An idea that's been rattling around in my brain for some time now. Sailor Moon is owned by TOEI Animation and Naoko Takeuchi-sensei.
Sailor Moon is fighting against the will of Ikuto Chiba, who, with his telekinesis, is trying to force her to fall off the sea cliff she hovers near. She's trying so hard, she can't even fight back physically. She wants to say that her body belongs to her and her only, if only she had the strength for that. She can only concentrate on willing her body to stay on the ledge.
But Ikuto is strong. She's about to lose it. She can't hold on much longer.
Then, she hears something. "Sailor Moon!" he calls. She loses her focus. She lets go.
It's not like she wanted to. She was distracted. Even such a small, seemingly insignificant distraction, such as her beloved calling her name, could kill her.
And she fell. Down, down, down.
Splash.
~Twenty Minutes Earlier~
"I brought a couple friends! Hope y'all don't mind," Usagi says, winking. Akira's eyes dart around, searching for something, someone, and Jose looks down at his toes.
"I'm back with the drinks! Unazuki-chan's really swe-" Haruko gasps and drops the drinks when she spots her. "What… Wh-Wh-Wh-What is she doing here?" she sputters.
"Haru-chan, Haru-chan, Haru-chan, calm down, please, for the love of all that is Holy, don't let her out." Usagi tries to reach inside of her emotionally to calm the once-sleeping Solar Flare, but Haruko is on the border of Under Control and Out Of Control. She just stares angry daggers past Usagi aimed at Akira.
Haruko pushes past Usagi towards Akira, and Usagi runs after her, grabbing her by the arms before she has the chance to gouge Akira's eyes out, or worse. "What makes you think you have a right to be here?! Huh?!"
Akira holds her hands up in surrender. "Hey, don't worry. I got a present for ya!" She smiles kindly.
"I have something for you, too!" Haruko growls. She elbows Usagi in the stomach, making her fall, and Mamoru moves to help her. Freed, Haruko slaps Akira in the face really hard, and a silence falls over the Parlor. People stop and stare, wondering what's going on.
"Haru!" Usagi scolds breathlessly, clutching her stomach.
"I don't care what you have to say! Just go away!" Haruko says in a low, menacing voice, trying to keep it under control.
Akira backs away, looking to the side, with her hands still up, palms forward. "Aiight. Whatever. I'll be back when you've gotten over yourself." With that, she turns on her heel and walks away.
"Akira!" Usagi tries to call, and slowly gets up and follows after her.
Akira grins. She pretends to look at her watch, and says, "Target in pursuit. Yukino's counterpart just blew up on me because she had some beef with mine, and so Kuroi-sama's is following me now. Are you ready?"
Ikuto smiles, his face glowing where the clock should be. "I was born that way, baby sis."
"Sweet. We'll be there in no time."
"Alright, good. We didn't get enough last time, so try to make it real dramatic."
"Roger that," she says with a sly smirk. "We'll see you then."
No one noticed that her eyes were actually the emerald green of Hikari's, rather than her own sapphire blue.
Akira sits on the edge of the cliff, Usagi quickly joins her.
"Hey," Usagi says, and smiles. "Long time, no see, huh? How ya been?"
Akira shrugs. "Alright, I suppose."
Usagi blinks at her formality, but brushes it off as awkwardness. Though she shouldn't feel awkward around her. She nods. "Well, that's, uh, good."
Akira sighs. "Know what? I'm tired of this."
Usagi's brow furrows. What's she talking about?
"Ikuto!" she calls, and Usagi's up. She didn't try to stand, it just… happened.
Then she gets a closer look at her "friend". Her eyes are a dark green, like emeralds. Her hair grows, and turns to a brown shade. Usagi recognizes the new woman as, not Akira, but rather, her counterpart, Hikari of the Kurushimi company!
She grits her teeth. "Neo Moon Power: Make Up!" she shouts.
Then, she finds herself walking backwards, towards the ledge. She pushes against it, eyeing the laughing Ikuto with determination.
"I won't lose to you!"
So she said.
"Haru-kun," Mamoru says. "All she wants is your forgive-"
"No," Haruko interrupts him. "That's not Akira."
Mamoru blinks. "What?" he says after a moment.
"She's from the Kurushimi Company," Haruko explains. "Didn't you notice that her eyes were green? And the way she carried herself was different. A little closed off, and… weak."
"What?! You're kidding!"
Haruko shakes her head. "Nope. There's no doubt about it."
"We have to go after them!" he panics. "We have to- Usako is-"
"Going to be totally fine!" Jose finishes. "Please. Give me a little credit, Your Highness! If there's anything I taught these fine ladies, it was to be prepared for anything at all times! Your best friend could be your worst enemy! She'll be fine, My King."
Mamoru looks at Jose with furrowed brows. "Well, I'm not going to just sit here and let her fight alone. I don't care who it is! It's an instinct. A sixth sense, if you will. I've had it since the very beginning. I have to protect her!"
Haruko shrugs. "You might just get in the way. No offense, Mamoru-kun, but she might not need your help."
Mamoru bites his lip. "I'm sorry. I have to."
As he turns to leave, he thinks he notices Jose smirk.
Kuroi laughs evilly, watching her favourite prisoner wriggle around in her cell.
"Try as you may," she says, "you'll never escape! I'll make sure you rot right here!"
The girl screeches at her through her gag, and flips a strand of dyed-blue hair out of her face. She bares her teeth and growls, looking at her with a look that said, "If looks could kill, you'd be dead!" But Kuroi wasn't afraid. She couldn't be afraid of this girl, who stands behind Serenity.
"Jus sue wash," she says, struggling against the cloth in her mouth. "You gon' dah!" She hops over to the bars, and spits on Kuroi's brand-new, strappy, black high-heels.
Kuroi steps back, and looks at her shoes. Then she looks angrily at the girl, and shakes her head. "Oh, you!" she says in a low voice. She pulls a whip out of the front of her dress that reaches down to her hips, and smiles menacingly. The girl's eyes widen in shock. "Yes, you know this whip, don't you? It was once yours, wasn't it? The 'Great Earthen Whip', if I'm not mistaken. Slices through everything, am I right?"
The girl growls at her. "Das mah whip! Bish!"
Kuroi slides open the gate, pulls the whip back, and lashes it.
Crack!
"Haru!" she shouts in pain.
"Akira…" her second favourite prisoner, a man from the future kingdom, groans.
Kuroi grins. She loves their pain.
On a personal note, I had a contest for choir today, and we did amazingly well! I'm so proud of them :')
