Worse than the silence. More sinister than the weeping angles. More aggressive than a dalek. As stubborn as the Doctor himself.

I had enough.

I picked the scissors up of the vanity before me.

I paused, giving my opponent only last chance.

"No? Fine", I said with disdain and snipped.

Slowly the curl fell from my head and rested upon the vanity.

Out of all this outrageous hair there was always one. A piece that would not just not obey. It was like an early warning system, as it only did it when the Doctor was close.

No matter how much I tried to put it in place it just would not stay.

It came in very handy, but tonight it was useless. Usually I did not mind it, but I knew he was coming and I was trying to look nice, tonight was special.

Our anniversary.

A time space phenomenon. An entire parallel world created and destroyed in an instant. A marriage and a murder in a moment. A world that I had created out of fear and destroyed out of love.

Tonight was just going to be about them, which meant she had to look her best.

All he had said when they had talked was to be ready at the end of the world at 7:30. He had refused to tell her where they were going only saying that he was taking her to an undisclosed location, on an even more secretive planet.

God he was so cocky sometimes.

I blushed at my word choice. There would be time for that later, I giggled.

"I hope you aren't laughing at me", the Doctor said.

I whipped my head and looked at hi smiling.

My husband.

He was in a tuxedo from my favourite year, 5362. I wasn't sure why that was my favourite year before tonight, but now that he stood in front of me I I realized why. He was breath taking. The tuxedo itself was nothing special on its own but on him it was perfect. It was jet black and, of course, paired with a white bowtie. He had gotten a hair cut.

I turned around to check myself one last time. Sure enough another hair was standing on end.

I tried to rub it down with no success. I rolled my eyes and reached for the scissors again. When I brought then up to rid my head of it a hand grabbed them from behind, disarming me.

I looked at him confused.

"You look amazing", he said with a small smile.

"Sweetie give me the scissors. It won't take more than a second", I said looking in mirror again, my hand open for him to hand the scissors over.

"You look amazing", he repeated.

"Doctor give me m scissors", I said getting annoyed.

The Doctor met my eyes in the mirror and quickly messed all my hair up.

"What are you doing!", I yelled and spun around to face him.

"Fixing it. Now look", he smiled, "You look beautiful!"

I shook my head, my heart melting, a smile slowly spreading across my face.

"The Singing Towers of Durilium", he said as I ran ahead.

"Didn't quite catch that sweetie", I said back at him.

"Durilium", he said, "That's where we are going".

I smiled as I hopped into the TARDIS, the Doctor not far behind me.

"No, River wrong TARDIS. I'm parked 'round back", he said as I gawked at another Doctor, "Younger version".

"Two of you", I gasped, "The mind races, does it not?"

"Come on we'll be late", he said hand on my hip.

"He's taking me to the singing towers of Durilium. He's been promising for ages", I said as I walked out of the TARDIS.

For those of you who didn't get the reference I was referring to it was a mini episode. It is on youtube for those of you who haven't seen it. Thanks for reading! And as always follow and favourite, thanks love you all!
