Cassandra ordered her men who sprayed something on her skin and AL had to close her eyes because she was about to make the sounds again. "Truly, I am the last Human. My father was a Texan, my mother was from the Arctic Desert. They were born on the Earth and were the last to be buried in its soil. I have come to honor them and say goodbye. Oh, no tears, no tears. I'm sorry. But behold, I bring gifts. From Earth itself, the last remaining ostrich egg. Legend says it had a wingspan of fifty feet and blew fire from its nostrils. Or was that my third husband? Oh, no. Oh, don't laugh. I'll get laughter lines. And here, another rarity." As Cassandra spoke Rose circled around the 'human'. AL was going red in the face trying to hold back her sound and The Doctor looked over at her curiously. A juke box was wheeled in. "According to the archives, this was called an iPod. It stores classical music from humanity's greatest composers. Play on!" The song that came out was not what humans would have considered 'classical' and AL clenched her eyes tighter.
"Refreshments will now be served. Earth Death in thirty minutes." The Steward announced to the party and The Doctor leaned closer to AL.
"Are you okay over there?" He asked worriedly and AL shot him an exasperated look.
*I want to throw something at her, to see if it bounces back….* AL admitted and The Doctor let out a loud laugh before he covered it with a cough when the guests looked over at them.
AL heard a mental huff of laughter and she looked over at who it had came from. The Face of Boe was looking at her and she walked over. The Doctor stopped her and pointed to Rose who had fled the room. Poor girl was probably overwhelmed by everything.
"I'm going to her, you can stay here for a while." The Doctor informed her and she nodded but not before Jabe approached the two of them and took their pictures.
The Doctor hurried away towards Rose while AL walked over to Boe. Jabe was talking to her camera which seemed odd to AL but then again AL had been created in a laboratory so nothing was too odd for her.
"Identify species. Please identify species. Now stop it. Identify her race. Where's she from? Undetermined? It's impossible. Okay what about him? That's 'really' impossible…" Jabe hurried away but not before looking at the strange human like girl.
*Hello sir.* AL greeted Boe politely.
'That was quite a funny thing you said about throwing something at Cassandra…' The Face of Boe chuckled slightly. 'I have not laughed that hard for a long time.' He admitted solemnly.
*I wasn't aware I was that loud.* AL admitted embarrassedly.
'You look the same as I remember you.' Boe admitted quietly and AL shot him a confused look.
*I do not think we've met…* AL mentioned cautiously.
'No, not yet at least.'
*That seems to happen a lot around here: meeting people out of time sequence.*
She heard the mental laugh again.
*I mean I met a future doctor while standing beside The Doctor…not sure what he meant about that.*
'Is that the story about him losing his psychic paper in 1912? It's been so long since I have heard that story!'
*How could you possibly know that story…?*
'Can't tell you kiddo, spoilers.' AL pouted at Boe who laughed. 'It should be illegal that you are so adorable.' Boe teased her then the steward came over the com.
"Would the owner of the blue box in private gallery fifteen please report to the Steward's office immediately. Guests are reminded that use of teleportation devices is strictly forbidden under Peace Treaty five point four slash cup slash sixteen. Thank you."
AL rolled her eyes in exasperation and gave a silent sigh.
*I should…*
'Yes you should make sure The Doctor doesn't make an enemies with that box of his.'
*How do you about…?* AL started and Boe rose an eyebrow at her and she sighed. *Right…spoilers…* She headed towards Gallery 15 and heard the computer mention that the death of the earth would be in 25 minutes.
AL found The Doctor who was scolding the little creatures that had been wheeling the TARDIS into a safe place.
"Oi, now, careful with that. Park it properly. No scratches." He berated and felt a poke to his side and he looked over and smirked at AL.
*Making friends are we?*
"I wouldn't call them friends exactly…" He showed her the ticket he received that said have a nice day on one side and AL made the cute laugh sound again. "Let's go find where Rose is hiding."
