Leia stared out the window on Jabba's sail barge. Her attention was drawn to the others standing on the prisoner barge. Anakin and Luke seemed to be engaged in a conversation with Han. At least Anakin hadn't killed Han yet, that was a good sign. She felt a tug on her chain from Jabba as she resisted going to him. He kissed her in front of Anakin and she was sure it was deliberate. It did get her father angry enough with the Hutt to Force choke him on the spot. She noticed some smugglers groaned as others grinned. She had a feeling they made some bets on how Vader would react.
Again Leia felt another tug on the leash as she gripped the window frame hard to keep her balance. She watched Han with a fond expression. She couldn't wait until he was holding her again in his arms leaning into his strong chest.
Again Jabba tugged hard on the chain, this time she couldn't resist the tug as she stumbled to his side as he licked her causing her to groan in disgust as he ran his stubby hands over her. "My father is going to kill you for treating me like one of your slave girls. He has a temper that you don't trifle with."
"Not if I push him into the sarlac pit first," Jabba spoke causing Leia to shudder. "I hope you said goodbye to your lover and father. You are mine now."
That's what you think, Leia thought to herself with distaste. You really have no clue what you're getting into, do you? She kept these thoughts to herself. She knew Anakin was a war veteran and his planning made her wonder about his status during the Clone Wars. He mentioned he was a General but she wondered how well he would've fared as an Admiral? Jabba had fallen right where Anakin wanted him and the Hutt had no clue he was being played.
Leia spotted Threepio moping in the back corner as Artoo served drinks. She tried her best to ignore the smell and reminded herself that this was only temporary. She noticed they had finally stopped moving and Luke was herded out onto a plank. Jabba sent Threepio out with instructions. She tensed up knowing the time to move was at hand.
Threepio walked out onto the deck of the sail barge and repeated what Jabba just told him. "The great Mighty Jabba hopes you will die horribly and wants to know if you have any last words before being fed to the sarlac?"
"Threepio, tell Jabba to get his hands off my daughter and I might let him live," Anakin responded in a threatening tone Leia recognized when he was hunting her a couple of times. It caused her to shiver thinking about it.
"Vader's getting angry. It is not wise to make the man angry," Han shouted out as Chewie howled in agreement.
"Last chance, Jabba. Free us or die," Luke spoke firmly and loudly so Jabba would hear him. Anakin was also watching the sail barge as Artoo made his way out onto the deck. If she remembered correctly, they had placed their lightsabers into a hidden compartment. Which came as a surprise to Luke who didn't know it was there. Anakin explained he owned the droid during the Clones Wars and before that the droid belonged to their mother. He modified the droid to carry a pair of hidden lightsabers inside during his missions on the front lines.
"Push him in," Jabba commanded as the crowd cheered. Luke gave Artoo the signal before he dove off the plank and turned himself around in midair. Leia couldn't see when he grabbed the plank. Before she knew it he had sprung back up. He caught a silver object in his hand as a green blade appeared and a red one joined the fray a few seconds later.
"Kill them," Jabba commanded as Anakin and Luke started to fight their way to the sail barge by deflecting blaster shots. Chaos broke out as guards scrambled to get outside. Lando and Chewie were pushing guards over board as a white lightsaber blade joined the fight. Ahsoka, she thought with a smile as she spotted the controls to the sail barge.
Jabba was too busy shouting out orders to keep an eye on her as she used the chain to smash the controls. The lights flickered and went out as screams were heard. She used the chain and swung it around Jabba's really thick neck and pulled as hard as she could.
Jabba started struggling and chocking as she heard a respirator behind her as the chain tightened further without warning. "Pull Leia," Anakin encouraged as he helped her pull hard.
Leia continued to pull harder than she ever pulled on anything in her life. She was tapping into strength she never knew existed as she grunted. "Some example you're setting," she teased Anakin as the Hutt's tail started to violently shake. "How long have you been waiting for this chance?"
"More than twenty years," Anakin answered honestly as the tail fell still and Jabba stopped struggling with a final gasp of air escaping out of him. He ignited his lightsaber and cut through the chain freeing Leia. "Let's get out of here."
Leia followed Anakin out of the sail barge as Artoo and Threepio left the barge and headed towards the deck where Rex was waiting with speeders. She made her way to the top where Luke and Ahsoka were busy with fighting off guards. Ahsoka climbed into the cannon as Anakin grabbed her arm.
"It's time to go," Anakin spoke. "I taught Ahsoka if all else fails to blow it up."
"What?" Leia questioned as she climbed into one of the speeders as Rex backed up one and Anakin backed up the other. "That's your influence?" Anakin didn't say a word as he pulled the speeder back away from the sail barge as he heard Lando shout out he had the droids. Leia watched as Ahsoka took a few shots at the sail barge as it burst into flames. "You're not training anyone else."
They pulled the speeders around as everyone else climbed in. Han wrapped his arms around Leia as she leaned into him. He bent down and whispered. "I love you, sweetheart. I'm not going anywhere."
"I love you, Han," Leia whispered back as they pulled away from the barge as a ball of flames shot up into the air. "I'm glad he hasn't scared you off yet."
Han rested his head on top of Leia's as she felt his heart beat against her body. It was soothing in a way. "Anakin's a softy underneath the black armor."
"Anakin?" Leia questioned in confusion as she craned her head to look up at Han. "Why are you addressing him with his first name?"
"Han and I came to an understanding while being herded onto the prisoner barge," Anakin answered as Leia turned her attention to Anakin. "We decided we're okay with addressing each other by our first names."
"Really?" Leia felt relieved hearing this as Han tightened his grip around her. "You two found time to talk?"
"We did," Han answered with a reassuring grin as Leia snuggled in closer. "By the way, you look stunning in that outfit."
Leia blushed as she remembered she was a little more than half naked and it was the reason Anakin had really gotten upset with the Hutt earlier. Han handed her a robe as she pulled it over her shoulders. "Thanks."
"When we get to Home One, I need to speak with the Alliance leaders," Anakin broke the silence as the Falcon, The Rogue and an X-wing came into view. "I need to tell them everything."
"Tell them what?" Leia questioned as Anakin fell silent causing her to raise an eyebrow. "Well Anakin? What exactly do you need to tell them that it's so urgent?"
"You won't like the answer," Anakin answered honestly as Leia waited for the answer. She heard a heavy sigh escape from the respirator. "They built a second Death Star. It's almost half finished. If the Alliance acts now, they can take it out before they bring the laser online."
Leia felt her heart attempt to jump into her throat as she remembered what happened with the first one. Alderaan's fate weighed heavily on her mind. A second Death Star? Palpatine really was out of his mind. Not another word was spoken until they pulled the speeders to a stop.
They all piled out of the speeders and hugged each other. They were alive and well. Han gave a weary smile as everyone hugged him. She had a feeling he wasn't used to anyone caring about him this much before.
"Thanks for coming after me," Han said as he looked at the group. "I really appreciate it," he glanced at Fress, Jess, and Brice as he raised an eyebrow. "Who is the kid?"
"Han, this is our son Brice," Fress introduced with a smile. "It's a bit of a story of how we got him back. That is going to have to wait. We have somewhere else to go before heading to Home One. Leia, it should give you time to prepare for Anakin's arrival without them getting startled."
"Where are we headed?" Anakin questioned as Fress glanced at Jess with a worried expression. "Master Yoda?"
Fress nodded with a frown. "He helped with Luke's training. I sense it should be all of us to go. He's not well. We should be beside him when…"
"Right," Anakin's head lowered in shame as Ahsoka patted Anakin reassuringly on the shoulder. "I highly doubt he wants to see me."
"Anakin, he's asked us to bring you," Fress explained with a frown. "He wants to talk with you directly. He already knows about Luke, Leia, and Padme."
Anakin gave a short nod as the others boarded the Rogue. Leia chewed on her lower lip noticing that he was reluctant to board. She suspected Anakin was not looking forward to talking with his old master. She glanced at the others. "Let's get out of here."
"Leia, wait," Anakin spoke as Leia looked at him with a frown. "You really never told Mon Mothma about me yet, have you? I know you said you had, but I sense anxiety coming from you."
"No, I'm dreading the conversation," Leia answered honestly as Anakin gave an understanding nod. He gave her a reassuring pat on her shoulder. "Fress is right. It'll give me time to prepare them for you coming aboard Home One." She gave Anakin a hug. "Thank you for helping me get Han back, I really appreciate it."
"You're welcome sweetheart, go spend some time with that smuggler of yours," Anakin returned the hug before breaking away. "Tell him welcome to the family."
"You approve?" Leia questioned with a small smile as Anakin nodded.
"Seeing you laying down beside Jabba as he kissed you is enough to give me nightmares. Han lying down beside you is a bit more tolerable," Anakin answered in a weary tone. "Just don't be in a rush to make me a grandfather yet."
"Don't worry, that won't happen for a while," Leia reassured Anakin. "Safe journey father,"
"Safe journey Leia. We'll meet you back at Home One," Anakin answered before he turned towards the Rogue and disappeared up the ramp.
The others boarded the Falcon as Leia worried about talking to Mon Mothma about Anakin changing sides. She hoped she could find the right words to keep him from being arrested and executed for his crimes.
