So, this chapter was a little more done than I though so I finished it up and decided to publish it. So, here is the next chapter.

Somehow, neither one of them had the chicken pox when they were little and had both failed to get the required booster shots.

They never even thought about it until one day when Jade woke up with a fever and sore throat. She figured it was just the bug that had been being passed around and insisted that Beck go to school because she was just going to sleep all day.

He agreed on the condition that she stay at the RV to which she had no argument. When he got home, she was sleeping and still running a fever.

He woke her up to give her some dinner, which she didn't really eat, and some Advil to help with the fever and the headache she started complaining of.

Beck snuck some himself because he was starting to feel feverish too. Jade had also developed a cough over the course of the day.

"Come here," Beck said, climbing into bed with her and pulling her closer to him.

He kissed her warm forehead, rubbing her back.

"I don't feel well," she said, snuggling close to him, "Everything hurts."

"That's probably the fever," Beck said, "You should start feeling better once the Advil kicks in. Maybe you should go to the doctor tomorrow."

"It's just that bug that everyone at school has had," Jade said, "I'll be fine."

Beck nodded, not satisfied with her answer, but knowing how stubborn she was.

They both went to sleep early that night and when they woke up, Beck rolled to look at his alarm clock, which read 8:50.

"Shoot," he said, sitting up, panicked about being late before he realized his head hurt and so did his throat.

He sighed and leaned back in bed, glancing over at Jade who was still sleeping. It was then that he noticed tiny red dots on her face and the exposed part of her arms and chest.

"Jade," he said, rubbing her shoulder, "Wake up."

"What?" she snapped, rolling toward him, sitting up and scratching her arm subconsciously.

"Have you ever had chicken pox?" he asked, pulling her hand away from her scratching.

"No," she said, "Why do you…"

It was then she looked down at her arm and saw the spots on her body.

"No," she said, looking at her arms and body, "No, no, no, no, no."

She stopped as she looked up at Beck.

"Have you ever had chicken pox?" Jade asked her boyfriend, noticing he had very similar looking marks on his body.

"I don't think so," Beck said, looking down at his arms, "Or at least I didn't until now."

They both groaned, leaning back on the pillows.

"I'll text my mom to see if she can help us," Beck said, scratching his arm.

Two hours later, they were both covered in calamine lotion and doped up on Advil. Jade could barely swallow because she had pox in her mouth and throat. Mrs. Oliver got her to drink a fruit smoothie that didn't aggravate her throat too much. Beck had a few pox in his mouth but his were mostly on his torso, arms, face, and legs. They both fell asleep after eating and getting medicine.

Three days later, Beck had stopped getting new pox and was feeling because his fever had dropped quite a bit.

Jade, on the other hand, still had new blisters forming and a fever that would not go down without medicine.

"You have to stop itching babe," Beck said, pulling her hand away from her arm.

"But I like scars," she argued, trying to get her hand back.

"But you could get an infection," Beck said, holding tightly to her hand, "Now, stop or you are going to have to wear the mitts."

"No," Jade said, tiredly as tears started to form in her eyes, "Can't I just itch a little. I feel so bad."

"I know," he said, taking both her hands in one of his, laying her down so her back was against his chest.

He took his free hand, rubbing her back and stomach which he knew were really bothering her.

"Feels good," she said, closing her eyes.

"Good," he said, kissing her cheek, "Sleep."

She fell asleep, finally comfortable for the first time in days.

They both ended up being home for ten days because Beck respiked a fever the night after it broke.

"Let's never do that again," Jade said, leaning on his chest the night before they went back to school, "Though that oatmeal bath we took together wasn't bad."

"I fully agree," Beck said, kissing her.

So, there it was. If anyone had any suggestions for future chapters, I am always open to those.
