((Welcome back to Sonic '06 Bloopers!
First off…I got Sonic '06 for Christmas. (Holy Chaos, has it really been that long since I wrote this story?! Whoops! ^^;) And…NOW I SEE WHY EVERYONE HATES THE GAME! I almost don't wanna DO the first cutscene bloopers because I've seen it SO MANY TIMES! Wanna know how far I am in the game? I can't beat the first level, which is Wave Ocean. And I've encountered so many glitches within it after playing it over and over and over and over and over and over and over again so many times. If you get a game over within the first level, it doesn't save your progress ANYWHERE and you have to play the first mandatory missions over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again, and it takes about 15 minutes to even GET to the first level from the first cutscene. I've gotten so good at those missions, it's sad. I'm already sick of the game. But y'know, that's enough of my whining. Let's get on with the story after like four months of neglecting to write it! :D *eye twitch*
Today we will be dealing with tripping, character models, and flubbed lines. Hope you enjoy this addition to Sonic '06 Bloopers!))
Chapter 4
For several seconds, the room was a ruckus upon the arrival of the newcomer. Sonic's eyes widened, and he took a few steps back and tripped over a chair, falling onto his spiny blue butt. Rouge gasped. Amy cried out with surprise. Knuckles's did a spit-take with the coffee he was drinking. Even Silver and Blaze's eyes widened a little, and the latter made a small, indignant sound, already having memorized her script. Shadow barely acknowledged the girl. Tails snickered, and then laughed out loud.
It was Tails's laugh that silenced everyone. The group stared at him.
"What's so funny?" the innocent looking Elise said. Her voice was kind.
There was a heavy cough from Knuckles that sounded strangely like "virgin."
Tails spoke through his laughter. "Everyone except Sonic, read Scene 87 of the script."
They did, skimming through until a specific part caught their eyes. They all cried out, some throwing their papers on the table, others dropping them on the floor and stomping on them. Shadow only raised his eyebrows and the smallest of evil smirks lit his otherwise sullen face. Arumakan frowned.
"If you have a problem with the writing, don't complain to me, complain to the writers," he said, but the anthros paid no heed to the director.
"What is it?" Sonic asked, getting to his feet, rubbing his behind indignantly, and grabbing for a script. Shadow quickly snatched it away; he was the only one with reflexes as fast as the blue hedgehog's. Sonic looked at him with raised eyebrows.
"I think it'd be best if you didn't know what happens until the time comes," the ebony hedgehog said. He ripped out the last few pages and burned them to dust with Chaos energy.
"Hey!" Sonic protested. He tried grabbing another copy, but once again, Shadow beat him to the punch, keeping the packet out of reach. Sonic tried to snatch it out of his hands, but Shadow merely teleported to the other side of the table. The others, deciding to join in on the joke, (and Amy only doing so because she thought if Sonic didn't know, the scene wouldn't be able to occur,) handed the last pages of their scripts to Shadow, who collected them. Sonic pouted.
Elise giggled. "I look forward to working with you!" she said.
Sonic cast the girl a Shadow-like glare, figuring that the secret scene had a lot to do with this "Princess" Elise.
The tension in the room had thickened, most of it resonating between Sonic and Shadow.
"Well, then," Arumakan said after a few moments' silence, "I guess we can start filming soon. Everyone, to the Character Modifier."
Immediately, the tension was replaced with an excitement that filled the room. The Character Modifier was a machine that updated each of the game characters' appearances for each new game. It always gave them a sense of great anticipation to see what they'd look like next. The team nearly stampeded over Arumakan in an attempt to get to the Modifier first. Naturally, Sonic was the first standing at the door. The team gathered and started talking to each other animatedly about what they hoped their new designs would look like.
"Coming through!" Arumakan cried as he shouldered his way through the crowd. He took out his key card and unlocked the door. The door had barely slid open when everyone rushed inside. Sonic was the first to step into the machine, which was a cylinder of glass with a metal top and bottom containing the machine's wiring and computer programming.
"Design me, baby!" he called.
Shadow smirked and typed a command into the computer, and the base and ceiling of the container glowed. The light surrounded the blue hedgehog, so no one could see him. When it faded, Sonic's quills were black and spiky, and he had red eyes to match red highlights in his quills.
"Faker," Shadow said pointedly.
Sonic gave him a Shadow-like glare. "Change me back, faker."
"You're the faker now, I was created before you were born," Shadow pointed out.
"I was on the planet before you," Sonic-the-Shadow countered.
The whole crew said, "Oooooooooooooooooo!"
"Now, now," Rouge said, stepping up to the controls, "This is what he should look like." She typed in the commands and Sonic's character model was changed again. This time, he was extremely tall, buff, and had abs. Sonic posed with a smirk, and Amy couldn't withhold her squeals.
"Can I marry you?!" she cried, bouncing on her toes.
"I could get used to this," Sonic grinned, flexing.
Arumakan was chuckling in the background, letting the team do what they wanted for a few minutes.
Tails stepped up. "I have a better one." He typed in his commands.
Sonic now looked relatively normal, besides what looked like bandages around his wrists, ankles, and new shoes and gloves. His quills were a mess, and he had a bandana around his neck. A comlink was strapped around his wrist.
Rouge cringed. "That could take some getting used to."
"Don't worry, it's only temporary!" Tails said. "It's just for the game—"
He was hushed as the fourth wall was tapped on but not broken.
"I have an idea!" Amy quipped. She used the Modifier to change Sonic into a human. He was tall and buff with blue spiky hair and the same emerald green eyes, wearing headphones and a white and blue running jacket and sports pants. And, of course, he kept his red sneakers. He looked like something from an anime.
"Nice," Rouge approved.
Knuckles grinned. "I have a better idea!"
He made Sonic look like a tiny, blue, normal hedgehog, his spines blue, tiny sneakers and gloves on his little feet, and his nose twitching.
Amy shrieked/squealed and scooped him up. "HE'S SO CUTE!" she cried.
Sonic curled into a ball, hopped out of her hands and rolled around on the floor. The whole crew cooed at the adorableness.
"All right, that's enough of that," Arumakan spoke up. "Let's give him his proper CGI model." He attempted to grab the tiny hedgehog, but Sonic rolled out of the way and under a cabinet against the wall. The director groaned.
"Can someone get him?" he asked.
"Leave it to me," Shadow said. He kneeled down in front of the cabinet and fired a Chaos Spear underneath it. A frightened Sonic squeaked in protest and ran out and underneath a refrigerator.
Amy gasped. "Don't, you're scaring him! He needs a woman's charm." She kneeled down by the fridge and cooed, "Come on out, Sonikku, we all miss you!"
Sonic only shied back into a corner.
Amy growled a little in frustration and stood up. She took out her piko-piko hammer and started beating the fridge. "Come out you lazy hedgie! We need you out here!"
Tails groaned. "You guys are doing it all wrong. Back up, Amy." She did so. Tails walked up to the fridge and took out a chili dog. He went to the rec room next door and heated it up. He then took Amy's place, crouching in front of the fridge and directing the sweet aroma of the chili dog towards Sonic.
"Hey, you want this?" Tails asked calmly.
Sonic's ears perked, his nose sniffing the air.
"Follow me," he said, and he slowly backed up toward the Modifier, keeping the chili dog low to the ground. Slowly, cautiously, Sonic began to follow, padding out from under the fridge. Tails set the chili dog on the platform of the Modifier and stepped back as Sonic set to nibbling it.
"Now!" Tails said, closing the door.
Arumakan typed in commands, and Sonic's model changed to a very cute, curious teenage hedgehog who looked ready for adventure. He was still nomming the chili dog. Sonic froze and noticed what he was doing, then shoved the chili dog in his mouth and stood, brushing dust off himself. The team nodded in approval at his new look.
Sonic looked at himself. "I look…like myself!" he stated.
"And now for the non-CGI…" Arumakan changed the model again. Sonic's friends cringed, gasped, and even turned away and screamed in horror at what he had become.
"What?" Sonic asked at the strange responses. "Is it really that bad?"
Tails, grimacing, walked up with a full-length mirror. Sonic looked at his reflection.
He was too tall and discolored, and his legs were far too long for his body. His quills were long and slightly skinny, and he looked shiny, as if he was a vampire from Twilight. His mouth was in the middle of his muzzle, which limited how much emotion he could express. His eyes were kind of pointed and he looked angry without trying to be. His arms were also very skinny. Sonic screamed like a girl and backed away from the mirror.
"I'm a monster!" he cried.
"Oh, quit being overly dramatic, it's not that bad. We need you to be in the CGI character mode for the first scene anyway," Arumakan explained.
Sonic sighed in relief as his director changed him back.
Arumakan turned to the rest of the crew. "Most of you will get a CGI scene at some point, but for now, all except Sonic, Silver, Eggman and Elise are needed in the gaming character mod right now."
Everyone groaned, already expecting things to go horribly.
A few days later, when filming begins…
SCENE 1 – The Parade
- Take 1 -
Cameraman: *filming the water at the beginning, suddenly the camera flips up to show the fake sky and part of the studio ceiling as it falls into the water* Oops…
Arumakan: *groans* Cut.
- Take 2 -
Cameraman: *films the water, then pans up to a green screen, cuts to the boat where girls are dancing on the deck*
Dancer: *slips on spilled chili on the deck, causing a dominos effect with all the dancers*
Arumakan: Who's eating on set?!
Sonic: *was perched on one of the flag poles, eating a chili dog, ears perk* Hm?
Arumakan: Out! Get out! This isn't your scene!
Sonic: It will be in thirty seconds! *speeds off, spilling more chili on the set*
- Take 3 -
Elise: *while looking into the flames of a torch, gasps at the "vision" she's having*
Mistress: Miss Elise?
Elise: It's alright…
Knuckles: *from backstage* SHE'S ON HER PERIOD!
Arumakan: CUT! Quiet backstage!
- Take 4 -
Elise: We give thanks for the blasted flames…wait, what? Thanks for the blessed flames—
Arumakan: *groans* Cut…
Sonic: *to Tails* I never realized how very…giraffe-like she is. Look at that neck!
Tails: *snickers*
- Take 5 -
Elise: We give thanks for the blessed flames. May we always continue to have peace. Sonic of Soleanna, guide and watch over us…
Arumakan: Cut.
Elise: What? Did I say something wrong?
Sonic: *smirks* I always knew I was godly.
- Take 6 -
*manage to get all the way to the bombs, one hits Elise, it breaks open and covers her with a barrel of monkeys*
Arumakan: SONIC!
Sonic: *laughs in the rafters, falls backwards and lands in the water with a splash, starts flailing* HELP!
Arumakan: Someone fish him out…
- Take 7 -
Eggman: *appears for the first time in his new overly-realistic character mod, and there are screams and shrieks of complete horror all around set* Oh, come on, I don't look that bad…
Sonic: Booooo! *throws barrel of monkeys*
- Take 8 -
Sonic: *a blue whirlwind which is actually Sonic surrounds Elise, stops too late on the pillar and trips, falls into the water, flails in it* HELP ME! I'M DROWNING!
Knuckles: Just stand up, you moron!
Sonic: Oh… *stands and walks off the set*
Arumakan: Can we get it right at least once?!
- Take 9 -
Sonic: *finally able to be himself, becomes all epic and cheeky and destroys all bots* Ha, it's no uuuuuuse!
Silver: That's my line!
- Take 10 -
Sonic: I'm Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog! *scoops Elise up in his arms and runs off*
Eggman: Not that irritating hedgehog again! ATTACK!
Sonic: *outruns all missiles, but on the stretch of road along the lake, trips on a pebble and tumbles into a wall* AGH!
Elise: *gets dropped on his head* Oops! Sorry!
Sonic: *groans, whines* You ruined my whole vibe!
Arumakan: Cut, cut, CUT!
- Take 11 -
*finally makes it through most of the scene*
Silver: *watching Sonic run away* I finally found him…the Iblis Tigger.
Tails: And the Mephiles Pooh!
Arumakan: *growls* CUT! Once more! And get it right this time or we aren't doing this at all!
All: *shrug* Okay.
Arumakan: *sighs* How about get it right or it's coming off your paycheck?
Tails: We're getting paid?!
- Take 12 -
Silver: I finally found him…the Iblis Trigger.
Arumakan: Aaaaaand cut! That's a wrap!
*the team cheers after a full day of unsuccessful shooting up until that point*
((*groan* DONE. I'm done. I'm done I'm done I'm done. GOOD NIGHT/GOOD MORNING/GOOD AFTERNOON BECAUSE I'M DONE WITH THIS CHAPTER. BYE.
