Toadstool89's Truth or Dare Show!

Chapter 22: Kinopo-chan
Preliminary note: Sorry, my Japanese sucks (I know like only four words), so if I get something totally wrong (or I spell something wrong or whatever), I'm sorry. Anyway, enjoy the chapter/episode!
Toad Town Studios, Toadstool Awesome Office, 4:07 PM
"Excuse me, Orange," said Toadstool. "Can I use the computer? I need to check my inbox."
"Yeah, sure." Orange Toadette got out of the seat to do something else.
Toadstool logged in to her email account. "Dang, I got alotta mail," she muttered. She began sorting through the junk and the random advertisements (doesn't that get on your nerves?). Then one email in particular caught her eye.
"Hey, guys!" she called out.
"Yeah?" asked Darrel Sharman.
"What's up?" asked Purple Yoshi.
"Awesome news! My cousin's coming over to visit!" Toadstool exclaimed.
"Which one?" asked Darrel. "You have a lot of them."
"My cousin from Japan: Shoji Kinopo!" Toadstool replied. "She likes to be called Kinopo-chan." (Quick note: In Japan, last names are given before first names.)
"That's cool," said Purple. "Hey, is she a humanoid Mushroom person like you?"
"Yeah," said Toadstool. "Her cap is lavender, and she dresses like an anime girl all the time. Like…a Pokémon anime girl."
"Anything else we need to know about her?" asked Orange.
"Nothing in particular," said Toadstool. "Just that she'll probably be popping out of that warp pipe any minute now."
"Konichiwa, Toadstool-chan!" exclaimed a happy voice three seconds later. (Konichiwa, if I spelled that right, means 'hello' in Japanese)
Toadstool turned around. "Kinopo-chan!" She bowed to her cousin. Kinopo returned the bow. (They still do that…don't they?)
"I'm assuming that's your cousin?" said/asked Darrel.
"Yep. Everyone meet Kinopo-chan." Toadstool then turned to Kinopo. "Kinopo-chan, these are my friends…"
"Darrel-kun, Purple-kun, and Orange-chan," Kinopo finished. "Yes, I know. You told me about them in your last email." (Kun means boy and chan means girl)
"Oh, yeah. So…How's everything in Japan?" asked Toadstool.
"Pretty good," Kinopo replied. "I am having great success there with my show."
"Your cousin has a show?" asked Darrel.
"I do, Darrel-kun," said Kinopo. "It's called 'Kinopo81's Cool Game Show!' It's a YouTube show. I'm on my fourth season, you know." (I just made that up. Okay this is the last one)
"Dang, girl…four seasons?" Toadstool asked incredulously. "I feel like I've barely even started with my first!"
"I have seen some episodes of your show, cousin," said Kinopo. "I think it's super cool and funny!"
"Thank you." Toadstool blushed.
"Speaking of shows, we gotta roll!" exclaimed Darrel.
Toadstool checked her watch. "OMG, you're right!" She turned to her cousin. "Kinopo-chan, would you be willing to be the special guest on today's episode? I know you're just visiting and all, but…"
Kinopo bowed. "Toadstool-chan, I'd be honored."
Darrel leaned towards Toadstool. "Is your cousin always this formal?" he whispered in her ear.
Toadstool shrugged. She, Darrel, Purple, and Kinopo exited the Office.
Toad Town Studios, Main Stage, 4:21 PM
Toadstool glanced at the corridor. Kinopo gave a thumb up.
"And…We're go!" said Darrel.
Toadstool smiled. "Hello, and welcome to Toadstool89's Truth or Dare Show! I'm Toadstool Eighty Nine, but you can call me Toadstool. Today we have a very special guest. She's from Japan and she's a great friend of mine. Please welcome…Shoji Kinopo!"
Kinopo bowed toward the camera. She sat in the guest chair next to Toadstool.
"Good to have you on the show," said Toadstool.
"Great to be here, cousin," Kinopo replied.
"Cousin?" one of the contestants echoed.
"Yeah…cousin," Toadstool confirmed. "Anyway, let's get started. Kinopo-chan, you pick the first one since you're the guest." Toadstool handed Kinopo her tablet.
Kinopo looked at it for a bit. "Um…Okay, we have a dare from sonichewerehog for…Bowser-kun!"
Bowser just grumbled.
"Sonic dares you to wear a bonnet until chapter 40."
A pink bonnet appeared above Bowser and floated down gently onto his head. Bowser roared in frustration and tried to pull it off, but he couldn't.
"Why won't this thing come off?!" Bowser hollered.
"I guess it's magically stuck to your head until chapter 40," Toadstool replied with a grin.
Bowser grumbled.
'On to the next one." Toadstool checked her tablet. "We have a dare from dragon19kyoshi for…Cream-chan! Oh great, now she's got me doing it…"
"I'm ready," said Cream cheerfully.
"Dragon dares you to find a hidden bomb before the end of the chapter."
"A hidden bomb?!" Cream exclaimed in surprise. She composed herself and began searching."
"Your turn," said Toadstool.
Kinopo nodded. "Now, we have a dare from randombutterjelo for…Espio-kun!"
Espio shrugged.
"Random dares you to spend a chapter in the Naruto world."
As soon as Kinopo finished her sentence, Espio was magically transported to the Naruto world (where he will spend the rest of this chapter).
"Your turn," said Kinopo.
Toadstool checked her tablet again. "Okay, next up is a dare from Lyro the Hedgehog for…everybody!"
Exclamation marks appeared over everyone's heads as they were all suddenly tied to the wall of the Main Stage.
"Everyone has ten seconds to use their special abilities to break the rope. If you don't succeed, you'll al be chucked into a forest full of Piranha Plants!" Toadstool took out a stopwatch. "Ready…set…go!"
Everyone struggled against the rope. Working together, they managed to break free with 0.5 seconds to spare.
"Wow, talk about close calls!" said Toadstool. Fake applause rippled through the stage.
"Well, that was fun," Sonic commented.
"Whatever. Kinopo-chan?" Toadstool turned to her cousin.
Kinopo nodded. "Now we have a truth from the39cluesfreak156 for…Amy-chan!"
"Shoot," said Amy.
"Clue asks…If you had to date anyone in this room, but not Sonic, who would it be?"
Amy hesitated before answering. "Uh…Shadow. Because he reminds me so much of Sonic!" she finished giddily.
Everyone who really knew Amy sweat dropped in annoyance.
"Now we have a truth from dragon19kyohi for…Rouge!" said Toadstool.
Rouge shrugged.
"Dragon asks…If you could have one wish, what would it be?"
"I'd wish for a million diamonds," said Rouge.
Kinopo's turn. "And now we have another truth from dragon19kyoshi for…Cream-chan!"
"Okay," said Cream.
"Dragon asks…Do you ever get in love with Sonic?"
Cream started. "No, of course not! He's nice and all, but we're so far apart in age…"
Toadstool nodded. "And now for…Secret Dare!"
As soon as she finished that sentence, Luigi got blasted in the face by a Bob-omb.
"What the…!" Luigi exclaimed once he recovered from initial shock.
"Okay, so a Secret Dare is a dare I don't say out loud until it happens," Toadstool explained. "That was a dare from dragon19kyoshi…Get blasted by a special timed Bob-omb at the end of the episode! And on that note, see you next time on…"
"Toadstool89's Truth or Dare Show!" Kinopo said in Japanese.
Disclaimer: Most of what I know about Japanese language/culture comes from reading the Young Samurai books, and reading manga books in the right-to-left layout (which I couldn't read at first because it hurted my eyes, but now I'm totally into it…specifically Pokémon, Naruto, and Shugo Chara. I've also seen an anime movie, Spirited Away, which is like the best movie ever by the way). So anyway…here's the roster, just like always!
Peach
Bowser
Mario
Luigi
Toad
Toadette
Rosalina
Shy Guy
Daisy
Waluigi
Sonic
Amy
Tails
Silver
Shadow
Blaze
Rouge
Knuckles
Espio
Cream
Cheese
Tigress
Viper
Leafpool
Squirrelflight
Jayfeather
Bloom
Stella
Flora
I don't own Mario, Sonic, Kung-Fu Panda, Warriors, or Winx Club.
Oh, and Espio came back from the Naruto world with some burn scars (thanks to Sasuke), but Leafpool gave him a leaf ointment, so he'll be fine. And Cream found the bomb, and that's why there wasn't a second explosion.
Peace!
