So this isn't an actual chapter… Yet. I swear I'm working on an update for this story. But I feel like I should apologize for a lot of things that have been happening lately. Which is a whole lot of nothing. I could make some excuse about how I'm busy or just don't have the time, but no excuse is suffice enough for why I've been neglecting this story. I really do try and update it more often, but for some reason inspiration just doesn't strike like it does for Percy Jackson.
If you've followed this story from the very beginning, I would like to thank you for putting up with my hectic update schedule, and the very fast paced story. I'm debating rewriting it (kind of) but slowing the pace down a bit. Or maybe trying a different approach. Now, before you kill me, I've been working on my update schedule, and it's gotten to a point where I've actually updated fairly regularly again. Nowhere near the amount I did in high school (which was every day, sometimes multiple times… I had no life, alright.)
I have a quick question for this very tiny fandom. And it's not like this really bugs me because I could honestly care less at this point. Your opinion is your opinion. I was just wondering why people who are against yaoi (which this story very clearly is) feel the need to read my story, even though they know they won't like it, and then leave a comment. Again, I don't care. Not everyone is going to agree with me, and that's fine. But I like yaoi, and I like Stig and Hal together. I'm sorry if you don't. I'm sure there's other stories you could read that is not this one. Then again maybe not. This is a very small fandom.
I would also like to point out you are warned very heavily ahead of time what this story contains. If you don't like it, again, that's fine, but I don't go out of my way to make myself miserable just to prove a point. It seems very counterproductive to me. Huh. Funny. 2012 me would've blown a gasket by now. Show's how much I've matured over the years I suppose.
That being said, I stick by my decisions. Are they the best? Perhaps not. After all, there's a lot of things that could be improved upon. But make no mistake, I am NOT ashamed of choosing the pairing the way I have. This is a site for fans to write fictional stories. I am a fan, writing a fictional story. I mean, that's what this site was invented for. For fans of mutual things to get together and read fictional stories about said mutual likings.
I've gotten my share of flak in the day, so honestly this doesn't even bother me anymore. I'm just explaining myself in a rational, calm way. That way you understand where I'm coming from as well. I've heard what you've had to say. I think it's only fair you hear my side of the story (so to speak).
That all being said, I have seen so much love for this pairing as well, and I am very, very grateful that so many people agree with me. I truly am sorry that this story may not be the best representation of this particular yaoi paring, but I'm going to buckle down and really get serious, starting with rereading from the beginning so I have all the information fresh in my mind. Any input you guys have is welcome wholeheartedly. I love you guys, my fans, my friends. Let's go on this journey together, wherever it may lead.
