asked as he moved Leo in front of him to look him over.
"I'm fine Raph. The Foot didn't find me or April. The secret passage way really helped us. Man…That was really scary…" Leo said as he put his hand on his chest to calm his beating heart.
Raph sighed and hugged Leo to his chest again. Raph kissed Leo's forehead as he rubbed Leo's head. The Foot got close, TOO close for his liking. If he never showed Leo the secret passageway… he didn't even want to think about it.
Leo moved from his boyfriend's chest to look at his sister. He can tell she was really shaken up about all this. To her it felt like that night when a Foot gang killed their mother. Leo can tell April is crying. He himself is trying his hardest not to cry.
"Donnie I was so scared! I-I-I thought they were g-going to hurt Leo and me..! It felt like the same night all over again. If…If I wasn't with Leo…They would of used me t-to get to Leo…" April said as she kept crying into Donnie's chest.
Donnie looked sad as he held April closer to him. He almost failed protecting April…He wasn't going to let that happen again.
"Raph…" Donnie said surprising everyone. Raph looked at his brother not moving his arm from around Leo's shoulder.
"This time…they went too far…I WON'T have them take someone else I LOVE away from me! They won't stop…till we deal with their leader…and you know I'm right big brother…you're feeling the same hatred I'm feeling right now…aren't you?" Donnie said not looking away from April. He just held her tighter to his chest.
Raph's eyes became harder as he moved his gaze to Leo. Leo felt Raph's gaze and he looked up at him and gave him a small smile. Raph's eyes soften at Leo's smile. Leo always made him feel so much better. He didn't know what he would do if Leo ever got captured by the Foot and get hurt.
Raph then gave Leo a chaste kiss that calmed Leo's nerves. Leo turned completely toward Raph and wrapped his arms around Raph's neck as they kissed. Raph just rubbed Leo's back in comfort as they kissed.
Raph broke the kiss and laid his forehead on Leo's to just look into his beautiful blue eyes. Raph took a deep breath and look at his brother.
"Yer right Donnie…We have to go to war with Oroku…and…sigh…I may have ta kill him." Raph said making Leo and April gasp.
"W-What?! K-Kill him..! R-Raph I know he's a bad person, b-but k-kill another human being?! How can you talk about something like that so easily?!" Leo yelled and he stormed off away from Raph and the others.
Raph's eyes widened and he looked sad as he watched Leo run off toward their room. Raph's fist clenched in anger. He never wanted Leo to know about that part. The only time he's really killed someone was in self-defense and he never got in trouble because of that.
"I can understand what Leo is saying…We don't understand how you guys can say something like that so easily…Sigh…Raph you need to talk to Leo…So do I and Donnie. C'mon Donnie…I think we need to leave Raph and Leo alone for a bit. Tell Leo I love him when you can." April said with a sad smile as she grabbed Donnie's hand and walked out of the room.
Raph sighed sadly as he looked at the bedroom door. He hated making Leo upset…but he didn't know what else to do. He wants to protect Leo, and if he has to kill to keep him safe then that's what's he's going to do.
