Disclaimer: Still won't ever own. Though who is in agreement that they should make a third movie, if just even for the sake of having Nico.

"He didn't mean what he said, Nico." Annabeth tried to reason with him.

"Even if he didn't, I did… Do." A hand came up to help suppress the urge to let the tears well up in his eyes.

"How could you say that?" She looked positively horrified. "His heart has always been in the right place. Yeah he can be an idiot, but you know that he cares about you. Even now."

"Just not in the same way…." He mumbled. "And the right place being that that suited the greater good for his close friends. I'm not part of that group."

"Of course you are part of it. Even when you were obsessed with your dorky mythomagic game of course," She tried to joke. "He did his best to protect your sister. And you know that was a low blow. He's always tried to make that up to you."

"And alas that is something you can't just simply make up." His face raised up tentatively. "So who would convince him that such a thing is possible? You?"

"What are you trying to say?" Annabeth huffed.

"You lost Luke and Thalia. Do you seem to think those losses can just disappear if you try hard enough?" He pressed on with a morbid curiosity. "You were all in love with Luke before, or so I've heard. Did you ever actually get over him?"

"What do you think?" She said. "I'm dating Percy, aren't I?"

"Are you?" The question hung still in the cool air. "How did you ever get over your first love? Cause it just seems so damn impossible."

"Nico…." Her voice trailed off. "Who are you trying to get over?"

He ignored her. "I just need to know it's possible."

A/N: Just a simple focus on dialogue. Hope you liked. Set probably around fifteen to twenty minutes after the first chapter.
