Leia picked up firewood not too far from the camp where the X-wing had plunged through the trees. The damage the fighter had done gave her more then enough that she didn't have to break off any new branches. She had a feeling she should be seeking out a village but she couldn't leave Vader alone by himself either. She glanced at the X-wing and walked over to it and opened the compartment. She saw the oxygen tanks again. She knew he was going to need air soon. Biting down on her lower lip she picked up the oxygen tanks and placed them onto the skid she hobbled together earlier to drag the branches around in. She hoped help arrived soon, but from who was another question. Could her friends reach her in time or would the Imperials beat them here?

It was only a matter of time before that question was answered. As she walked back to the camp she kept a look out for the long-range transmitter antenna. Without the antenna there was nothing Vader could do to help speed things along. It was beginning to look like they were in it for the long haul.

As she approached the camp close to the TIE fighter wreckage. Artoo greeted her with excitement as he dragged something behind him. It was the transmitter. "Artoo, where did you find that?" Leia questioned as Artoo beeped and rotated his eye to look at her. "Never mind, can Vader fix it?"

Artoo whistled and beeped as he turned his attention to Vader who had his head leaning against the tree. Leia frowned wondering if he finally fell asleep. She rested her hand on top of Artoo's dome then looked at the transmitter. By miracle it was intact. "We should wake him to make sure he's still breathing. I don't understand it. I thought I would be really angry with him. I can't shake the feeling I should know him better. I don't know anything about my real parents, what if Bail…" She let her train of thought trail off. What if there was a reason why Threepio doesn't remember who built him? What if there is a reason why Bail avoided all her questions with a I don't know who they were, it was a closed adoption answer. Bail told her they had died. Or had he?

Leia stared at Vader as she turned her attention to Artoo. Was it possible she was his daughter and Bail was protecting her from the truth all this time? "Artoo, that holo of his wife? Can you show it to me?"

Artoo tweeted and beeped a negative as she turned her attention to Artoo and stared him down. "It was not a friendly request, or do you want to be left here on this rock?"

Artoo whistled in distress as he rocked back and forth on his rollers causing her to frown. He didn't want to show her. She stared at Artoo softening her expression. "Artoo, I know nothing of my parents. I need to know something. Please, I want to see her."

Artoo leaned back projecting the holo of Vader's wife. She knew this woman or what she remembered Bail told about her. Padme Amidala was her name, she died at the end of the Clone Wars. "We have the same eyes and hair and body build," Leia observed with a frown. She looked like her around the age of fourteen. "Can you show me what Vader looked like before everything happened?"

Artoo whistled again switching the holo to Vader, but what she saw was a man in love with his wife. He had his arm wrapped around Padme's shoulders in a loving embrace. She looked closer at the eye color noting that she saw those eyes on one other person. Luke Skywalker.

"Artoo, what did I tell you about showing those holo's to her?" Vader questioned as Leia turned her attention to him with a frown as Artoo quickly bleeped what sounded like an apology and turned the holo off.

Artoo rolled in his direction beeping and whistling excitedly. "You found the transmitter off the X-wing? Good, but don't change the subject," Vader warned as Leia leaned against the tree lowering herself to the ground.

"What was her name?" Leia demanded as Vader turned his attention to her. "What was her name?"

"Padme Amidala," Vader answered in a softer tone causing her to raise an eyebrow. "I loved her so much," she detected pain and regret in his tone. "She was the Queen of Naboo when I met her. She was a senator for the rest of her life. There was the possibility she was pregnant with twins. Twins run strong in her family. But I'm unsure of it at this point."

"Father told me about Padme," Leia said with pain in her voice as the truth slowly slammed into her. "He was telling me about my mother all this time but didn't tell me why he told me about Padme so much. I looked like the spitting image of her at age fourteen."

"Doesn't mean you're her daughter," Vader commented in a soothing tone. "They were good friends in the senate. For all you know it could be someone different that resembles her."

"I was adopted and he would not tell me who my parents were. He told me it was a closed adoption but I have no way to check the papers," Leia pointed out. "I sense it's the truth. Is Luke Skywalker your son? Is that the reason you're so interested in him? Are you my father?"

Luke sat down in front of Mon Mothma. She was in the senate during the Clone Wars. Maybe she knew his parents. He gave a weary smile as Mon Mothma sat down behind her desk after closing the door behind him. "I have some questions about a senator who died at the end of the clone wars."

"There was a lot of Senators during that time," Mon Mothma pointed out gently. "What was her name?"

"This may come as a shock but I have so many questions about her. Fress told me she was my mother. Her name was Padme Amidala," Luke watched Mon Mothma closely as she leaned back with shock clearly in her eyes. Understanding crossed her features as she looked at him. "Anakin Skywalker was my father. They had a secret relationship."

"It was forbidden for a Jedi to love, or that was to my understanding. But Anakin was different from the rest. He came from a loving home at an older age," Mon Mothma answered as she watched him closely then smiled. "Which would explain what Padme was doing with Anakin's lightsaber the one time we were held hostage by Cad Bane. It explains why they hung around each other so much. I thought they were just good friends."

"You did know her?" Luke questioned feeling some excitement build. "I would love to know everything about her. Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru always avoided my questions about my parents."

"I'm not surprised. Anakin was a strong Jedi and Padme was a well-known senator. Palpatine would've love to train you to take over the Empire I suspect," Mon explained with a frown. "Padme was a very elegant speaker. She could convince thousands of senators with just a few choice words. She was something else. I knew she was pregnant at the end. They never did the autopsy on her after she died. It was assumed the child died with her. I know one thing, both of your parents would be proud of you. You would've liked her Luke and she would've adored you."

Luke heard a drawer being opened as she reached in then produced a package. "This belonged to her. She asked me to keep it safe in case something happened to her," Mon Mothma spoke as she handed the package over to him. "I believe this belongs to you now."

Luke accepted the package and opened it and pulled out a ring. It must be the wedding ring he thought as he reached in again and pulled out a holo and account numbers. He turned on the holo as two young people smiled at him. The man on the right had his eyes. "Is that them?"

"Yes," Mon Mothma answered with a smile. "You have your fathers eyes. Your mother and I were friends in the senate."

Luke studied the holo and frowned. Leia and Padme looked similar in structure and Leia had her eyes. "Thank you. Is there anything else you have of hers like a live holo recording or?"

"She did record quite a few of her speeches. I believe those holos have been locked up since on Naboo by her surviving family," Mon answered as she watched him carefully. "I'm sure they'll allow you to retrieve them. The Imperials control Naboo these days."

"One day," Luke spoke up with a small smile. He left the part out about Anakin still being alive. Mon seemed to be unaware of his father's true condition and she had memories of him. He wanted to know what Anakin was like before he turned to the dark side.

For the next hour they chatted, he asked questions and Mon was more then happy to answer. He felt like he was getting to know who his parents were through the eyes of another. Anakin and Padme sounded like remarkable people during their time.

Fress Colias sat down in the pilots' chair of her and Jess's personal freighter. The Rogue. It was big enough to accommodate one X-wing and was armed to the teeth. She sighed as she leaned her head back. She knew letting Leia leave on her own was a mistake. She sighed as Jess wrapped his strong muscular arms around her causing her to smile up at him. "Hi."

Jess didn't answer as he leaned down and kissed her on the lips causing her to release a small contented sigh. He pulled back and gently ran his fingers through her hair. "I love you."

"I love you, Jess. I know it's forbidden," Fress started to speak as Jess placed his hands on her lips.

"Those rules don't apply anymore," Jess spoke with a small smile. "One day we can find Brice and tell him."

"Or he finds us by accident," Fress gave a sigh as she thought about their son. They let him go for adoption for his protection in an outer rim world where the Empire didn't exist. It felt right to leave them with the couple. They could not have children of their own. They promised they would love him like their own. They kept in contact with the family and they sent them holos of Brice growing up. He was in a happy family and that was the main thing. He looked happy in the holos. He was the spitting image of Jess with her eyes.

Fress turned on a holo of the recent holo they received. Brice was ten years old now. He had brown hair and blue eyes. "He has your eyes," Jess observed with a smile. "And my hair."

"I miss him," Fress spoke sadly as Jess held her tightly to him.

"Me too," Jess agreed softly. "Our lives would've put him in danger. It was for the best."

"I know," Fress whispered as she wiped away some tears. She prayed that Brice understood why he was given up. It was out of love and protection and it was the best thing for him at the time. Maybe things would change and they could finally meet him, if the family allowed it.

Fress turned off the holo and stood up. "I'm going to meditate. I'm hoping the will of the Force will lead me to where Leia and Vader are."

"I'll see you when ever you emerge," Jess said as he reached for her hands. "What ever happens, I promise not to bite Anakin's head off too much."

Fress gave a weary smile as she kissed Jess on the lips. "I'll hold you to that," Ahsoka was in her fighter and decided to give them space even though they offered her to stay with them on the Rogue. At least they would have two fighters shooting back. She walked to the living room where they had a meditation stool in the middle of the living area and sat down. It was time to see if she could pin point their location through a Force vision.

Ahsoka closed her eyes sinking herself into the Force hoping for a vision that would lead her to Leia and Vader. Images appeared as she saw a forest that looked familiar. But many forests could easily look the same. She walked through the forest and came into a clearing where she heard Leia ask if Vader was her father. That caused her to break her concentration and come out of the trance. She glanced at the chrono on her dash board noting it was three hours into the jump. How did Leia figure it out? Was it the future she saw or the present? "R7, pull up all the known planets around my home planet."

R7 beeped in compliance as she started to search through the holos. Was it possible she was going home? The coordinates Fress gave her was the system closest to her home planet. It was possible they crashed on a planet that was inhabited or it could be in a different system. So far none of the forests looked like what was in her vision. It was a long shot she reflected sadly. She had a lot more holos to check and some time to kill.
