Padme Amidala stared at Anakin as she remembered how Obi-Wan described how their fight ended. She came close to dying after giving birth to their twins but Bail wouldn't have it as he forced Leia into her arms telling her that she needs to live for her children. Bail raised Leia, Owen and Beru raised Luke. It was a painful decision to give them up. She felt it was for the best giving Vader less of a chance to discover their existence. She watched his reaction and knew he was feeling extremely guilty for everything he's done. He couldn't even look her in the eyes, which told her a lot without needing to see his facial expression. She stepped forward taking his hands into hers. "Look at me, Anakin."

Anakin turned his attention to her as the respirator sounded loud in the small space as he shook his head. "You can't be alive. I watched the funeral procession playback. This has to be a hallucination. I assumed Luke and Leia died until Luke's name surfaced almost three years ago."

"You know about Leia?" Padme questioned feeling a little surprised as Anakin nodded. "How and when?"

"I've had suspicions for the past two years but we confirmed it through a parental test a month ago," Anakin explained as Padme felt worried as he raised a hand and gently caressed her jaw the way she liked it. "We've been bonding since."

"I missed you, Ani," Padme whispered as she leaned into his armor as he wrapped his arms around her. "I'm sorry for the deception. I felt it was best. I didn't want Vader to find Luke and Leia."

"I would've done the same thing," Anakin whispered as she heard his tone break as if he wanted to cry. "I missed you so much and had to live with the guilt of killing you. Please tell me this isn't a vision. Luke told me the cave can produce real life hallucinations."

"It's not a vision or a hallucination," Padme reassured Anakin. "I was able to hide my Force presence with a pendant that anti-Force users use. It prevents a Force user from brushing their presence against mine, it hides my presence in the Force," she explained as she handed the pendant over. "I want to see Luke and Leia. It's been too long already."

"Luke's planet side, but Leia is on Home One," Anakin explained as Padme felt excitement surge through her. She was going to see her baby boy soon. "Please forgive me. I was young and naïve for placing my trust with Palpatine when I should've trusted you instead. I broke my marriage vows about loving and protecting you by hurting you and breaking your heart."

"I already have, Anakin. A long time ago," Padme answered as she looked up at the mask that separated them from kissing. "He manipulated me too, remember?" Obi-Wan mentioned that if Anakin ever came to his right mind, there was a clone growing to transfer his memories into if he ever chose too. It would mean he would be younger than her but she would have her Ani back. A much wiser and wearier man then he was during his younger years.

The scene around them changed as they found themselves in a small lab. Anakin's old body was lying down on a table as Fress and Ahsoka leaned over him. A tube with liquid was beginning to drain as a medic helped someone out of the tube. Was it possible Anakin will agree to the body change? The scene changed again as Luke and Anakin faced off against Palpatine.

This time, Anakin was no longer in the body armor as Palpatine leaped forward with a lightsaber in his hand aiming for Anakin's head.

Padme closed her eyes not being to watch anymore as she opened her eyes to Luke and Anakin walking down a ramp together, she noticed Luke was limping badly. She knew Luke's skills were still in need of developing. She shook her head as the images cleared to Anakin and Padme renewing their vows?

The images stopped as Padme looked up at Anakin noting he was very still and in silent. "Ani?"

"When where they going to tell me about the clone?" Anakin questioned as he looked down at Padme. "Is it possible?"

"Obi-Wan started growing one shortly after your accident. We had a medic grow one normally in case you returned to the light side and have the option of moving your memories over," Padme explained. "You had to pass a mind test first. Only Obi-Wan and I know about the clone. It's up to you."

Anakin had fallen silent as Padme watched him with concern. It made it difficult to know what he was thinking with the mask in place. "He did that for me?" He sounded like a lost child asking that question. "I don't deserve it. Not after everything I did."

"Anakin, it was his way of forgiving you." Padme explained. "Do you feel like a prisoner in that armor?"

"It's where I belong after everything I've done," Anakin answered as Padme took his hands into hers.

"Just give it some thought," Padme encouraged gently. "Please? Obi-Wan went to a lot of trouble to set it up for you."

"Are you pulling out the guilt card on me?" Anakin teased causing her to smile. "I'll think about it," he promised as he glanced towards the cave. "Come on, Yoda is waiting outside the cave."

Padme gave a weary smile as they headed towards the entrance. As they stepped outside the cave Yoda looked up and gave a mischief grin. "Master Yoda, it's good to see you again."

"Good to see you again it is, Senator Amidala," Yoda returned as Anakin walked towards the master and picked up his weapon placing it on his belt. He knelt down on the ground and helped Yoda climb up on his back. "Gone so long, doing the bad thing have we?"

"I don't see how that is your business," Anakin shot back as he stood up to his full height. "More like catching up," which caused the little master to chuckle then cough.

Padme bit on her lower lip as Yoda held onto Anakin tightly. "Mush you will."

"Don't push your luck," Anakin shot back as Yoda tapped him with his gimmer stick.

"Gone longer then young Skywalker was," Yoda pointed out. "Passed you did. One last thing we must discuss when we get back."

"And what's that?" Anakin questioned as Yoda went into a deep coughing fit causing Padme to feel concerned.

"Pass on what you have learned," Yoda requested as they walked back to the hut. "My time draws near. Eternal rest earned it I have. New Grandmaster you will be."

"I can't master, you can't die, I wouldn't know where to start," Anakin argued as they continued their trek through the forest. "I'm not worthy of such a title."

"Know the signs of dabbling in the dark side you should. Luminous beings are we, Anakin. Not this crud matter. Fine you will be," Yoda pointed out. "Earned the heart of a true Jedi Master you have. Hardened into one it has. Qualified you are. One final test remains. Face Palpatine you and Luke must."

"Great it's a duel test, at least I can attempt to keep Luke safe from the manipulator," Anakin muttered under his breath.

Not another word was uttered as they continued to head back to the little hut. Padme walked up beside Anakin and took his hand into hers. It looked like the nightmare was almost over. She planned to help Leia argue Anakin's case when they got back to Home One.

Anakin sat off to the side as Padme hugged Luke closely to her causing him to smile. At least Luke is able to meet Padme after all this time. Was it true about getting out of this armor once and for all? That meant trusting the others to properly transfer his memories through the Force to the clone. He was really considering it, that's if they decided not to execute him for his crimes. Fress walked Brice up to Padme and introduced him. Padme smiled excitedly as she brought the young boy into her arms.

"Troubled are you, Anakin?" Yoda spoke as he sat down beside Anakin and watched him closely.

Anakin looked down at the small master and nodded. "Is it true about the clone?"

"True it is," Yoda answered with a frown. "Felt guilty Obi-Wan did."

"He shouldn't feel guilty. I had it coming," Anakin answered as he shook his head. I was ready to kill him on Mustafar and then I killed him on the Death Star. "I was young and naive and listened to the wrong voice. Palpatine told me what I wanted to hear, not what I needed to hear."

"Wise you have become," Yoda pointed out with a small smile. "Great Grandmaster you will make. Foreseen it I have," he spoke as Anakin took a deep breath and slowly released it. Did that mean he would be given a second chance in life? "That boy, Jedi Master he will make. Jess's temperament he has. Easy to train he will be."

Anakin smiled and nodded. He noticed that as well. He didn't have Fress's fiery temper but seemed mellower like Jess was. "I'm sure Jess would like to train him himself."

"Not meant to train him his parents are," Yoda pointed out as he eyed Anakin with a raised brow. "Train him you will or turn to the dark side he will."

Anakin felt confusion as he stared at Yoda. Perhaps Brice had more of Fress's temperament in him then he gave the boy credit for. "Are you sure? I thought you said he would be easy to train?"

"Proper guidance you can give him," Yoda spoke causing Anakin to frown. "Sense something dark underlying in him I do. Curve that darkness you can. Know this well you do."

"He was betrayed into slavery like my mother was. I understand his frustration and anger very well," Anakin said with a frown as Yoda tapped him on the shoulder with his gimmer stick. "Is this the will of the Force?"

"Will of the Force it is," Yoda agreed. "Spoken to Fress and Jess I already have. Agreed they have."

Looks like Anakin had a padawan learner to train. He glanced at Yoda and sighed. "I want out of the armor."

"Make the arrangements Padme can," Yoda answered with a frown. "Second chance in life you are given."

Fress approached Anakin with a small smile as he watched her with a frown. "With your blessing, Fress, I agree to be Brice's master."

"Thank you, Anakin," Fress gestured Brice over with a grin as she placed her hands onto Brice's shoulders. "Brice, Anakin has agreed to be your master."

"Really? I'm going to be your padawan learner?" Brice questioned excitedly as Anakin nodded.

"I have agreed to be your master," Anakin answered as Brice hugged him. He suspected training Brice was going to allow him to heal quicker. He felt it was the right decision to make. "We'll start the training once everything settles down on Home One," Fress nodded in agreement as Anakin sensed he would be arrested anyways. Most likely out of precaution.

Later that night everyone gathered around the small bed they had moved out of Yoda's hut. Not everyone could fit inside the small hut so he agreed to be outside. Padme held onto Yoda's hand as the others wiped tears away. Yoda's health took a turn for the worst shortly after he finished training Fress and Ahsoka about transferring memories through the Force. Apparently that was the last thing he needed to do before the Force took him.

Anakin reached for Padme's hand as she grasped his into hers. Yoda was over nine hundred and lived a long life. His time had finally come. "Forgive me master?"

"Forgiven you I have, a long time ago," Yoda answered as he looked at Anakin. He looked really tired. "Eternal sleep, earned it I have."

"We'll miss you, Master," Fress spoke as Jess held her in his arms. "You've been there for all of us and yet…"

"Here you are, by my side in my final moments, more than what I could have asked for," Yoda muttered as his rolled to the side. "I love you all."

Luke didn't speak a word. Even though his training wasn't complete, he had quite a few masters left willing to help him through the rest of it. Luke was well onto his way to being a Jedi Knight. Anakin grasped Yoda's hand. Yoda had always been there when they needed him in his younger years. And Luke had a chance to get to know Yoda, which made him happy.

Yoda closed his eyes as his body disappeared. Silence descended over the group as he brought Padme in close to him and held her as she cried on his shoulder. No matter how old someone was, it was always hard to see them go. He closed his eyes as he felt sadness over take him. Yoda was like a grandfather to them all and will be missed.

Anakin held onto Padme for most of the ride back until she decided to take a nap. Rex sat down beside him as he turned his attention to the Clone. "Did you get a chance to talk to him?"

"Yeah I did," Rex answered sadly. "He was good to us, even gave us lessons on how we were all different in the Force even though we shared the same face. He was kind, understanding and generous."

"That he was," Anakin agreed as they shared a moment of silence. "I will most likely be arrested as soon as I step foot on Home One. I can sense that much."

"I know Padme and Leia will work hard to get you free," Rex pointed out with a small smile. "Just be careful you don't lose the Executor the same way you lost the Defender."

"What is that supposed to mean?" Anakin questioned with a raised brow. "Piett is in charge of the Executor."

"So was the Admiral. You took the ship into battle and it sustained heavy damages," Rex pointed out with a small grin. "Then rammed it into the planet blockade."

"Based on Ahsoka's idea," Anakin pointed out as Ahsoka walked in and made a face.

"It was still your idea to ram the Defender into the planet blockade, don't drag me into that decision," Ahsoka snipped as she sat down beside Rex.

"How are you feeling?" Rex questioned in concern. Yoda's death had really hit Ahsoka hard. She nearly broke down for over an hour as Rex held her in his arms.

"Better, thanks," Ahsoka answered in a saddened tone. "It's hard to believe he's gone."

"Considering his age, he lived a good life," Anakin reminded Ahsoka as she nodded in agreement. "It's hard but he's at peace now."

"He is," Ahsoka agreed sounding sad as Rex wrapped an arm around her shoulders as she leaned into him. "That doesn't mean I won't miss him."

"We're all going to miss him," Rex whispered in her ear. "You still have us."

"I know," Ahsoka agreed as Jess walked out of the bedroom and sat down at the table. "How is Fress feeling?"

"Better I think," Jess answered in a worried tone. "A lot of stress isn't good for her delicate condition. I'm worried she might have a miscarriage so I talked her into getting some sleep."

"That's a good idea," Ahsoka spoke in a worried tone. "The best thing we can do is keep her calm as possible. And sleep should help her body reset."

Anakin watched Jess with concern. The young man was showing stress and was completely worried about Fress. "As soon as we get to Home One, you should have her report to the med ward and have them check her over."

Jess nodded in agreement as Luke entered the room and sat down beside Anakin as he wrapped an arm around his son. He loved his children and there was no way Palpatine could talk him back to his side again. Palpatine was a walking dead man as far as he was concerned.
