Cass' Pov

I followed behind Tobi as we made our way into the woods opposite the base. I've never even been on this side of the mountain. It looks much more different than I expected. Though there were still plenty of trees around most of the land here was covered in farms much like the route I had taken to deliver paperwork before. It was weird to see this much proof of other people after having to stay in the base for so long. And I was a little sad that I didn't get to see it for as long as I'd wanted either, not with the pace that Tobi kept.

Between his long legs and energetic personality I was starting to think that even Kisame's training would push me less. I looked up at Tobi, focusing on minor things like his body language as he started going off on some random story. I'm so tired... I wonder how he can keep up his act so much... Sighing softly I shifted the weight of my bag before rubbing at my eyes, deciding it was probably for the best not to think about it too much. Things like that were never too good to ponder for long. Tobi looked back at me and slowed down his pace a little.

"Cass, are you still tired?" His voice took on a concerned tone and I moved my hands to look up at him.

"Yeah... Just haven't been able to get a good nights sleep in a while." He nodded slightly and looked around before stopping and crouching down. "Huh?"

"Hop on. If I carry you then we'll make it there really fast and you can take a nap."

"No thanks. You know how many times I've already been carried by you guys? I'm good walking." I skirted around Tobi and started to walk away only to be stopped by him moving in front of me and crouching down again. "Tobi I said I was ok..."

"Just hop on. You're too slow when you're tired." Dammit... that's not fair. Sighing and giving up I carefully got onto Tobi's back, draping my arms over his shoulders. He held under my knees and stood up as if I weighed nothing before taking off at a surprising speed. Holding myself a little tighter I nearly let out a scream as we reached the edge of the woods because Tobi immediately jumped up into the trees and started moving faster.

"Holy shit... fuck... oh my god..." I took some deep breaths to calm myself and lifted my head to look around. I jumped and yelped in shock as I looked over to see Zetsu running along beside us. Is he... he looks jealous... Under normal circumstances I might have thought I was just judging the situation wrong but the glare on Zetsu's face was very obvious.

"Don't you think you're running too fast for her Tobi?" Even his normally more chipper voice sounded snippy right now. "Maybe we should carry her instead."

"Oh! Mr. Zetsu, I didn't notice you there." Tobi stopped suddenly, almost making me slam my face into his shoulder. Zetsu stopped with us and frowned slightly.

"P-please let me down." I think I'm going to be sick... With what might have been a confused glance Tobi set me down on the branch and I quickly scrambled over to the center, using it to brace myself as I tried to calm my lurching stomach. "Oh my god..." I whined softly, doing my best not to look down at the ground.

"Oh no! Are you ok Cass?" Tobi started to walk over but stopped as I looked up at him with a miserable glare.

"I told you that you were running too fast. You look like you're going to hurl."

"I think I might... That was even worse than a roller coaster." Dark Zetsu started to scold Tobi as I continued to try and calm my stomach. By the time I no longer felt like I was going to be sick I felt far to weak to do any running. "Now I'm even more tired than before. Leader's going to be so upset that we'll be late." I looked over at the other two and tried not to snicker. With the way Tobi was sulking, if it was still an anime I'd almost expect mushrooms to be growing off of him.

"Tobi and I decided that we'll carry you the rest of the way." I really doubt that actually.

"O-oh... I'm guessing me asking to just walk won't work?"

"Good guess." Zetsu was still being really snippy so I just ended up nodding in agreement. Damn... he really did get super jealous huh... He doesn't even get jealous when Kisame and I pretend to flirt. How confusing. "Stop sulking Tobi. You only got in trouble because you nearly made her throw up. You need to learn to be more gentle with women."

At his words Tobi nodded slightly and bounced up, immediately going back to his chipper self. "I'll get way better at piggyback rides then so next time Cass doesn't get sick!"

"Oh... yeah. Sure thing." I scratched at the back of my head and looked away. "So, uh, when are we leaving again?"

"Once you're feeling better."

Sighing softly I looked back up at Zetsu and frowned a little. "And... how are you carrying me with..." I put my hands on either side of my head, about five inches from my face, and started to move them up and down. It wasn't the best interpretation but I honestly had no idea what to call his plant appendages since I hardly ever saw him with them and no one ever talked about it. He frowned back at me, almost seeming offended, and I blushed in embarrassment. "Sorry..."

Zetsu walked up to me and snatched up my bag before easily picking me up, holding me to his chest. "Let's go Tobi." My eyes widened slightly and I turned my face away from his chest. This is like the time I hit my head during training.

"Alright Mr. Zetsu." Giving up I ended up just closing my eyes as Tobi took off, Zetsu keeping up with him fairly easily. I shifted my body towards Zetsu, moving slowly so he wouldn't accidentally drop me, and decided to try to get some more sleep. He smelled like the greenery and was as warm as ever, and even though I could tell he was mostly muscle I was surprisingly comfortable. He was nearly the complete opposite of Tobi in every way. Besides his hair nothing about him had been soft, he was bony and solid muscle and smelt like a mix of dirt and blood.

I drifted off fairly easily considering the situation and managed to sleep for a while. When I woke up again it was very harshly because it sounded like someone hard started screaming right in my ear. I tried to sit up and felt Zetsu nearly drop me as I came rather close to slamming my face into his jaw. Groaning softly I started to rub my eyes and leaned more towards Zetsu's chest, muttering softly, "Ughhh... god dammit. That was really unpleasant."

"What happened? Are you ok?"

"I'm fine... we were just close enough for me to pick up on someone's either thoughts or dream."

"What did you see?"

"Nothing this time... I just heard someone screaming. It's not usually that loud." With a soft sigh I looked up at Zetsu and furrowed my brow at his expression. He was staring at me with a mix of panic and what seemed to be shame. "Did I? Was that your... I'm sorry... I didn't mean to..." ... Jesus... what had he been thinking about?

"No... we're sorry... We didn't know it would wake you up."

Deciding it was probably for the best if we talked about something else I quickly tried to change the subject. "How long did I sleep for? It's a lot darker than I expected it to be." I sat up more and looked around at the woods we were in. It's raining.

"Ah Miss Cass! You're awake! Good timing. We're almost at Amegakure." Tobi turned around, still jumping from branch to branch. "Man you slept for forever!"

"Yes... you were asleep for a fairly long time. Hopefully it won't ruin your sleep schedule."

"How far are we?" I frowned at Tobi, getting worried that he'd end up hurting himself if he kept running like that.

"Really close. Like four or five minutes away." I nodded at him and seeming to notice my worry Tobi turned back around and moved beside us instead. We stopped right on the edge of a very large flat lake and Zetsu set me down. I stared out towards the water and could just make out the outline of what looked like a very large city. It was nearly impossible to make out from here with all the rain coming down.

"Kisame taught you how to walk on water correct?"

"Yeah, it was one of the first things."

"Good, then let's go. Tobi, you go ahead and tell him we're here."

"Sure thing Mr. Zetsu." I looked over at Tobi just in time to see him take off at full speed across the water. Zetsu let out a deep sigh and started walking fairly quickly after him. I followed beside him, making sure to keep my focus on staying on top of the water instead of him. It didn't take long before we were right outside the city.

"Konan didn't happen to mention how you were getting inside did she?"

"No... she didn't." He sighed again and turned away from the front gate, instead leading me to what looked like a sewer pipe. Helping me inside Zetsu lead me through the pipes until we somehow ended up inside a hallway. The place seemed nice enough. About the same as the other base to be honest only this one had exposed pipes instead of just being carved out of the inside of a small mountain. "This place is going to take so much longer to memorize."

"I wouldn't be too worried about that." A chill ran up my spine and I turned around to see Leader standing in the hall. I bowed slightly before standing up straighter and avoiding eye contact. "I'm not expecting you to stay here for very long. You'll be filling in for Konan while she deals with personal matters."

"Yes Sir." I went to look up at Zetsu but he was already gone, leaving me to follow behind Leader by myself.

"For the most part you will be doing paper work and errands around the village." He passed a small stack of scrolls back to me and I took them carefully. "These are what need delivered today. They're all marked with where they need to go. I assume you'll be able to figure things out on your own."

I nodded along to him and put the scrolls into the holding straps of my belt. "Anything else?"

"Go ahead and eat while you're out." He looked back at me and passed me an ok amount of money before stopping in front of a door. "Tobi already informed me of how your abilities have been out of your control so when you get back we'll begin teaching you discipline." I nodded again and went to grab for my bag before remembering that Zetsu still had it. Leader opened the door and I walked back out into the rain to try and figure where I needed to go in this maze of a city.
