Guys, it has been so long since I updated this. Here is the next chapter.

Jade got what she thought was just a cold. It had started with a cough one day. After about a week of coughing, Jade woke up feeling absolutely terrible. Her chest was tight and she had the worst case of chills ever. She could not stop coughing as she reached for her phone to text Beck.

To Beck: I'm sick. Not going to school today.

To Jade: Aww, want me bring you to the RV?

To Beck: Please.

To Jade: Be there in ten.

Jade put the phone down as she continued to cough. She grabbed a tissue as she felt mucus coming up. She spit it into the tissue before leaning back against her pillows. She took a breath, feeling like she wasn't getting any air in her lungs.

"Babe," she heard Beck call he came in.

She didn't have the energy to yell so she just let him come up to her room.

"Hey," he said, smiling at her with her goody smile.

"Hey," she rasped out, sending herself into another painful coughing fit. He rubbed her back until the coughing stopped.

"Ready to go?" he asked, putting a hand on her forehead and realizing she was burning up.

She nodded, sitting up. He helped her put on a pair of sweat pants before guiding her to the car, having to stop at the bottom of the stairs as she had another coughing attack. He drove to his place, carrying her sleeping body into the RV. He put a bottle of juice next to the bed for when she woke up.

Normally, he would stay with her, but he had three tests that he could not miss. He went into the house before he left for school.

"You're going to be late," his mom said, looking at the time, "You won't have time to get Jade if you don't leave right now."

"She's sleeping in the RV," he said, sitting down next to his mom for a minute, "That's why I came in here. She's really sick right now. I was wondering if you could check on her before you left for work today?"

"Of course," his mom said as Beck got up, "What's wrong with her?"

"She has a really bad cough," Beck said, "And a fever."

"Alright," Beck's mom said as her son headed out the door, "Have a good day."

Beck nodded, heading off to school. The day seemed to drag forever as days without Jade usually did. When he got home after school, Jade was still sleeping in his bed. However, the apple juice was about half gone so he knew she had been up at least once. He was about to start homework when Jade sat up, coughing harshly. The attack lasted over five minutes.

"That sounds painful," Beck said, handing her a tissue as she leaned back against the pillows.

"No," she said, "It feels so great to not be able to breath."

He shook his head, smiling at her a little until the coughing started again.

Once that attack was over, she could barely hold herself up.

"Do you want me to take you to the doctor?" he asked, rubbing her back as she leaned on him.

She shook her head. "It's just a cough," she said, closing her eyes.

He wasn't going to argue with her yet about that. She fell asleep on him and he decided to just hold her for a while. However, she couldn't sleep for more than twenty minutes without waking up coughing. He tried everything to help her, offering soup, cough drops, and vapor rub. Nothing helped much.

As they tried to sleep that night, Jade still couldn't without coughing hard. Around three in the morning, she had a coughing attack that lasted over twenty minutes, leaving her exhausted.

However, the thing that scared Beck more than the exhaustion was the fact that her lips started turning blue as she coughed.

"That's it," he said when she finished coughing, "We are going to the hospital."

Jade couldn't argue with him because it felt like her lungs were filling with mucus and she couldn't breathe. He helped her into the truck, driving straight to the emergency room.

When they got there, Jade started another coughing fit. As soon as the nurse heard it, she quickly guided Jade to an exam room, putting an oxygen monitor on her.

"I'm going to put you on some oxygen," the nurse said, acting quickly, "You're oxygen level is falling to around 80 which is dangerous."

Jade was given a full oxygen mask, feeling a little better as she got more oxygen into her body.

"So what is going on?" the nurse asked once Jade stabilized some.

Jade and Beck explained and the nurse said she would return soon with a doctor.

Two hours later, Jade had a diagnosis of severe bacterial pneumonia. She was given a prescription for antibiotics and three different inhalers.

However, because she was struggling to keep her oxygen levels up on her own, she was admitted to the hospital for monitoring. Beck called his mom and explained, getting her to call both of them out of school. Jade ended up having to be on oxygen all day in order to help her get better.

By that evening, however, she was doing better and got to leave.

"I'm so tired," she said as he helped her back into the RV.

"I know," Beck said, "do your inhalers then we can sleep."

She nodded, breathing in the dosages of her medication before they both climbed into bed, sleeping well for the first time in days.

Thanks so much for hanging in there with me. I hope you liked this chapter. I have half of the next chapter done so hopefully, I will get it up soon.
