Did anyone go to see my deviant? Let me know! :D I posted some Akira and Haru-chan ;)
Tuxedo Mask carefully gets up, using only one arm and one leg, to find that he and Venus teleported to the docks. It's probably somewhere around three of four in the morning. He undoes his henshin and tries to help Venus up.
"Can you transform back?" he asks.
"Can try..." She groans in pain and eventually morphs back into Aino Minako.
"C'mon, we need some help."
"From who?"
"The only person who would understand our situation and be able to heal us quickly: Luna."
"You still have the wounds," Luna says, temporarily human, "so it'll still hurt like hell, but you're not bleeding anymore, and you can still operate. Be more careful next time."
"Right," Minako mutters.
"I'm serious. This is really surprising for you two, having more experience than the others. I'm especially surprised that the Celestial Trio managed to get captured. Take more care, you guys. Would you prefer I come with you, as first aid?"
"No!" Mamoru says, a little too forcefully. "I mean, no. It's too dangerous."
Luna smiles. "Thanks for caring about me."
"Chibiusa!" Mamoru yells, banging on the door to his apartment, leaning on the frame. He had been standing for too long, so his leg was burning, making it next to impossible to stand any longer. But he knows he has to.
"Coming!" she yells back, and soon opens the door. "Where the hell— Whoa, what happened to you?"
Pushing past her, he says, "Only got shot in the arm and thigh and had major blood loss and—oh, yeah!—I also feel like total shit because I had the most important people in my life taken away from me and I couldn't do anything about it."
"Well, are you going back?"
"Yes, I am."
"I think you should sit first."
"Why? So that everybody can die just because I needed to 'take a break?' 'Whoa, hold on, guys, time out, I need to catch my breath first.' Yeah, the Devil's gonna be totally on board with waiting."
"Just sit down, Dad. You're stressed, and you need to get your shit together."
He sits on the couch, elevating his leg. "Why the hell is there so much crap in here?"
"Sorry."
He sighs. "It's fine. I'm sorry I shouldn't be…" Then, it occurs to him. She's here.
"What?"
"Why are you here?"
"Wh-What do you mean?"
"I mean, Usako is…" He clenches his jaw and looks away. He doesn't want to finish that sentence.
"She is?" Chibiusa says quietly. He looks back at her and her face is filled with horror. "No, that can't happen. You… You always told me that Sailor Moon is undefeatable. That's impossible. She can't be… She can't be… gone… No!" she finally screams.
Mamoru grits his teeth. The agony of losing a mother… He can't imagine the pain, because he doesn't remember it. The people he'd seen in hell earlier that Akira had pointed out were next to strangers to him. He knew they were his parents, and he should have felt something, which he sort of did, but it was fabricated. He doesn't even know them, didn't feel much of a connection to them, even when his father put his hand on his shoulder and said, "You're a man now, Mamoru." He didn't feel anything. Not even a psychic thing or a flashback. He can't sympathize in that way, but he feels the same way, because they're family. Usako was the love of his life.
He sighs. He can't think of that right now. There's still a chance. "I have to go," he says, and carefully stands.
"Let me…" she starts to say as he opens the door, "...come, too…"
"No, I can't let you. It's too dangerous."
Chibiusa rolls her eyes. "I think I can handle myself."
He crosses the room and holds her tightly. "Please, just… stay here. I need you to be safe. I don't want to lose you, too, just please." He kisses her head and she sighs.
"Okay," she says after a while. "I'll stay here. Just don't get yourself killed. Please."
"Again? I don't think so." He swallows. He's trying to brave to her, but he's actually not sure. "Usagi?"
"Y-Yes?"
"I love you. Don't forget that."
"And you're gonna come back with everyone and say it again. I know you will."
He smiles and squeezes her one last time before letting go. "Thanks." He heads toward the door. "I'm off."
"See you later," she says, giving him a serious look. He nods.
He's still not sure.
"Did you handle Jose? Is he on his way?" Mamoru asks when he meets Minako on the dark street.
Minako nods. "Yeah, but I couldn't find any of the Outers. So we're four people short."
"Five," he says.
"What? Did Chibiusa not wanna come? That's uncharacteristic for her."
He shakes his head. "That's not it. I didn't let her come."
"What?!" Minako shrieks. "Are you stupid? We need the reinforcements!"
"Is it so wrong for me to want to protect my own daughter?! You know what that… guy is capable of! I can't… I can't lose her, too…"
Minako sighs exasperatedly and pinches the bridge of her nose. Then she waves it away. "Alright. Fine. Whatever. Let's just hope and pray that we can do this… If we had time, we could go to the Altar in Silver Millenium and pray, but we don't have time, and…" She sighs again, and curses under her breath. "Let's just go. C'mon."
They transform and start running towards the docks, soon joined by Jose. "Why didn't you guys tell me there was a war going on?! Geez!" When he doesn't receive a response, he asks, "Is everything okay?"
"The Celestial Trio is dead, Jose," Sailor Venus answers monotonically.
"Wh-What? Dead? Usagi, and… Akira...?"
"And Haruko. They're dead."
"That… That can't be right… They're stronger than that. They can't be dead."
"That's what we thought, too, but you have to face reality sometime, kid," Tuxedo Mask says.
"Heh, that's funny… Akira calls me 'kid', too."
Tux swallows, but doesn't respond. Even though he's only known Akira for a few months, he loves her. He wonders why, because he doesn't remember her at all. The only thing he knows is when he first touched her, he got this strange vision of him sitting in a large throne as Prince Endymion and her leaning against it, wearing a dark, sparkly, blue gown. It was only half a second, but he remembers it distinctly.
"Wait up!" someone calls behind them, breaking Tux from his thoughts. They all turn to see Sailor Chibimoon following them. "I'm coming, too!"
"Goddammit, Usagi! I told you to stay there!"
"Well, there's a slight problem…"
"What?"
"These skeleton soldiers or whatever broke in through the window. They're following me."
Sure enough, three of the soldiers that had attacked them before were quickly catching up. Tux's eyes widen. He curses. "Venus…" he says warily.
"I see, Mamoru."
"Lovely Pink Rhapsody!" Chibimoon shouts, spinning with a long, pink staff in hand. Tux grabs her hand and continues running, causing her to shriek. He picks her up and places her on his back. "What are you doing?!"
"You can't kill those things! We've tried!"
"Well, if they can kill Sailor Moon when no one is more undefeated, surely there's some way to kill them."
"We don't have the time to figure that out. We have to get back to Hell."
"Hell?"
"You'll see."
Haruka sips her coffee and sets it down on the booth table in the Crown Fruits Parlor above the Crown Game Center.
"Haruka," Michiru, who sits across from her, says, pointing out the window. "Look. There they are. It looks like they're in trouble."
Haruka looks and sees Sailor Venus, a strange man, and Tuxedo Mask with Sailor Chibimoon on his back seemingly running for their lives. They soon see the reason why.
"What is that?" Michiru asks. "Are those… skeletons?"
"It must be serious if they're running away from it. We should go help them out," Setsuna says, and Hotaru nods in agreement.
"Isn't it strange," Michiru says, "that there's only a few of them?" She pulls out her Deep Aqua Mirror, and instantly drops it in horror.
"What?!" Haruka asks. "What is it?! What do you see?!"
"Th-The Devil…"
"World Shaking!"
"Deep Submerge!"
"Dead Scream!"
"Silence Glaive Surprise!"
"Goddammit, don't attack them! There's no point!" Tuxedo Mask shouts, and Chibimoon visibly flinches, as the Outers approach them. "C'mon, we have to hurry!"
"Sorry, Tough Guy," Uranus spits. "Thought you could use a hand."
Tux ignores her, and she frowns. "C'mon," Neptune says, and runs along with the others.
Uranus frowns. "Where we headed?"
"Hell," Tuxedo Mask answers.
Uranus raises an eyebrow. "Seriously, where?"
"I am serious. I'm one-hundred-percent serious."
"Is that where the others are?"
"Haruka, Usagi is dead."
"You better quit shitting around right now, Chiba."
"I'm not. I told you, I'm one-hundred-percent serious. The whole Celestial Trio is dead."
Usagi slowly opens her eyes, which feel heavy.
"Have at me, girl. I like it when you're angry."
"I'm angry, all right. I'm gonna kill you."
Hearing that calm voice say those words sends a chill down Usagi's spine and makes her blood run cold. It's an anger that she's only heard of: Vortex. "H-Haru-chan…" she says, her voice raspy.
"Usagi, come talk to me. We must develop a plan to defeat this calamitous thing."
Lucifer chuckles. "Never heard that one before. Just because I like you, I'll let you try to come up with a plan that probably won't work. Hell, I'll even let you do it alone. Don't take too long," he says, and leaves the room.
Usagi looks around the room, and quickly spots Akira. She covers her mouth to keep from retching, and looks away. When she feels able to trust her mouth, she asks, "What're we gonna do?"
"We must do something. I can't let him get away with everything he's done. He murdered my sister, Usagi."
"C-Cassie?" Usagi asks in horror. She met the girl a few times and attended the funeral, and really loved her. She can believe it, though. This despicable creature would go to any lengths to crush the senshi.
"Do we even know if we're going in the right direction?" Mars asks impatiently.
"I'm pretty sure that we're supposed to go up," Jupiter replies. "Are we going up? Yes, we're going up."
"No need to be sassy," Mars says. "It just… feels like we're going in circles."
"If we keep our faith and our heads, we should be fine," Mercury says, calculating how much further up they'll have to go.
"Faith? Faith in what? The fact that everyone's dead?"
"Not everyone is dead."
"You don't know that! We could be the only ones left!"
Mercury gives her a look. "Keep your faith and your head. And yes, we do know that, because some of them are coming up behind us right now."
"There's some people up there," Pluto says. "Could they be ours?"
"They could also be SkeleSoldiers," Tuxedo Mask points out.
"Why are you such a pessimist?" Venus asks irritatedly. "We don't need pessimism. We're in the same rut you are." Tuxedo Mask grumbles something too low for Venus to hear, and she growls. "What was that?"
"I said, 'You don't even understand!'"
"Oh, why you—!"
"Mercury! Mars, Jupiter!" Tuxedo Mask shouts, ignoring her. Oh, she swears, one day, she's gonna—!
"You brought the Outers!" Mercury says, smiling. "Wonderful! It's good to have such strong back-up."
"Is she being serious?" Venus hears Uranus whisper to Neptune, but instead answering, Neptune moves to hug Mercury, kissing her on either side of her face.
"Thank you for coming," Mercury says.
"Of course," Neptune replies, smiling at her. Venus notices Uranus give a strange look, but it's only slight and lasts for only a second, so she's not sure that's what she saw.
"Shall we get a move-on, now that we're all together again?" Mars says.
"Sure, let's go," Uranus says, grinning, and cracks her knuckles. "I wanna show this guy what we're made of!"
Jupiter grins. "Let's do it!"
"Are you sure? That sounds pretty risky, and unfavorable on my part, not to mention the teensiest bit morbid," Usagi says, biting her lip.
"Haven't you ever wondered, though? And you can still use your powers, it'll just be different," Haruko reassures her. "And besides, that's the best plan C we have. I'll go find mine, and you hurry up with that one, okay?" With that, Haruko drops into the floor.
Usagi looks down at her shoes. How could she just use Akira's body like that? And what if her soul is still in there? What would she do then? Would they share, or would it be impossible to enter the body?
But this is coming from Haruko, who has the greatest love and respect for Akira. If she says it's okay, then it should be okay… right?
It still feels wrong, though. With a heavy sigh, she tries to figure out how she would enter the body. She approaches it and touches the face, and then is quickly absorbed into the body, leaving Tuxedo Mask's jacket and cape behind.
Haruko wonders where in this Hell her body could be. Could it really be that easy to just re-enter her body? If so, then why hadn't she done it before? She wishes she could bring Usagi's body to her, but her body is back at Mamoru's apartment, waiting for her to come back, leaving Akira's body as the next best choice.
"Oh, my Lord," Haruko says, shaking her head when she finds her body in the same place it had been before. She can't believe this guy just left her body laying there, out in the open. He must not be very tactical.
"Haruko?!"
Haruko flips around to see Jose running towards her. "Jose-san! You're here?"
"Yeah, what happened to you? They told me you were dead, but…"
She glances back at her body. "Not so much dead as separated from my body. But Akira's…" She swallows. "Akira's dead."
Jose pulls her into a hug, and she sniffs. "I'm sorry."
"Thanks." She pulls away. "I was just trying to see if I could re-enter my body, well, that's our plan anyway."
"'Our' plan?" Tuxedo Mask asks hopefully.
Haruko smiles and touches her body's face, finding herself sucked into it. When she does, she feels good, but she has never felt heavier. She sits up, and says, "Yeah, mine and Usa-chan's plan."
He looks relieved, saying, "Oh, thank God."
She smiles. "Want me to take you guys to her?"
He smiles, too. "Where to?"
Usagi, now in Akira's body, stands slowly. She falls against the wall, injured. Though this body is not her own, she feels the pain of it. She doesn't think she's ever felt so much physical pain. She imagines how Akira must have felt when she was getting this pain, and probably fought back, earning herself more pain.
"What the—?" someone says. Usagi looks around to see who spoke, but no one's there besides her brother, lying limply on the ground. "Who is this filling up the space in my head? I swear to God, if this is Blondie—"
"Akira?"
"Goddammit, Blondie, what the hell are you doing?! My body is not a motel, you can't stay here!"
"It wasn't my choice! Haru-chan made me!"
"Well—"
There's what sounds like a struggle outside the door.
"Lemme just borrow it. You were dead, so consider this a favor I'm doing you. Neo Moon Power, Make-Up!" she yells, and feels accomplished as she's enveloped in ribbons, feeling the power course through her veins. She runs out to join the fight, ignoring the pain she feels.
"Goddammit, Blondie, I don't want to be Sailor Moon."
"Too bad, 'cause you are. Get over it."
"Akira?!" Tuxedo Mask says, and Sailor Moon frowns.
"Not exactly, hun."
He looks confused, and she smiles, causing him to look more confused.
"That's very clever of you, Sailor Moon. Stealing your dead friend's body, huh? You've stooped to a new low."
Sailor Moon loses control, and Akira takes over. "I ain't dead, ya retard! But you're gonna be in two seconds!" She lunges for Lucifer's throat, and, surprising everyone, gets a hold of him. Sailor Moon watches the scene unfold in front of her. She feels her hands inflicting pain on this man, but she can't do anything about it. She can yell and scream at Akira as much as she wants—mentally, mind you—but she can't physically do anything. Akira knows her brain best, and Sailor Moon can't wriggle her way in between.
`Akira, stop!` she screams. `Stop it this instant! What are you doing?! Why are you doing this?! C'mon, stop!`
"Shut up, Usagi!" Akira says out loud. "I'm doing what has to be done because you don't have the guts to do it!"
`Akira, please, you don't need to do this! There's got to be another way!`
She finally regains control of the body, but realizes that this feels way too good. She doesn't want to stop.
`Another way?` Akira questions, aggravated. `What the hell are you doing?!`
Usagi squeezes her eyes shut, and, moving her hands to his shoulders to hold him down, yells, "O Pure Light of the Moon! Shine upon this man and make him see the error of his ways! Strike him with Thy Light and make him Pure! Moonlight Healing!"
A bright white light fills the room, and Sailor Moon and Lucifer both scream in agony.
"Guys, let's help her! Neo Mercury Power!"
"Neo Mars Power!"
"Neo Jupiter Power!"
"Neo Venus Power!"
"Uranus Cosmic Power!"
"Neptune Cosmic Power!"
"Saturn Cosmic Power!"
"Pluto Cosmic Power!"
Wow. I wrote this all yesterday. :3 You're welcome.
