REVENGE OF THE GANGERS PART 2

As Amy was being hauled off by a small army of Gangers, she suddenly broke one arm free from them. She smiled because one arm was all that she needed. As she began punching every Ganger in sight unconscious instantly with one blow, she quickly freed herself and began running from them.

"I'm slowing down in my old age. It used to be that I could have done that a lot quicker," Amy joked to herself even as she tried very hard not to think about what might be happening to her family at that very moment.

Amy finally found Rory after several minutes of running through the ship looking for him with a whole pack of Gangers on her heels. Rory was sitting inside of a cell where he looked at Amy in surprise as she ran past him.

"Hey, I'm over here!" He called out.

"I can see that but I'm a little busy right now," Amy called out behind her as the Gangers continue to chase her and fire on her with their guns.

"Well, do you plan on coming back anytime soon?" Rory shouted in an even louder voice.

"Did you not see the crazy mob chasing after me?" Amy shouted back as her voice sounded more and more distant from him now.

"It never stopped you before," Rory said sadly as he could hear the pounding footsteps of Amy and the clones already receding away from him.

Suddenly Amy appeared right in front of him and tossed him her sonic watch as she grinned and said, "Here, do it yourself. I can't save you all the time, can I?"

Then she started running again with the Gangers directly after her again. She laughed as she called out to Rory, "You know I could get to like this. It's kind of fun. Maybe I should have Gangers chasing after me all the time so that I can keep in shape."

Rory couldn't help but grin at that as he heard the running footsteps recede off into the distance again. When he was sure that no one was watching he used the sonic watch to open his cell and quickly left.

He didn't get far though because he found the General waiting for him just a few feet away. She stood there with a sweet smile on her face as she held a gun on him.

"I don't want to have to use this but I will. Go back into your cell, Rory. You're not going anywhere," the General said.

"Jennifer, you're forcing me to stay against my will. Doesn't that bother you in the slightest? If you cared anything about me at all, you'd never want me to be unhappy," Rory said as he tried to reach her even as he wondered if there was anything left of Jennifer in her to reach.

The General's eyes softened as she said, "You might be unhappy at first, but you'll see that this is all for the best later. I'm so much better for you than she is, Rory. I'll never treat you badly, and I'll always be loyal to you. Don't worry, sweetheart. You'll soon learn to love it here."

Then she surprised Rory by suddenly giving him a tender kiss that he quickly pulled away from. She looked at him with a hurt expression on her face that quickly turned back into a smile as Rory sighed in exasperation. She was just too far gone to understand anything it seemed.

The General continued to smile at him as she said, "It's okay. You're just a little confused right now, but eventually you'll understand."

"Did you kill my family, Jennifer? Is what you told us before true?" Rory demanded as he became angrier and angrier at her attitude.

"They weren't really your family anyway, Rory. They were hers. You don't need them. All you need is me," the General said as she moved forward to kiss him again.

"Don't tell me that they weren't my family! My children and father were on that ship!" Rory shouted.

The General looked at the pain on his face and heard the agony in his voice, and it tore at her heartstrings. Something suddenly changed inside of her in that moment and she felt like her old self again somehow.

It was Jennifer not the General now who looked at him in shock as she said, "I didn't know. I'm sorry. I thought . . ."

"That's the problem! You didn't think! You never think!" Rory screamed as he could feel anger like he had never felt before building up inside of him.

This was the anger of a Time Lord that he had feared before he had changed. He was trying to keep it under control though because he didn't want to give into it.

"They may not be dead. They could have escaped," Jennifer suggested hopefully.

"I have to find out. I have to know," Rory said in tears.

"Of course. I'll take you to the observation deck, and we can track them from there," Jennifer said in a kind voice.

"Jennifer?" Rory asked as he realized that she was different now.

"Yes, Rory, it's me. I feel as if my head is clearing somehow. I feel more like myself than I have since I first met you," Jennifer said in excitement as she wrapped her arms around him and gently kissed his cheek.

That was when Rory heard an angry snarl behind him. Oh, great! He thought.

Both he and Jennifer turned to see Amy standing there with a small army of unconscious Gangers trailing behind her down the hallway as far as the eye could see. Amy had her hands clenched into fists, and her eyes blazed with fury as she glared at Jennifer like she wanted to rip her head off and play cricket with it.

Which knowing Amy she just might do Rory couldn't help but think to himself.

"Get away from my husband! Now!" Amy said in a furious voice.

"Amy, wait. We've sort of come to an understanding," Rory said.

"She's just playing with your emotions. Don't let her fool you, Rory. She's trying to trick you. She's not suddenly going to change in the snap of a finger. She's just doing this to get you back to her soldiers where she can trap you," Amy said.

Rory sighed as he could instantly see a change come over Jennifer's face and she shouted, "I wasn't doing anything but trying to help him save his family. Obviously you could care less about them or him though! You don't care about anyone but yourself!"

"Shut up! You don't know me. You don't know anything about me," Amy shouted.

"Oh, great. This is all I need," Rory said as he watched Jennifer's hands beginning to change into huge scythes as she became taller and larger.

"Jennifer, stop! We need to find the TARDIS!" Rory pleaded.

"I'll find it as soon as I smash her into the nearest wall. Don't worry. It shouldn't take long," Jennifer said.

She began running toward Amy at top speed now as her legs changed shape and became much more muscular so that she could run faster. A huge scythe like hand headed straight for Amy's head as she quickly ducked and punched Jennifer in the solar plexus at the same time.

As Jennifer momentarily had the wind knocked out of her, Amy took advantage of this to deliver a strong punch to her jaw that sent the Ganger reeling. As Jennifer fell over in a daze, Amy pounced on her and began punching her over and over again as she tried to deliver a knockout blow to her. That was easier said than done though since Jennifer's current form was much stronger than her human one.

"Amy, stop it! We need her help to find the others. She was really going to help me until you interrupted her," Rory protested.

"The only thing that she seemed to care about was making you into her new boy toy from where I was standing. Face it, Rory. She was just leading you on. She's the one who just sent our family away if you'll remember. There's no way that she was going to help us get them back," Amy said as she continued to pound Jennifer's face in.

Suddenly Amy began to gasp as most of Jennifer's body morphed into that of a giant snake's, and she began to squeeze the life out of her. Amy's eyes began bulging out of their sockets as Jennifer grinned evilly at her.

"Not so tough sounding now, are you? It's over now. This is for killing me!" Jennifer said in a voice filled with anger.

"Jennifer, stop! You said that you would help me," Rory pleaded.

"I'm sorry, Rory, but they're dead now. I know that doesn't help you, but it's far too late now to even bother searching for them," Jennifer said in a gentle tone.

"You lied. You never intended on helping me," Rory accused her.

"I was going to search for them but only to make you feel better because I doubt that we'll find them now. I just wanted to help ease your transition into your new life here with me," Jennifer said.

"I . . . told . . . you," Amy managed to spit out.

"You shut up!" Jennifer shouted as she opened her mouth to an unnatural size as her lower jaw suddenly detached and hung down low.

She quickly moved her head forward, and Rory realized to his horror that she was about to swallow her whole just like a snake would. He quickly aimed Amy's sonic watch toward the Ganger and prepared to go on the attack against her even as he tried one last attempt to talk her out of it. Even now he felt as if there were still a real human being left inside of her somewhere that he could appeal to if he just tried to hard enough.

"Jennifer, no! Let her go. Now! I don't want to have to hurt you, but I will if you don't let my wife go," Rory warned.

Jennifer gave him a look that was a mixture of anger, confusion, and pain as she said, "You'd still pick her over me? I'm offering you a life with me for eternity. I know that you're a Time Lord now after having my ship analyze you when you first came onboard, and I believe that with my altered biology as a Ganger that I could possibly live just as long as you do. We'd be the perfect couple after I get rid of her."

"Jennifer, stop! If you care anything about me, just stop!" Rory said in an emotional voice.

Jennifer stopped and turned to look straight into his eyes as she said, "You would do it, wouldn't you?"

"Yes, but I don't want to. I still think that you're a good person deep down who has had her mind warped because her body is unstable," Rory said.

Jennifer nodded as she said, "Fine. Have the little witch back then!"

Jennifer picked Amy up with one huge hand and threw her across the room. Amy landed on the floor with a groan of pain and was quickly back up on her feet again as she grabbed the sonic watch out of Rory's hand before he could move.

Amy aimed the watch at Jennifer as she started to return to her normal form and started to attack her with it immediately. Jennifer grabbed her ears in pain as a bombardment of sound assaulted them. Her ears began to bleed and then her eyes quickly rolled back in her head as she immediately passed out. She returned completely back to normal now as her head hit the floor hard.

"That's what you get for messing with my family, you . . .!" Amy said in a breathless voice.

"Amy, we have to find the others. Maybe they're still alive," Rory said interrupting her.

Amy nodded and the two of them started to run hand in hand down the hall as they searched for an alternate way to track the TARDIS down without drawing the attention of any of the other Gangers who might be left onboard. The last thing that they needed was to be found and captured again.

Luckily for them, their family found them first. The TARDIS materialized right in front of them, and Amy and Rory quickly went inside before anyone could stop them. Jennifer woke up just in time to see the TARDIS dematerialize as her heart sank in her chest. Yet at the same time that she mourned Rory's loss she was also happy for him.

"I'm glad that you found them, Rory," Jennifer whispered meaning it.

"General, have they escaped?" One of her soldiers said as they woke up.

"Yes, I'm afraid so. It doesn't matter. We'll have a chance to gain our revenge on Amy Pond again someday. When we do find them again though, we won't harm her husband or his family. Is that understood?" Jennifer ordered.

"Yes, Ma'am," the Ganger soldier said as he looked at her curiously since until now she had been talking about wiping out all of humanity. Something had definitely changed about her.

"There's no need to harm innocents. We're not monsters after all. No matter what some of the humans might think," Jennifer said.

She wasn't giving up the hope that someday she could still be with Rory despite all of this though. Maybe once Rory saw that she had really changed for the better, he would finally want her at last.

That's right, folks. Jennifer was still out of her gourd just not as much as before. She was now just a part-time nutter instead of a full-time one.

It's not much but it's still progress, right?

Meanwhile back on the TARDIS, Amy and Rory were receiving some terrible news. When they had first gotten back inside, they were smiling ear to ear because they were sure that everyone was safe and that somehow the day had been saved despite the odds.

Then they suddenly realized that one of their family was missing.

Selene was at the console with a mournful look on her face as she said in a voice filled with despair, "I'm sorry, Clio! I couldn't save her. She was too far away."

Amy and Rory both knew who she meant instantly as they realized that Sirona was missing. Amy struggled to maintain her composure at she continued to listen to Selene explain what happened to her.

"Sirona was the first one to reach the console as we started freefalling as soon as we were transmatted, and the still open doors were trying to suck all of us out of them at once. I still don't know how she did it, but somehow she managed to dematerialize and set coordinates for our next destination even as she held onto the console for her life. Then almost as soon as she finished and managed to make sure that we would all be safe, she was sucked out. I don't even know where we were so I don't know where she would have landed. Maybe she could have survived it. Maybe she regenerated," Selene said in tears.

"It wasn't your fault, Lena," Amy said in a gentle tone.

"It happened again just like before. I should have stopped it somehow. It should have been me. It should have been me!" Selene said in despair.

"Stop it! Just stop it! Don't you ever say that again!" Julia said as she wrapped her arms around Selene and held her tightly.

"It was my fault," Selene said in a voice filled with pain as Julia continued to hug her.

"No, it wasn't. It was Jennifer's fault," Amy said in a hard voice.

"Amy, don't even think about going back there!" Rory said.

"I won't, Rory, but one day I will cross paths with her again. Only one of us is going to walk away that day. I will never let her get away with what she did. Ever," Amy said in a voice filled with cold anger.

"Amy, you can't do that. Sirona would never want you to become a cold-blooded killer," Brian said.

"Who said anything about killing her? I'm a Time Lord, Brian. I can do so much worse to her than kill her. So much worse," Amy said as fire danced in her eyes.

"Amy?" Brian asked as he began to worry about her.

The anger disappeared from Amy's face as she said, "It's okay, Brian. You don't have to worry about me."

Rory knew better though. Amy was doing her best to hide her anger for his father's benefit, but Rory could see that it was still there just simmering under the surface. Sooner or later, it would explode and then the full fury of a Time Lord would be unleashed on Jennifer at last.

After what Jennifer had just done, Rory couldn't say that he blamed her either. There was no way that he would hesitate to use the sonic watch on her the next time that he saw her. For killing a gentle soul like Sirona especially so soon after she had been reunited with her mother, he felt that she fully deserved whatever she would get.

Meanwhile Sirona woke up inside of a strange TARDIS that she instantly knew was not her mother's with absolutely no idea of how she had gotten there. The last thing that she remembered was falling through the air and heading straight toward the ocean before passing out.

"Well, it's good to see you up. Are you okay?" a very familiar voice asked her.

She looked up stunned to see her mother standing over her and yet it wasn't her mother. She could feel that this Amy was human and not a Time Lord. Then she realized where she was and her eyes went wide with surprise even before the other occupant of the TARDIS spoke.

"She's fine, Amy. I let her land in the swimming pool. It absorbed the impact from that horrible fall. You are okay, right?" the Doctor asked.

Sirona just looked at him in shock as she slowly said, "Uh, yeah. Yeah, I'm fine."

"Good, then you can tell me how you survived the destruction of Gallifrey. Did you hide as a human? Where have you been all of this time?" the Doctor asked as a look of childlike eagerness came over his face.

"Doctor, do you mean that she's a Time Lord?" Amy asked as she smiled at the Doctor with joy because she was so happy for him.

"Yes, Pond. She's one of my own people. I've finally found another Time Lord at last. I'm the Doctor and this is my friend, Amy. You are?" the Doctor asked.

"I'm . . . Amber," Sirona said thinking quickly.

"Amber? That's a strange name for a Time Lord," the Doctor said looking perplexed.

"My mother liked human names. She was a huge fan of Earth culture," Sirona said.

"Really? Well, maybe not all Time Lords are that bad after all. At least you don't act as loony as the Doctor. It's nice to meet you, Amber," Amy said.

"It's nice to meet you too, Amy," Sirona said as she had to resist the urge to hug her as she usually did.

Sirona couldn't believe what was happening to her. Somehow she had wound up in a past version of the Doctor's TARDIS when her mother was still human and traveling with the Doctor. She was now instantly filled with questions that she desperately needed the answers to.

How would she get back to the proper version of her mother without altering history, and why hadn't she ever told her about this? That last question really bothered her because it made her worried. It made her wonder if something had happened to her in the past that made her mother forget about her ever being there in the first place. Would she ever get to go back home or would she become trapped here in the wrong part of the timeline forever?

Next: Sirona goes traveling with the past version of the Doctor and Amy, and the three of them immediately get themselves into trouble. What else did you expect? Meanwhile our Amy goes to Gallifrey to tell Oisin and Karen what happened to Sirona only to find out that something extraordinary has occurred there while she was away. As for the questions going through Sirona's mind right now, don't worry about those. All will be answered eventually.
