Tributes try to win the Hunger Games for a variety of reasons. Some fight for glory, some for wealth. Others fight just to survive. A few even fight for love. Effie Trinket, just another Capitol puppet. The Quarter Quell begins and it suddenly shows that Effie isn't as obsessed with the Capitol as it seemed. The revolution gets going and Effie, who came closer to Haymitch than she would have ever expected, has to figure out where her loyalties lie. And her time is running out.

With the authorities looking for them, the giraffe must now get the tributes to safety—but first she'll have to help them trust each other.
