The Tour

S

Without giving him time to protest, I took Nara by the arm, slammed his front door shut and dragged him towards the nearest bus stop.

"Oi, Satsuki, where are we going?" he commented lazily as he scratched his ear. Turning around, I gave him the dirtiest look I could muster, "my name is Sasuke, and if you must know Nara, we're going to school."

"You do know it's a Sunday, right?"

"You do know you should shut up, right?"

Nara snorted as he trudged down the bus and flopped down onto a seat, "so I'm going to guess Ino put you up to this."

Not bothering to sit, I turned away from where I was looking out of the window and gave him a curious look, "how did you know?"

Shrugging, he pulled two lollipops from his pocket and handed one to me, "it wasn't that hard to figure out, she hates that I'm too lazy for school and has already tried intervening multiple times. Figuring she couldn't do it herself she turned to the only person she knew could, assuming you fit that criteria you must've pulled some amazing stunt that involved getting a student to come back to school before and the only possible person I could think of was that dude, Gaara."

Internally, my jaw dropped, Uchiha's can never be less than perfect, "that was not, not hard."

"And that was not good English." He countered quickly as he sucked contently on his lollipop. Sneering at him as I slid my own into my pocket, I began to realise why someone like him would skip school in the first place, it was too boring, not stimulating enough for his brain.

Looking out of the window I grabbed his arm and pulled him off of the bus, "so, we're at school, what's the plan now Satsuke."

I clenched my jaw and took a deep breath in, it's ok Sasuke, it's just a joke Sasuke, he's just trying to wind you up Sasu-

"Are you even listening Sasume?"

"SAS-UKE," I grabbed him by the shoulders and shook him roughly, "my name is Sas-UKE."

Rolling his eyes, Nara brushed off my hands and walked past me dropping his half eaten lollipop in my pocket on the way. My eye twitched furiously as I tried not to rip that stupid ponytail off of his head and wring that skinny little neck of his until he properly called my name.

"Are you coming, Satsuma?"

"That's a fruit! Now you're not even trying!"

N

"Since Sasuke's not in, I really should go-"

"Nonsense! Won't you stay and have some tea with me Naruto-kun?"

I felt chills run down my spine as Itachi batted his eyes at me sweetly, "I just don't want to overstay my welcome or upset Sasuke."

"Why would you upset Sasuke? You're here to hang out with me cause we're friends right?" Fear ran though my body, despite his sweet tone, the promise of pain shone bright in Itachi's eyes.

I nodded my head frantically, "of course we're friends, best friends ha-ha-ha."

Itachi's smile was sinister, "good, and as best friends we should tell each other everything yes?"

I nodded once more, scared that if I opened my mouth I would pee.

"Then it's time to share secrets!" He clapped his hands together joyously but I knew that sound was the last thing I would ever hear.

"You go first, have you or would you do anything that harms my cute baby brother?"

Mentions of Sasuke made me think of the day before, he looked so distraught, so hurt, "yes I did, but it's something I regret deeply and have come here today to apologise for."

The pitch black eyes, that were nowhere near as beautiful as Sasuke's, narrowed, "follow up question, was the reason for his hurt mainly caused by his own fuckup?"

I considered that for a second, did I tell his brother the truth, or lie and possibly live to see another day. I took a deep breath, "yes."

"Good! Then you can go home." Itachi said cheerily as he stood from where he was seated on the couch.

"What? But I haven't seen Sasuke yet; do you know when he'll be back?"

The Uchiha looked back at me and sighed, "listen Naruto, let me tell you a little secret of my own, I've never seen Sasuke look happier than these past two weeks he's spent with you. And I've known him his whole life, even as a child he was a miserable little shit."

I snickered softly and Itachi cracked a smile, "you're good for him, no matter how much he denies it or tries to fight it he knows it and eventually he'll come to terms with it, and, I'm asking as someone who wants to see him actually do something with that pathetic life of his, if you love him and want to help him, you'll let him come to you."

Smiling I scratched that back of my head bashfully, "I thought of that but realised Sasuke's a stubborn person and by the time he realises I'll probably have died of old age, so I decided it would just be easier to forgive him."

"But that's the thing Naruto," Itachi crouched down in front of where I sat on the couch, "if you're always forgiving him when is he going to learn? He's going to keep denying that you're in a relationship and stringing you along and eventually you'll die from a broken heart."

There was a moment of silence as we store at each other and his words registered in my mind, "how do you know so much about our relationship?" I asked suspiciously. With a roll of his eyes and a smirk on his lips he pulled me off of the couch and ushered me towards the door, "get out, you're ruining my Sasuke free Sunday."

Before he could slam the door in my face I put my hand up to stop it, "wait!"

"What?" He sighed.

"Could you make me lunch again, I'm like so hungry."

"Goodbye Naruto." The door slammed on my nose and a tinkling laugh travelled through the wood.

Pinching my probably bleeding nose, I sighed, "those brothers will be the death of me."

"You bet we will."

S

"So what was the purpose of this completely useless tour of the school considering I've been going here for years now?"

I rolled my eyes at his annoying and rude question, he reminded me too much of me, "I'm trying to show you the appeal of coming to school; you're missing all of the fun experiences." I said in a fake cheery voice.

Nara snorted, he seemed to do that a lot, "so far all you've shown me are classrooms that you know for sure are empty and then continued to explain your theories to me on why you think there are so many empty classrooms and how there's a conspiracy going on which may or may not have something to do with your creepy brother."

I rolled my eyes and pushed through the door of the canteen, "and yet you quietly listened to everything I said." I walked past all the tables and sat at the one Naruto and his friends usually sat with a sigh.

Nara followed slowly before slumping down in the seat next to me and resting his head on the table, "so, what's so special about this place?"

"Nothing, it's just the canteen; you need your daily nutrients you know?" I flicked crumbs off the table mindlessly.

With a snort, Nara turned so he made eye contact with me, amusement dripped from his voice, "no Saseme, this table, you deliberately walked past every table and sat at this one."

I flicked his nose and smirked at his flinch, "You obviously know my name now, how else would you have known to have made that pun." He grabbed my arm and tugged so that I would rest my head also.

"I'm serious Sasuke, I want to know, why here?" For the first time today, it seemed like Shikamaru was honestly interested about something. I didn't know whether it was me or the table but was secretly happy I was able to get a reaction from him.

"This is where my frien- ex-friends used to sit. They were all so annoying and loud, always talking over each other, spitting across the table with obnoxious loud laughter, they were a bunch of barbarians." Every word that left my mouth was a blatant lie and Shikamaru could easily tell, I loved how excitable they were, the fun-filled laughs, I felt like we were in a completely different world when their noise drowned out the other noises.

Shikamaru stared at me, with his stupid ponytail and his stupid dead fish eyes and his horrible dress sense and his obnoxious smirk, "what're you smirking about?"

He shook his head, "oh nothing. So why are they ex-friends now?" he sat up and instead leant his elbow on the table and his head rested in his palm.

Sitting up also, I stretched out the kinks in my back from leaning so far forward. "I fucked up, nothing more nothing less."

With a sigh the lazy teen stood up, "I'm going to have to help you fix it aren't I?"

"No one asked you to do anything," I said innocently as a smirk grew on my face in understanding.

"You're so troublesome Uchiha."

"I could say the same about you Naro." I held in my laugh as he pursed his lips in disgust, "I now see why you'd find that annoying."

For the first time in what seemed like ages, I smiled happily, "you know, I'm actually beginning to think it's funny."

Nara snickered as we made our out of the school by climbing over the back fence and back onto the main road, "so where to now?"

With a devious smirk I swung my arm around the other boy's shoulders, "tell me, what do you know about hacking school files?"

My question was answered not with words but a similar smirk shot right back at me, oh this was going to be good.
