Ch.20: Graduation; Meeting Face to Face:
Today was the day! Leo can't believe it but today is the day that he graduates from high school! He's a step closer to fulfilling his dreams of becoming a doctor.
Ever since the Foot found their old hideout Raph and Donnie's been more protective of Leo and April. They moved to a very secure place where only a few of Raph's men know. His top men. He offered to let Leo's dad to stay but he politely said no. Leo and April talk to their father every chance they can get. But Raph knew the Hamato siblings miss their father a lot.
Raph sighed sadly thinking about his boyfriend missing his father. He hopes this Foot mess will end soon. He hates seeing Leo upset.
Raph came toward his and Leo's room. Yep, ever since the Foot incident, and when they first made love, Raph and Leo now share a bed which made Raph smile.
Raph leans against the bedroom door frame watching with a smile on his face
Raph can tell Leo's happy. He's been jumping up all over the place getting ready for the graduation ceremony. It made Raph happy to see Leo smile more. He's been a bit down since he doesn't get to go out, or see his father that much.
"No not this one…not this one either." Leo said mumbling to himself trying to figure out what to wear to the graduation ceremony.
Raph followed Leo with his eyes, watching his boyfriend try to figure out what to wear to his graduation.
"How 'bout that'in Leo? Ya look cute in that blue shirt and dark blue jean pants. Hell ya look cute in anythin'." Raph said with a smirk to his face that made Leo blush.
"I-I guess this'll be okay. Thanks Raph. I can't wait to see my father. I miss him a lot. I also miss my friend Usagi. Seems like forever since I got to see either of them." Leo said with a sad look to his face that made Raph frown.
Raph walked over to Leo and hugged him close and rested his chin on top of Leo's head.
"I'm sorry baby. It's just somethin' we had ta do ta protect ya and yer family. It'll be over soon, and you'll get ta spend as much time with yer family as much as ya want." Raph said as he gave Leo a chaste kiss that made Leo hug Raph tighter.
After they broke away from air, Leo gave him a small smile.
"I know you did it to protect me Raphie…its okay. I'm just really happy I have you in my life now." Leo said with a smile as he snuggled closer into his boyfriend's chest.
Raph just smiled at Leo. No matter what he does, it's cute.
Leo's smiling face went away though after a bit which worried Raph. Raph put a finger underneath Leo's chin to make him look at him.
"What's the matter babe? Ya were smilin' a minute ago?" Raph asked not looking away from Leo's gaze which made Leo blush a little.
"I…I was thinking about what The Foot would do…I mean…At that moment they'll know who my family is and everything…I'm just a bit worried Raph." Leo said shaking a little bit from worry.
Raph gave Leo a sad look. He knew Leo was going to be worried about this. This made Raph think of a plan to protect Leo and his family.
"Ya ain't gotta worry babe. I got my boys coverin' the entire gym where yer graduatin' at. Inside and out. There are even some on the roof with snipers if it comes ta that." Raph said rubbing Leo's cheek.
Leo looked up into Raph's eyes with a surprised look to it. He should have known his boyfriend would think of something.
"R-Really Raph?" Leo asked with a bit of doubt and worry in his voice.
Raph smiled and kissed Leo gently on the lips which made them both sigh.
"Really Leo. I ain't gonna let Saki or his men near ya or yer family. I promised ya that I'd protect ya and yer family. Even IF that bastard got close ta ya, my boys will take'im out if I allow it." Raph said hugging Leo closer to his chest which made Leo wrap his arms around Raph's neck.
"O-Okay Raph…I'll trust you. Sigh…I better get dressed. Won't be long till I graduate." Leo said with a smile as he kissed Raph's cheek and went back to getting ready.
Raph smiled as he walked out of the bedroom to the living room. He sat on the couch and brought out his cell phone to make a call to one of his top men in the gang.
"Rocko it's me. Make sure all the guys are in position. If ya see the Foot, stop them from gettin' in tha building." Raph said with a firm voice that can make any man shiver out of fear.
"No prob Boss. But Boss, what if Oroku comes ta ya boy?" Rocko asked over the phone.
Raph gripped the cell harder which cracked a little bit. Rocko heard it and gulped into the phone.
"I'll be giving ya'll a single. I'll snapped my fingers one time and ya shoot him in the shoulder, seconded snap his knee cap, and third…his fuckin' head. Ya'll better keep yer eyes on us…ya get me." Raph said in a chilling voice.
"Y-Ya got it Boss no prob. B-But what if those don't work and he still tries ta get to Leo before we shoot him in the head?" Rocko asked softly fearing the wrath of his boss.
"Then I'll shoot him in the fuckin' head. Ya better keep yer eyes peeled. If Oroku is dumb enough to try and start something I'll handle it if ya'll mess up, which ya better not if ya wanna keep standing! The ceremony starts at 4:30. Tell the gang the plan."
"Ya got it Boss. We got ya'lls back!"
"Good." Raph said as hung up his cell and rubbed in between his eyes to calm his headache.
Raph's eyes snapped open when he felt his shoulders being rubbed. He looked up to see Leo rubbing his shoulders giving him a sad smile.
"Hey Raphie…You okay?" Leo asked in a worried voice that made Raph angry at himself for making him worried.
Raph grabbed Leo's hands with his and gave them a firm squeeze. Leo squeezed back as he walked around the couch to sit next to Raph. Raph decided to bring Leo to his lap which made Leo blush but he snuggled closer into Raph's chest.
"I'm fine babe. Don't ya worry yer pretty head ove'a me. Ya just worry 'bout yer day and have fun." Raph said as he kissed Leo's head a few times.
"Okay Raph. Well…I got dressed and ready to go. Do I look okay?" Leo asked as he leans back a little bit to show Raph his outfit he chose.
Raph smiled as he looked his boyfriend up and down to see his outfit. Leo is wearing a light blue plain t-shirt with dark blue pants and black shoes.
"Ya look beautiful babe." Raph said with a smirk as he grabbed the back of Leo's head to give him a deep kiss that made Leo moan.
Raph was about to put his tongue in his mouth but Leo moved away before he could get the chance.
"Not now Raph…maybe later okay…and…thanks." Leo said with a shy smile and blush as he moved off his boyfriends lap to sit next to him.
Raph gave Leo a little smile and wrapped his arm around Leo's shoulder to bring him closer.
"Aight…but ya owe me one babe." Raph said with a smirk on his face as he whispered in Leo's ear.
Leo blushed and gave him a shy smile as he nodded at him.
Raph looked at his watch and sees its 3:30 so he knew they have to get going.
"Well its 'bout that time babe. Let's go and see ya graduate." Raph said with a smile as he got up from the couch with Leo.
"Okay Raph. Is April and Donnie ridding with us?" Leo asked as he and Raph were about to head out the door.
"Yeah. April wanted ta spend some time with ya on the way ta yer school." Raph said with a smile as Leo gave off a huge smile as they walked out the door surprised to see Donnie and April there about to knock.
"Congrats big brother! You're a step closer to becoming a doctor!" April said with a smile as he gave Leo a huge smile that made Leo smile as he hugged her back.
Leo moved out of the hug and gave his little sister a small smile.
"Thanks April. But I still got to go to college to become a doctor. So I still have a long way to go." Leo said with a smile.
"I know, I know! I'm just very happy for you big bro! You deserve it. You've worked so hard and I want to see your dreams come true." April said with a smile and serious voice.
Leo gave his little sister a small smile and hugged her again. He felt so happy that he was about to cry.
"Thank you little sister. I-I'll do my very best." Leo said with a sniffle as he moved away from his little sister.
April just smiled at him.
"Well what are we waiting for? Let's go and see Leo graduate!" April said breaking the tension. Everyone smiled at April and made their way out of the building toward the car.
*At Leo & April's School*
Raph, Leo, Donnie and April made it toward the school. Raph parked the car near the gym where Leo will be graduating at.
They all got out of the car and saw Splinter waiting in front of the gymnasium.
"Dad!" Leo and April both yelled as they ran toward their father to give him a hug.
Splinter smiled down at his children and hugged them both closely to him. He missed his children so much. He never wants to lose them like he lost his wife.
"It is nice to see you my children. Have you've both been doing well?" Splinter asked as he moved away to look at his children to make sure their doing well.
"We're doing fine father. April and I have been taking care of each other and getting through all this. Hopefully this Foot thing will be over with soon." Leo said looking down at the ground.
Raph frowned when he saw Leo upset. He hates seeing him like this all the time. He wants Leo to smile and laugh like he used to. But thanks to that bastard, Oroku Saki, he can't. Which made Raph's blood boil.
Raph wrapped his right arm around Leo's shoulder snapping him out of his depressing thoughts as he looked up at Raph.
"Aye…Quit bein' sad…today is yer day. Don't worry about anythin'. Right now it's just all of your friends and family. No Foot. It's just all of us…Okay babe." Raph said with a small smile that made Leo's heart swell.
Leo nodded to his boyfriend and took a deep breath to get rid of his depression. Raph is right, now is not the time to be sad.
"Your right Raph. Well…I guess we better head inside, the ceremony is about to start." Leo said giving everyone a huge smile.
They weren't going to worry about the Foot, their worries, or anything. It's just going to be them in their own world…with no problems.
*After the Graduation Ceremony*
"Congratulations!" Everyone yelled to Leo.
Leo blushed as he held his diploma to his chest. He never thought this day would come. There were times when he felt like he would never graduate but he made. He's a step closer to becoming a doctor.
"T-Thank you everyone…It's so hard to believe I did it…I wish mom was here to see this…" Leo said sadly as he looked at his diploma with a sad expression.
"She's here my son…We may not can see her…but I feel her presences here…and I know she's very proud of you my son." Splinter said looking straight at his son.
Leo smiled as tears began to form in his eyes. He tried his best to keep them but they came flowing down. Splinter brought Leo to his chest and hugged him closely as Leo cried. April joined in the hug while the Ray brothers stood back and let them have their family moment.
Leo finally moved his head away from his father's chest to take a deep breath to calm himself down. He smiled up at his father and sister letting them know he's alright.
"S-Sorry about that…I didn't mean to cry…" Leo said as he looked at everyone around him with sad happy smile.
Everyone just smiled at him and Raph walked up to give him a hug. Leo returned the hug with a huge smile on his face. Leo never thought he have someone like Raph here with him.
"I'm so proud of ya babe. I love ya…" Raph said in Leo's ear so only he can hear him. Leo blushed and snuggled his head into Raph's chest.
"Well isn't this a touchy sight…" A dark voice said making Raph growl as he pushed Leo behind him. Donnie growled and put April behind him as well. The Hamato family were confused.
The man with the dark voice has a brunt scar on the right side of his face nearly covering all of his face. He's about as tall as Raph is and about the same muscle tone. He's wearing a black business suit that looks more expensive than any car you purchase.
Leo didn't know what was going on…but he was scared.
"Ya got some nerve comin' here Oroku. Do ya really wanna leave this area in a body bag?!" Raph asked with venom in his voice that made everyone shiver in fear.
Saki just laughed at Raph. He knew the Ray will never kill him and that one weakness will be his downfall.
"You shouldn't say something you can't back up Ray. I know you won't kill me…you're too weak to do so. Just like you were too weak to save your sister." Saki said with a smirk on his face as he saw Raph gripped his fist in anger.
"Just try me asshole…Now what the fuck do ya want?!"
"Hehe…I've come here to tell your boyfriend congratulations for graduating high school of course…and…to give all of you a warning…" Saki said with a smirk on his face as he looked straight at Leo.
Raph blocked Saki's view much to Leo's relief. Leo gripped onto the back of Raph's jacket as he began to shake. Splinter made his way over to Leo to keep him calm.
"Heh! Now I know yer stupid Oroku…comin' here like ya own the place. Well guess what Oroku…ya don't." Raph said with a smirk of his own which confused Saki.
Raph snapped his fingers and Oroku Saki felt bullet go through his right shoulder. He gasped in pain as he gripped his shoulder as he turned around to see who shot him. Saki's eyes widened when he saw about ten of Ray's men on the roof with snipers ready to shoot him. Just waiting on their leader's orders.
"That was a warning shot Oroku. If I snapped my fingers again…they'll shot ya in the kneecap making ya unable ta walk…and third yer head…What not tough guy?" Raph asked noting moving from his spot. He didn't want Leo to look at Oroku Saki bleeding.
Oroku Saki just laughed in a dark chuckle.
"Hehe…You honestly think you've won this…Not by a long shot Ray…I'll find a way to break you…I will rule this city again. You and your little group isn't going to stop me. I suggest you keep an eye on the people you love and their families…because I intend to do anything to win Ray…" Oroku Saki said as he laughed and threw a smoke bomb making him disappear from sight.
Everyone covered their eyes while Raph and Donnie shield Leo and April. When the smoked cleared...Oroku Saki was gone.
"Damn!" Raph said getting out his phone while Donnie kept an eye for any Foot or Oroku.
"Rocko! Oroku was just here ya see; Good, get the boys looking around fer him. He couldn't of gotten far!" Raph said with an angry look and voice on his face as he hung up his cell.
Leo began shaking in fear. He was the man…He was the man that gotten his mother killed. Leo looked into the eyes of his mother's killer.
Leo was so upset he clasped on the ground on his knees still keeping his diploma close to his chest. Raph noticed Leo and nearly ran over to him to warp his arms around Leo as he cried.
"Babe…Leo calm down…I won't let him hurt ya or ya family. I promise ya won't lose someone else ya love ta that bastard." Raph said to Leo hugging him closer to him.
Raph keeps his hold on Leo as Donnie comforts April. Raph looks up to where Splinter was and he could tell Splinter was mad…Boiling mad. Splinter just saw the man that took his wife away…and now he's planning on trying to hurt his family again.
"I'm scared…Raphie…I'm so scared..!" Leo said crying even more. Raph hugged Leo closer to him that looked like they could blend together.
"I'm right here babe…I promise you…I'm not gonna let Oroku Saki hurt ya again…" Raph said as he kissed Leo's head and looked up at Splinter.
"Mr. H…" Raph said softly which made Splinter snapped out of his anger moment to look at Raph. He looks at him with a calm look…but Raph can tell he's doing his best not let his anger for what Oroku did consume him.
"Y-Yes Raphael?" Splinter asked softly as he walked over toward him and Leo to kneel down to check on his son.
"I think it's best if ya move inta one of my safe houses…Oroku knows who ya'll are now and it won't be hard fer him ta find out where ya staying at. I believe it's best if ya do this. My boys will keep an eye on ya when ya go ta work. I don't want Oroku ta hurt ya…" Raph said as he kept rubbing Leo's back to calm him down.
"Sigh…I believe you are right Raphael… It may be best for me to do so. I don't want him to hurt my family any more then he already has. Thank you Raphael…" Splinter said as he put his hand on Raph's shoulder to show his thanks.
Raph nodded as Splinter gives Leo a kiss on his forehead before he got up to check on April.
Raph keeps holding Leo. All Raph wanted was for Leo to have a nice day on his graduation…but thanks to Oroku Saki he's having a miserable day…He plans to fix that soon…
