Been awhile since I've been with this story. Anyway, here's chapter 2 of Greatest Treasure
The Buizel opened his eyes; he was looking right at me. "W-Who're…you?" he asked in a weak voice. I grinned at the wee little guy, "My name's Koro matey!" Tenor flapped around in a circle and repeated "Koro! Koro!" I chuckled.
"What's yer' name little guy?" I asked. The Buizel pointed to his neck, there was a necklace around his neck that was under his Floatie. It looked like a watch; I looked at him to make sure not to scare him. He nodded and I turned over the watch.
The name "Zephyr" was engraved in it.
"Yer name's Zephyr kid? I'll just call yer Zeph OK?" I said, patting him on the head lightly. Zephyr cringed, and gave me a frightened look and backed away, kicking sand in his frenzy. I coughed and some sand hit my nose and mouth.
"What're yer' doin' on this island?" I asked
"I d-don't remember…" Zeph said
"Where are yer from?" I asked
"I d-don't remember…" Zeph said
I blinked a bit confused "Don't remember nothin'?" I asked, he shook his head no
I bit my lip thinking "Hoo, this boy is gonna be a riot I can tell…"
Zeph's stomach growled, I sighed, and slightly smiled at the little guy, "Yer hungry, ain't yer? How long has it been since yer last ate?" Zeph shook his head, and rubbed it, he looked a bit dazed. I stood up, and he suddenly tripped forward. I acted quickly and caught him in my arms.
All of a sudden, everything turned grey. I looked around and heard a sudden ticking. I looked at Zeph's watch as it started glowing. I noticed that time had suddenly ceased all around myself. "Zeph? ...Tenor?" A sudden green light started to swirl around me, and the clock appeared in front of me, and started to rewind itself.
I tilted my head confused, wondering what the hell was going on.
I suddenly found myself in the middle of on alley. I rubbed my eyes and looked around. I could hear laughter around the corner. I poked my head around curiously. A young Buizel was playing around with a Cyndaquill, and Charmander. I walked over toward the trio to spy on their conversation. I held up my paw, seeing if they would notice me, "Hey, little fellas." I greeted trying to get their attention, and of course, they didn't notice me at all.
The Buizel spoke, somewhat excited, as his tails spun around, "I think my Mom's getting ready for him!" It was then a Floatzel came out and muttered someting to the Buizel, he gasped, and the trio clapped their hands. It was then the Floatzel pulled out a necklace with a clock on it...
It looked like Zeph's necklace, was I reliving Zephyr's past?
As soon as I thought i figured I was reliving Zeph's memories everything got all merged together an the memory vanished, I closed my eyes, and then opened them, and I was right back on the island.
I rubbed my head cringing. Zeph looked at me confused, "A-Are you okay, Koro...?" I looked down at Zeph. I shook my head, taking the little guy in my paws, "I...don't think yer count as a treasure, but, i'm gonna take yer with me." It was then Tenor mocked, "With me, with me!" he squawked, I swatted at him, and put Zeph in the boat, and started to row back.
"Um...Where are you taking me, and why?" Zeph asked curiously. I continued to row, "Back to my ship, and...I don't know, I just...got a feelin' about yer." I responded Zeph blushed and looked away. We had reached the ship in a few moments, it wasn't far.
I climbed up and helped up Zeph, and Tenor flew up. I walked into my personal quarters, and Zeph followed behind, he looked at me with eyes of curiousity. I patted him on the head, and then climbed up the stairs, and took the wheel. Zeph tugged at my coat, "Where are we going?"
I smiled as we started to sail forward, "To Pokeopolis" He tilted his head confused, "Why?" I smirked, "Getting my old crew back together for an adventure." Zeph gave a depressive sigh, "What about me?"
I looked back at Zeph, and squatted a bit, and patted him on the head, "I'm gonna help yer git yer memory back Zeph."
Zeph smiled widely, "Promise? But...how?"
I wasn't sure how I was going to explain it to him about what I saw when I was in his memory, I just grinned, "I'm a salor, and we never go back on our word."
I...didn't really know what I was getting into when I promised him, but I promised him, so I cannot go back...I don't know what awaits me in more of Zeph's recollections, but i'm sure i'll find out what caused that strange sensation from before. I have a feeling that whatever triggers it, i'll figure it out soon.
First off, let me apologize for not continuing this. Let me thank the guest reviewer whoever s/he was that reminded me that this was two, and almost three years old! I cannot let my stories die, so let's have something more here, yeah? See ya!
