Ch.22: Accident; Payback

It's been about two weeks since Leo told Raph about his nightmares. Leo's getting a bit better. Everytime Leo has a nightmare, Raph's there to hold and comfort him through. Leo's been getting more sleep than he did before and Raph couldn't be happier.

Donnie and April decided to pay them a visit. Raph told them that Leo has gotten a bit better and April wanted to come over right away to see her big brother.

April see's her brother sitting on the couch reading a book and she just smiled. It's as if Leo's back to his normal self and she couldn't be happier.

April surpises her brother by sitting beside him and giving him a big hug which startled Leo at first but he calmed down when he saw it's his sister.

April is very happy about her big brother smiling again and looks like he got some rest. She's been worried sick about him.

April and Leo are sitting on the couch together talking again. Before Leo would hardly leave his room and whenever he did, he barely talked to anyone. So April is very happy to have her big brother back.

"Don't EVER scare me like that again Leo! I was so worried about you." April said with a sad voice that made Leo sad.

"I'm so sorry April...I didn't mean to worry you. I was just very upset...I'm sorry but...Shredder scared me pretty bad." Leo said softly to his little sister.

April gave a sad smile to her big brother. She understands how he feels. When she saw Shredder she was terrifaid. Leo took it much worse than she did. April was just a baby when Leo saw first hand their mother die in front of his face.

"I understand Leo...I'm just so happy to see you smiling again. We'll get through this together. Just know that you are not alone big brother. We're all here." April said with a smile and almost teary eyes that made Leo smile softly.

"I know April...Thank you." Leo said as he hugs April tightly.

Leo feels so blessed that he has faimly and friends by his side to help him through his troubles and ordels. He'll get through this...He knows he will. He won't let Shredder win.

The Hamato siblings broke apart and just smiled at each other. The Ray brothers just smiled at their loved ones. They knew it'll be alright.

"How about we go see mama Leo? We haven't got the chance to see her since you graduated. Would you like to go?" April asked with a low voice to make sure she doesn't upset her brother.

Leo's eyes widened. He couldn't believe he hasn't went to vist his mother. He feels guilty and ashamed that he hasn't been to see his mother.

"I...I would love too...I...I can't b-believe I forgot to go see my own mother...I feel so ashamed." Leo said in a sad voice that made everyone sad.

"Babe ya have nothin' ta be ashamed fer. Yer mother would understand. You were scared. Don't ever say yer ashamed of yerself. Ya did what any person would do..." Raph said as he kneeled in front of Leo as he held Leo's hands.

Leo smiled softly at his boyfriend as some tears fell. Raph wiped the tears away which made Leo smile even more.

"Thank you Raph...Sigh...I would love to see my mother." Leo said with a smile which made everyone smile.

"Aight let's go see yer ma. April, Donnie come along, we can vist Mona Lisa." Raph said with small smile to Donnie and smiled back.

"Alright let's go!" April said with a huge smile on her face that just made everyone laugh.

*NYC Cementary*

Raph, Leo, Donnie, and April made it saftly to the cemetary. It's a bit warm out but not to bad to make you sweat. It was pleaseant.

Leo and April went to their mother while the Ray brothers went to see their little sister. Raph was relucted to leave Leo alone but Leo reasured him that he'll be okay and if he needed him he'll call.

Leo and April make to their mother's gravesite. It still looks the same. The flowers have wilted a pit which made the Hamato's glad they brought her some flowers for her.

They both kneeled down in front of the grave and laid their flowers on her grave. They were both slient, listining to the gentle breeze of the wind.

"I miss mama Leo...I...I wish she was here..." April said breaking the slience between them.

Leo cringed at the broken voice that April held. April never got the chance to know her mother well. She may have known her but she never got to know her more like a child is supposed to. Leo tells stories of their mother...but it'll never be the same...and it brakes Leo's heart everytime April get's this way.

"I miss her too April...But we shouldn't cry...If I remember correctly...mom hated it when we cried. It made her sad too." Leo said as he sat closer to his baby sister to put his left arm around her.

April's shoulders began to shake. She's trying her hardest not to cry. But it was so hard not to cry. She never gotten the chance to get to know her mother. She was taken away by a man that killed her over money! Money; of all things considered useless next to a human life.

"That man isn't human...Anybody capable of ordering someone killed over money...doesn't desvere to be in society. They should be locked like the animals they are! Shredder will pay!" Apirl nearly yelled which surpised Leo.

Leo has seen April mad...but never this mad. The events of the Foot trying to attack Leo must of tirgered something in April. April is usally a peacfull girl. But one person can only take so much from someone.

Leo hugged April closer to him. He didn't like seeing his sister like this. The April he knows and loves is a loveable young lady that laughs, smiles, and doesn't carry any hate to anyone. He hopes this Foot nonsense will end soon. His family can only take so much.

"C'mon sis. Let's go meet Raph and Donnie. They should by Raph's truck." Leo said with a soft smile on his face as he looks at his sister.

April rubbed her tears away and she looked up at her big brother. She doesn't know how he does it. He's been through hell and back and here he is; smiling and comfforted her when he needed it the most.

April sniffled and hugged her brother tight which surpised Leo at first but he evetually wrapped her arms around her.

April moved out of the hug to look at her big brother. He's still giving her a soft smile while wipping some of her tears away.

"Okay Leo. Thanks and...sorry for crying like that in front of you."

"Oh don't worry about it April. We all have our moments. Even I have to cry every now and then. It's best if we don't keep them all bottled up. I've learned that personaley." Leo said with a thoughtful look as he looked back at their mother's grave.

"Okay Leo. Thanks for being here to comfort me." April said with a smile on her face.

"You don't have to thank me April. That's what big brother's are for. Now...let's go meet up with our guys before they have a heart attack." Leo said with a smile and chuckle which also got April to laugh along with them.

*NYC Cementary Parking Lot*

Leo and April we're having a nice conferstaion as they left the cemetary. Leo looked away from April to see the Ray brothers. Leo waved at Raph with a smile on his face. Raph smirked, winked and waved back at him which got Leo to blush a little bit. April just laughed at her brothers face. April looked upt to see Donnie and he did the same thing to her which got her blushing which made Leo laugh at her.

Leo stopped his laughing to look to his right. He saw a black and red car speeding right toward them and they didn't plan on stopping.

"APRIL MOVE!" Leo screamed as he pushed April out of the way of the car. April felled to other side and saw the car run over Leo.

"LEO!" Everyone screamed but no one was louder then Raph.

It was like slow motion to watch Leo fall to the ground. The car speed off away from the scene but everyone paid them no mind. They all rushed to Leo.

Raph got to Leo first and kneeled down beside him and picked him up slowly. Leo face is covered in blood and it looked like he broke some bones. Raph shook in anger as he held Leo to his chest.

April kept shouting out Leo's name and crying for him to wake up. Donnie was holding her to his chest trying to calm her down.

"Donnie." Raph said so darkly it made everyone shiver in fear.

"Y-Yeah Raph..." Donnie said softly trying not to anger his big brother.

"I wantch'a to hack the secerty cameras in this area. Find out who did this...SO I CAN MAKE'EM PAY FOR WHAT THEY DID TA LEO!" Raph screamed making everyone jump in front of him.

"Y-Yes sir! I will. Let's call the ambulance...Leo looks pertty bad." Donnie said as he got out his cell phone and called 911 to get the ambulance.

Raph paid no mind to anyone around him. His main focus is Leo. Raph rubbed Leo's cheek gently and Leo whimpered in pain. Raph growled in anger as he hugged Leo closer but not to tightly not to hurt him.

"I promise ya baby...I'm gonna make that son of a bitch pay fer this...they will pay..."
