Hey everyone! I'm so sorry that I haven't updated sooner. I just couldn't a fight scene done. And then I kinda forgott about the story since there was so much going in my life. And then a couple of days a ago I got a couple of nice reviews, telling me they haven't forgotten my story and are patiently waiting for an update. That was a really nice thing to do. And I wanted to make them happy, cause they made me happy. So for the last 3 days I've tried to do it right but just couldn't so this is my solution. Hope you like it. Enjoy

When Kensi woke up in the morning she knew that today would be the day. He would be back some time in the afternoon. And then she would fight and she would either escape or die but she would rather day than stay here one day longer.

She made sure that she had anything she needed to take care of that electronic bracelet, so she could leave the house once she won the fight.

Around noon she lay down for a quick power nap on the couch in the living room.

When she opened her eyes, she was on some beach, lying face down on a beach towel. The first thing she saw when she lifted her head was Sophia and Deeks building a sandcastle a couple of feet away.

"Mommy! You're awake." Sophia came and hugged her. "Look what Daddy and I made." She pointed at the sandcastle, obviously proud of herself.

"That's a very big and pretty castle." Kensi said, smiling at her daughter. Deeks sat down on the towel next to Kensi, slinging an arm around her waist, pulling her closer and kissing her.

Something or rather someone shook her awake. She slowly opened her eyes and Mark's face came into focus. A very red face...

"I told you to never speak or think about him again!" He yelled at Kensi. "Your talking in your sleep." Mark added at Kensi's perplexed expression.

"So, how am I gonna punish you this time?"

"You're not." Kensi hissed at him now fully awake.

"What did you say?" Mark said with fury in his eyes.

It was now or never and Kensi decided to make the first move.

She shot up from the couch and threw her fist at his face. He stumbled back holding his bleeding nose. "You bitch!"

When she came to, she was lying face down in the grass. Everything that happened was a blur. Her head throbbed and when she touched the side of her head she felt blood.

She looked around and saw Mark lying on the ground a couple of feet away. He was not moving, so Kensi crawled over to him to make sure he was dead, which he was not.

She stumbled across the lawn towards the fence. If Mark woke up, she was screwed. Clearly, she was in no condition to win a fight, so she ran.

And she had a plan for the bracelet. Dry leaves, they shouldn't conduct electricity, so she shouldn't feel the shock. She quickly collected a couple of leaves and stuffed them between her skin and the bracelet. With one look back towards the unconscious Mark she started to limp towards the fence.

It actually worked! She could only feel a light tingle that's it. Powered by the joy of being able to escape she started running but stopped after a couple of minutes. She had no idea where to go, but it seemed to dangerous to just follow the path that Mark always took with his truck. He could catch up to here to easily.

So she went towards the forest. It was getting colder as the sun started to set. She stumbled through the undergrowth as it was getting darker and darker, wondering if there were any dangerous animals out there.

Since she had no idea where she was, she also had no idea what kind of animals she could expect. And that scared her just as much as the thought of Mark finding her.

After a couple of minutes a tree stand came in sight. Kensi thought for a minute and then figured it would be her best bet. At least it was a wooden box rather than just a seat, that would at least protect her from the wind and rain, should it start to rain.

She climbed up the latter and stepped inside, she found a blanket on the, that she used to protect herself from the cold as she drifted off in an uneasy sleep.

It's been a couple of weeks since Agent Dearing became Deeks' partner. And obviously she still is. He has done his job and had her back and so did she. But other than that he hadn't really anything to do with her.

He wasn't rude to her or anything. Whenever they had to talk, he was neutral. And that's it, he only talked to her when necessary.

She didn't hit on him but she also didn't offer him any "sorry for your loss", so he guessed Sam and G had given up on telling everyone that story in order to make them stay longer. Deeks was actually a bit curious why Agent Dearing stayed for so long.

He tried to get his attention back to the paperwork in front of him, bu picked up a picture of him and Kensi up instead. It was taken when they were out with the team on night, sitting next to each other and laughing at the camera.

His phone startled him out of his trance.

"Yes?"
"Hey daddy" Sophia laughed in the phone.
"Hey pumpkin is everything ok?"
"Yes daddy. I'm fine. Jasmin picked me up after school and we just finished our homework. I just felt like calling you."

Deeks could hear Jasmin and Chris talking in the background.

"That's good. So we can spend the time having fun when we get home. We could take Monty and go to the beach. He would love to chase the seagulls."
"Oh yes please daddy! Can you hurry up working? PLEASE!?"

Deeks laughed, he knew how much she loved the beach, just like he did.

"I'll try princess. But then I better go. Love you."
"Thanks daddy. I love you, too."

When he put his phone down, he caught Agent Dearing staring at him with curiosity in her eyes.
Jesus, he didn't even know her first name. He put the picture that he was still holding, down on the desk next to a picture of him and Sophia.

"What?" he asked.

"I didn't know that you could show any emotion that's all."

He stood up and packed his bag without responding to that statement. He looked over at Hetty's desk.
"I'm going home early Hetty."
"Tell Sophia that her grandma loves her and wants to spend some time with her, Marty."
"Will do. Bye guys."

Sam and G responded and Deeks was gone.

Agent Dearing looked at them confused. "Agent Deeks is Hetty's son AND he has a daughter?"

Sam and G exchanged a look before Sam responded.

"It's a long and complicated story. But most of all it's Deeks story to tell."

Agent Dearing stood up and went over to Deeks desk to look at the picture that Deeks had looked at before. His daughter looks just like her mom. Maybe him being neutral to me is just a way of him making sure no one flirts with him, she thought. I didn't notice a wedding band though. I have to look out for that tomorrow. And I'm gonna make sure he knows that I'm not interested in a relationship, maybe that's gonna make him more friendly.
