Hey my loves, had my birthday on March 30! So happy :) got a new phone! Thank you my wonderful parents! Been trying to work on my story using my phone. I've had a few remarks inquiring if I've read International Affairs by Lolidragon97. Yes I have, she's an amazing writer and I respect her so much. I love her writing, and she inspires me to write. I don't mean go copy her ideas or her story because that's wrong. I hope you darlings understand.

"Alright everyone! Now it is time for the final event!" Rita spoke into a megaphone to be heard above the roaring students.

Marysa held her breath anxiously looking at the scoreboard... 50 to 50, a tie.

"Curse those bastards!" Marysa seethed silently. She wasn't going to settle to losing to any males, and she didn't expect them to be so good - well, more like better than normal, but definitely not as good as the girls!

"The running test is next!" Rita continued. Her flamboyant red hair fluttered in the wind. "The girls will select a girl to represent their team and the boys will select a boy to represent their team. Choose wisely!"

Of course the obvious names were chosen, Marysa and Derek.

"I am not letting you win, now or ever!" Marysa growled. "And don't even think about trying to sexually threaten me!"

"Aw Marysa," Derek pretended to pout. "But that's no fun."

"Then suffer." Marysa hissed, and stalked up to the starting line, pumped up and ready to win. Derek shrugged, once again ignoring the many girls fainting over there somewhere, and stood next to Marysa.

"Pretty glad you're so athletic and the girls believe in you so much." He said. "Or else I'd be running a losing race."

"Whatever the heck do you mean?" Marysa asked. "Oh wait, I don't want to know, idiotic pervert."

Derek chuckled. As smart as the raven-haired beauty was, girly matters like dealing with boys was not her forte. Derek looked at her with a twinkle in his eye and could've stared forever at her but the race was starting. Someone would be mad if they knew he was too occupied staring at her instead of focusing on the race. Plus, that someone would've killed him if he looked at her too long. What an interesting life.

"Derek and Marysa, are you ready?" Rita called.

"Hold on!" Once again, Tora raised his hand, and asked, "How long are they running?"

"It's like a pacer test, and whoever drops put first loses." Rita explained.

(If you don't know what a pacer test is, google it. It's not exciting or anything... Basically you run when there's a beep sound and try to make it to the other side before the other beep goes off and it keep us getting harder...)

The teachers brought out a large radio. The man on the pacer CD started talking, explaining the rules and such.

"Ready, begin."

Crappy music played in the background, and Marysa and Derek quickly cleared each level, without even losing a breath.

Thirty minutes later...

It was level 100, the highest level possible. Marysa was gasping for breath, but Derek looked cool and calm as ever. Finally the pacer stopped altogether, and Rita looked at the two.

"... Well, looks like a tie- oh my goodness!"

"Marysa!" Derek shouted as the panting girl fainted on the spot. Derek easily caught her in his arms before she could hit the pavement.

The MCIA erupted into chaos, not sure what to do. Rita grabbed the megaphone and screeched it.

SCREEEEEEEEEEECH!

As everyone settled down, Rita turned towards Derek, who was peering anxiously into Marysa face.

"Derek. Take her to the infirmary."

"Yes, ma'am." Derek nodded, and set off towards the nurse's office, holding Marysa tightly.

Ten minutes later...

"Mhm, where am I?" Marysa peered foggily about, wondering what happened. Right now, her head was pounding, her lungs were sore, and her throat dry.

"Ah, you're awake." Derek popped up out of nowhere, and handed Marysa a good bottle of water. "Here you are, my lady."

"Thanks, pervert." Marysa rasped out, due to her sore throat. "What happened?"

"You don't remember? Well-"

"Nothing perverted. Straight to the point, Derek Walker." Marysa interrupted, glaring at him.

"Okay, okay! I wasn't anyways, geez..." Derek rolled his eyes playfully. "Well, you passed out around ten minutes ago and k brought you to the infirmary."

"Okay... Did Rita decided who's won?" Marysa inquired, wondering if there was going to be a rematch.

"Ah... Girls win due to you fainting. Nice way to win."

"Hey, that's not why I fainted!"

"Oh, so you were finally overwhelmed by my good looks and all, right?" Derek asked slyly.

"Heck no! I fainted because I was worn out!"

"From?"

"DEREK, DON'T MAKE ME ANGRY!"

"Oops." Derek chuckled. "Looks like I already did!"

Later that evening.

The boys were sent to clean up the sports ground, and put all the equipment away. Many were grumbling about how it wasn't fair.

Derek was in the storage room, adjusting some of the equipment, when someone knocked.

"Yes, who is it?" Derek asked.

"It's me." A feminine voice said.

"?" Confused, Derek opened the door to find a girl with blonde hair and blue eyes. "Uhhh, can I help you?" Derek asked, sliding past the girl to pick up some more equipment brought over.

"Oh, I just wanted to say that you were amazing today." The girl smiled.

"...Thanks."

"Oh no problem, I mean you're so smart and athletic!" The girl giggled, though mostly to herself. "Oh yeah, do you need help? I bet you're tired from all the work."

"No thank you. I have great stamina amounts." Derek said firmly. He could tell this blondie was trying to flirt, and he wasn't falling for it. Not that he ever fell for any girl's senseless flirting, but this was really annoying. Besides, she sucked at even flirting. If you're gonna flirt, at least be good at it! All Derek's thoughts were full of a certain dark haired beauty with orbs of amber.

The blonde giggled, though in truth it sounded forced all the time. "Of course you're strong, but maybe an extra hand will help out."

"I said, no thank you, I'm fine. Besides, you shouldn't be here. Hanging around a 'boys-only' area is not allowed and I could get into trouble." Derek decided it was time to do a little 'Derek-tricks.' Leaning into the girl's face he said softer, "I'm sure you wouldn't want me to get into any trouble."

The girl blushed, and Derek scoffed. She looked way cuter than this girl when blushing...

"Oh I wouldn't want you to get into trouble!" The girl shrieked. "I'll go right away."

"Cool." Derek rolled his eyes and walked away.

"Oh! Of you ever want to talk, my name is -"

"Sorry,I don't need your name, I won't remember it and you're not worth my time." Derek cut the girl off with an evil smirk. Enough is enough.

As Derek walked off, the girl stood frozen to the spot. Her blonde hair his her eyes as she gazed downwards.

"Hehehe, Derek Walker." And with that said the girl ran the other way, as stupid as any desperate girl would do.
