After Deeks left, Claire sat down behind her desk. She was confused. She thought that Deeks was so distant because he wanted to protect his marriage or stuff like that, but with his wife being dead it didn't make any sense. Unless she has hasn't been dead that long. But she herself has been here for a couple of months and when she came no one acted as if someone had just died. It was all very confusing. All she wanted was a good partnership, nothing more. Their lives depended on each other after all.
And then there was this whole grandma thing with Hetty. Neither Deeks or his wife looks like they could be Hetty's child...there is adoption of course but it seems unlikely. Are relatives even allowed to work together like this?
She stood up and decided to go home as well. With all those thoughts and questions in her mind she had no way of completing any work. She walked over to Hetty's desk to say good bye. The older women was looking at a picture of the team...and there she was, the answer to all her questions. Sitting at the desk, Claire was using right now, was Deeks dead wife.
She said goodbye to Hetty and turned around to go home.
When Deeks got home that evening, he didn't get Soph from Jasmin right away. He needed to think in peace for a while. Maybe he had it all wrong. Maybe Agent Dearing, er Claire, was really nice and not like the other female Agents before her. She really seemed interested in meeting Kensi. And she was really shocked when he told her that she was dead. Now that he actually thought about it he noticed that Claire had not made any attempt to flirt with him. Maybe he should give her a chance. It's not like they are gonna become best buddies but maybe we can form a good partnership. He has got a lot of explaining to do...some time soon.
After figuring that out he got is computer and started planing his and Sophia's trip to Germany.
He got a text after a while from Jasmin.
Hey, r u ok? Soph noticed u coming home a while ago. She is wondering
y u haven't picked her up yet. -Jas
He wrote back that he'd be there in a minute. He put his computer away and got the leash out for Monty. He would take Monty to get Sophia and they would go for a walk along the beach.
They were walking along the beach with Monty chasing the seagulls.
"I've booked a two week vacation for us after Thanksgiving. Just the two of us. How does that sound, princess?"
She looked at him with the biggest smile on her face.
"Really Daddy? Where are we going?"
"I was thinking that since you seem so interested in Germany that we should go to Germany and maybe visit the town that Jasmin grew up in."
Sophia squealed in delight.
"Oh Daddy, that is awesome! Thank you, thank you, thank you!" She hugged him around the middle.
"can I call grandma later and tell her where we're going?"
"Sure pumpkin" He smiled at her.
It's been three days since a man came into the hospital of Great Falls, Montana, carrying an unconscious woman. He said he was hunting when he found the woman in his tree stand. She was in very bad condition. Her temperature was too low, she had a brain injury which caused her brain to swell, a couple of broken bones and open cuts. Everything happened very quick after that. Trying to get her temperature up and preparing her for surgery to relieve the pressure on her brain. She hasn't woken up yet from that surgery and Tina knew the doctors didn't even know if she would wake up. Tina has been a nurse in the ICU for over ten years and never did she have such a mysterious patient as this women. Police had questioned the man who had found the women and then they had searched the area around the tree stand and came upon a remote farm. According to the newspaper article they had found a body of a men but they don't know if those two cases are related somehow. But Tina thought it was obvious that the women was held captive and somehow had fought back and escaped. It was just a feeling in her gut but of course the police needed evidence. They couldn't even ID the women. It was frustrating for Tina. But she did as she was told and just did her job. Tomorrow would be another day and maybe the woman would wake up and tell her story.
