Spectre: A Beacon to Follow

Spectre has a new goal. He has attempted to leave his miserable old life behind him, and has joined Beacon Academy. But he can't relax for a minute; between fighting Grimm, schoolwork, and team RWBY's exploits, he's going to be very busy. (This is the second story in the Spectre series. I've written it differently this time, so I hope it's better than the last! Enjoy!)

Spectre Chronicles Update 4

'Okay, sh*t's for real this time.'

Greetings all! So yeah, I'm not gonna start with: "A promise is a promise..." or anything like that; I kinda feel that I've exhausted that phrase now anyway... :/.

So, I'm gonna get straight to the point here and and say it: The Spectre Chronicles is getting a reboot. That's right, starting next Friday (19/08/16) I'm gonna re-release the Spectre Chronicles as a single story as opposed to several smaller ones. There isn't any reason for this besides making my job a little easier. Also note that all my old stories will be deleted on that date too. Now if there are any long term readers still around I will be surprised (pleasantly surprised), but rest assured that the content will not be exactly the same as you have already read. Now that the canon RWBY storyline is much larger than it was on release, I have more facts available to me meaning that the Spectre Chronicles will be closer to canon than it was before, but the events will largely stay the same. In addition, Spectre's weapons are getting a revamp to better compliment a more varied fighting style, so the fight scenes will be different too; I also plan to extend the fight scenes slightly for more badassery.

Due to work and other things, I'm gonna release these chapters on a bi-weekly basis (or every two weeks for people who don't know) to better suit my current life. As you may or may not know from reading previous chapters, I am working alongside another author called RubyLeo. 'Before the Beginning' (BtB) by Ruby Leo and 'The Spectre Chronicles' (SC) by myself are in fact a part of the same universe with BtB taking place a year before canon and SC. This means that you will see characters from one fic appearing in the other, the main ones in my case being Spectre and Shadow (Spectre's twin) appearing in BtB so it's important for me to make sure that everything is consistent between the two. This was part of the reason for not releasing for over a year and also why I'm releasing bi-weekly now. I've also come up with a load of other characters which are significant and fairly fleshed out, like Aurora from my most recent chapter, so planning ahead for the fic got suddenly a lot more complicated than I initially imagined, so cracking on with writing may create a hypothetical barrier that cuts of certain ways that the story could go (if that makes sense... XD).

In other news I now have Spectre artwork more or less ready to go now. Yup, it only took me several years to get a hold of and I ended up doing myself XD. So yeah that's a thing.

Also, and I'm sure this won't be much an issue to most (unless I am very wrong indeed...), but Spectre: Spin Offs isn't coming back. I know right? Remnant's Christmas will not be saved after all... Whether they actually have Christmas or not is up to you guys, but I digress. Spectre: Spin Offs kinda became a bit much for me and became a distraction at the end of the day so I'm finally hitting the nail on the head you could say.

So, I think that's about it. That's right folks, Spectre is indeed coming back! CONFIRMED! Pretty cool, eh? #2DANK5ME. It'll be a good'un (I hope and pray...).
