First of all, I am so so sorry for how long this took! I am still continuing the story, it's just moving a lot slower! My friend got me into Harry Potter and I've been reading them over break. That and Torchwood took up a lot of time.
By the way, this chapter contains some spoilers for season one of Torchwood.
Chapter 13: Utopia
"Where are we going next?" Martha asked excitedly. The Doctor was bouncing about as well.
"First, Cardiff. We need to refuel real quick. It'll be a short one – just enough for a few trips," the Doctor said.
"Does that mean we can see Jack?" Freya asked eagerly.
"Nah. Not this time. It'll be too quick. We're landing in the year you were gone, so don't worry about having any of them mad about you not stopping by and seeing them," the Doctor said with a grin.
"I'll go lay Bad Wolf down for a nap then, if that's okay," Freya said.
"Sure. The TARDIS can play nanny if he wakes up. Ask her to make you a little walkie-talkie so you can hear him," the Doctor suggested.
"What if our trip turns out to be a few day one?" Freya asked in alarm, staring at him.
"We'll stay close to the TARDIS. But for the first trip with him on a real adventure, I'd rather him start out in here, in case we get surrounded by cannibals again, or something like that," the Doctor warned. Freya sighed.
"Has that really happened?" Martha asked in horror.
"Twice since I came on board," Freya admitted as she made her way out of the room. She had just laid Bad Wolf down in the bed, asleep, when the TARDIS gave a sharp jerk. Freya gripped the cradle tightly, but Bad Wolf didn't stir. She turned and a walkie-talkie was waiting for her.
"Thanks, old girl," Freya said fondly as she clipped the walkie-talkie on to her belt. She hurried down the hallways as the TARDIS jerked again.
She made it to the console room just as the TARDIS landed roughly.
"What happened?" Freya asked. The Doctor shook his head.
"We landed in TARDIS for about a minute or two and then took off, but she accelerated. We're farther than the Time Lords have ever gone. The end of the universe," the Doctor said with a wide grin. He was at the doors in an instant, Martha right behind him.
"You'll let me know if Bad Wolf wakes up?" Freya asked. The TARDIS lights flashed and Freya sent her a smile before following them out of the TARDIS. Only to stop in horror.
"Jack?" Freya asked in disbelief.
Lying on the ground, dead, was Jack. Martha was frantically trying to revive him as the Doctor stared down at him.
Freya almost felt uncomfortable looking at him. It was disturbing, honestly. She didn't like how it made her feel. It was like she'd felt when she first met Jack. Like he was so wrong. Why did she feel like that now and not before?
A moment later he gasped to life, shocking Martha. He was on his feet in an instant, eyeing Martha.
"Captain Jack Harkness, and who might you be?" he asked her, flashing her a smile.
"Jack," Freya warned.
"Martha Jones," Martha said, allowing him to shake her hand. Jack then moved to Freya and hugged her. Freya couldn't help but wince at the feeling. Jack pulled back, alarmed.
"Are you okay?" he asked.
"It's because you're wrong, Jack," the Doctor told him.
"But I'm only wrong because of you?" Jack pointed out.
"It's like you're worse now," Freya told him. She ignored the cold feeling and hugged him tightly once more.
"I don't understand. What are you doing here?" Freya asked him as she pulled back.
"I was clinging to the outside of the TARDIS," Jack said wryly.
"Why?" Freya gasped out.
"Because it was taking off. I had to find you guys. I've been waiting too long to miss you again," Jack swore angrily. Freya stared at him hard.
"Jack…when's the last time you met us?" Freya asked.
"In New New York. When you said it'd take me to the right time. The Vortex Manipulator barely got me to Earth," Jack said.
"I'm so sorry. I…well, we'd met you, future you, and it sounded like it would have," Freya said, feeling horrible. Jack shook his head, staring at her.
"It's not your fault," he told her before glancing at her stomach.
"Don't know how long it's been for you, but the baby bump's not there," Jack said. Freya shook her head and grabbed his hand, ignoring the chill that settled through her bones at the movement. She pressed his hand against her stomach. It didn't look big, but she knew there was a slight bump.
"Baby number two, on her way," Freya told him as his face morphed to one of shock.
"How many years?" Jack choked.
"Technically, we saw a version of you within the last six months or so. You? About two years or so, at least," the Doctor said.
"Closer to three," Freya admitted.
"And you didn't think to come looking for me?" Jack asked.
"Like he said, we knew you. We'd seen you, your future self. We had no idea," Freya said slowly.
"We need to talk about why….hello," the Doctor stopped, eyes focusing on a man running in the distance.
"Is it just me, or does that look like a hunt?" the Doctor asked. He took off running, grabbing Freya's hand as he did. Freya was barely able to keep from falling over as she stumbled after him, Martha and Jack running alongside him.
"Oh I've missed this," Jack cried out as they ran. It took them a bit but they ended up colliding with the man.
"I've got you," Jack said, holding the man and steadying him.
"They're coming! They're coming!" the man cried frantically. Jack whipped out a revolver and pointed it towards the people that were coming towards them.
"Jack, don't you dare!" the Doctor shouted at him. Jack glanced at him before back at the people running towards him and shot the gun into the air a few times, making the people running towards them stop in their tracks.
"What the hell are they?" Martha asked.
"Three guesses? Cannibals. Bloody cannibals. You had to jinx it," Freya accused, glaring at the Doctor.
"And that's why we left Bad Wolf on board?" the Doctor asked sheepishly, rubbing the back of his head.
"There's more of them. We've got to keep going," the man urged them.
"I've got a ship nearby. It's safe. It's not far, it's over there," the Doctor said, pointing towards the hill they'd just run down.
Only to see more of the crazy tribeslike people running at them from that direction to.
"Or maybe not," the Doctor corrected.
"We're close to the silo. If we can get to the silo, they we're safe," the man told them.
"Silo?" the Doctor asked.
"Silo," Jack agreed.
"Silo for me," Martha added.
"No! My son's up there!" Freya protested as Jack grabbed Freya, throwing her over his
shoulder as he took off running after the Doctor and Martha.
"Sorry, we've gotta go," Jack told her quickly.
"But my baby's on board still!" Freya screamed at him, beating his back as they slowed down.
"It's the Futurekind! Open the gate!" the man they were with shouted.
"Show me your teeth! All of your teeth!" another voice shouted. Jack had Freya on the ground instantly, holding her mouth open with one hand and keeping her in place with the other.
"Human! Let them in!" the guard behind the gate shouted as the gates opened. Jack dragged Freya in just as they shut the gate, the guard shooting bullets at the ground near what the man had called the Futurekind.
"Let me go! I have to go back there!" Freya protested.
"We're trapped in here. We can't just traipse out there," the Doctor informed her. Freya pulled the walkie talkie from her hip and pressed the button, listening carefully. Nothing.
"Don't tell him to put down his gun, do you?" Jack asked the Doctor snippily.
"He's not my responsibility," the Doctor said.
"And I am? Huh, that makes a change," Jack said bitterly.
"Thanks for that," the Doctor said, turning to the guard as the other people seemed to move away.
"Right, let's get you inside," the guard said. The man they were with clutched the guard tightly.
"My name is Padra Toc Shafe Cane. Tell me, just tell me, can you take me to Utopia?" he begged.
"Oh yes sir. Yes I can," the guard said as he led them inside the compound.
Freya was silent as they were led inside and followed a little boy inside. She didn't even pay attention. She didn't want to. They were trapped here, trapped and her son was not with them. He was all alone on the TARDIS, where he could wake up at any moment. He'd wake up and be all alone.
Freya followed them along as Jack started flirting with the first person he saw. Freya wrapped an arm around his shoulder, pulling herself out of her sulk and Jack from his flirting pose.
"Your wife won't appreciate that," Freya reminded him. Jack looked confused for a moment.
"How do you know about her?" Jack asked.
"You've mentioned her a few times. She's gotta be a saint to put up with all your flirting," Freya said wryly.
"Actually, she flirts twice as bad," Jack said with a grin.
"Just stop it, both of you," the Doctor complained, "Give us a hand with this. It's half-deadlocked. I need you to overwrite the code. Let's find out where we are," the Doctor said.
"Only half deadlocked? It took them this long to figure out that deadlocking things was the smartest option?" Freya asked, sharing an eyeroll with Martha.
It took the boys a few minutes but they finally managed to pry the door open. The Doctor nearly fell through the opening in the process, causing Jack to catch him.
"Gotcha," Jack said, his arm still firmly around the Doctor's waist. Martha snickered at the two of them, although the Doctor didn't seem to realize how their actions were amusing.
"Thanks," the Doctor said.
"How did you cope without me?" Jack teased him.
"I have Freya," the Doctor said, gesturing to her.
"You do," Jack agreed as his hand started to wander. The Doctor jerked away from him quickly, shooting him a glare. Jack could only laugh at him.
"I figured if you were going to compare me to Freya, I might as well pretend to be her for a minute there," Jack said with a wink.
"I'd rather you didn't," the Doctor said, his voice a bit too high.
"I don't know. I think it'd be mighty amusing," Freya said. The Doctor's mouth gaped at her before turning to Martha, who threw up her hands.
"You won't get anything out of me," Martha said with a grin.
About that time, the walkie talkie on Freya's hip sparked to life, revealing whimpers.
"Bad Wolf. We need to get to him," Freya said.
"We will. We need to understand where we are and how to get back," the Doctor told her, giving her an earnest smile.
Martha stepped up, staring out at the empty space. Freya did as well, deciding that that would be the quickest way to discover where they were.
"Now that's what I call a rocket," Martha breathed.
"They're not refugees out there. They're passengers," the Doctor said in disbelief.
"He did say they were going to Utopia," Martha reminded him.
"The perfect place. Hundred trillion years, it's the same old dream. You recognize those engines?" the Doctor asked Jack.
"Nope. Whatever it is, it's not rocket science. But it's hot, though," Jack said.
"Ironic. A rocket that isn't rocket science," Freya said drily to Martha, who giggled at her words.
"Boiling," the Doctor said as he closed the doors, "but if the universe is falling apart, what does Utopia mean?" Freya turned away from them, only to come face to face with a beaming old man.
"The Doctor?" he asked anxiously, eyes landing on Jack. The Doctor raised a hand.
"That's me!" he said. The man nodded eagerly.
"Good! Good, good, good, good, good, good!" he repeated happily. Freya shot him a confused look, to which he only shrugged.
"It's good, apparently," the Doctor said as the older man dragged him away. Jack, Martha and Freya had no choice but to follow him through the crowds of people and into a laboratory.
The Doctor was instantly tugged along to view things he had made, as a blue creature greeted them.
"Chan welcome tho," she said.
"Hello. Who are you?" Martha asked her with a smile.
"Chan Chantho tho," she said. Jack stepped forward, a grin erupting on his face.
"Captain Jack Harkness," Jack said.
"Stop it," the Doctor interrupted.
"Can't I say hello to anyone?" Jack complained.
"Chan I do not protest tho," she said with a grin. Freya sent her own grin at Jack.
"You can say hello to me all you want," Freya said with a wink, earning a groan from the Doctor.
"Don't even think about it," the Doctor said.
"He can say hello as we exchange stories about our significant others. I'm sure he has quite a few he could share," Freya shot back, wriggling her eyebrows at Jack.
"Oh, I could share enough stories to last a millennia. Unfortunately, timestreams doesn't allow me to do that just yet," Jack warned her.
"Ah well. I was hoping for a distraction," Freya said, eyes sliding down to her hip where the Walkie-Talkie was still silent.
"Oh my God!" Martha exclaimed in horror. Jack and Freya turned to her to see that she had pulled a container from Jack's backpack.
A container holding a hand.
"What is that?" Freya asked, staring dubiously at it.
"Oh my God. You've got a hand? A hand in a jar? A hand in a jar in your bag?" Martha exclaimed in horror as the Doctor moved closer, frown marring his face.
"But that, that, that's my hand," the Doctor protested. Freya moved closer as well, examining the thing closely.
"It does look like your hand," Freya agreed.
"I said I had a Doctor detector," Jack pointed out.
"Chan is this a tradition among your people tho?" Chantho asked worriedly.
"Not on my street. What do you mean, that's your hand. You've got both your hands, I can see them," Martha pointed out.
"He lost his hand Christmas day in a swordfight. Then grew a new one. Sort of like a worm," Freya supplied.
"What…" Martha drifted off in horror.
"Might I ask, what species are you?" the old man asked.
"Time Lord, last of. Heard of them?" the Doctor asked. The man shook his head.
"Legend or anything? Not even a myth? Blimey, end of the universe is a bit humbling," the Doctor groaned.
"Chan it is said that I am the last of my species as well tho," Chantho said sympathetically.
"Sorry, what was your name?" the Doctor asked her.
"My assistant and good friend, Chantho. A survivor of the Malmooth. This was their planet, Malcassairo, before we took refuge," the man said.
"The city outside, that was yours?" Freya asked, sadness falling over her.
"Chan the conglomeration died tho," Chantho said sadly.
"Conglomeration! That's what I said!" the Doctor said happily. Freya smacked him on the back of his head, earning a wince from him.
"We're so sorry. He's an idiot," Freya apologized.
"Oh. Right. Sorry," the Doctor amended, still rubbing the back of his head.
"You grew another hand?" Martha asked, speaking up for the first time in awhile.
"Hello again. Yeah. It's fine. Look, really, it's me," the Doctor said, waving at her.
"All this time and you're still full of surprises," Martha groused.
"Chan you are most unusual tho," Chantho said.
"Well," the Doctor said with a shrug.
"So what about those thing outside? The Beastie Boys? What are they? Because we need to get back out there," Jack said.
"We call them the Futurekind, which is a myth in itself, but it's feared they are what we will become unless we reach Utopia. And why do you need to get out there?" the man asked.
"My son is alone in our transportation. We have to get back to him before he wakes up alone," Freya said. The old man shook his head, but the Doctor spoke up before the old man could express some form of sympathy, sympathy Freya was not in the mood to receive.
"We'll get him. Don't worry. Now, Professor Yana, what is Utopia?" the Doctor asked.
"Oh, every human knows of Utopia. Where have you been?" Professor Yana asked, irritated.
"Bit of a hermit," the Doctor said
"A hermit with friends? And a family?" Yana asked in disbelief.
"Hermits United. We met ten years ago. We meet up every ten years and swap stories about caves. It's good fun…for a hermit. So, er, Utopia?" Professor Yana showed something on the computer to them.
"The call came from across the stars, over and over again. Come to Utopia. Originating from that point," Yana said as he pointed.
"Where is that?" the Doctor asked.
"Oh, it's far beyond the Condensate Wilderness, out towards the Wildlands and the Dark Matter reefs, calling us in. The last of the humans scattered across the night," Professor Yana said. Freya wandered away from them. She didn't want to hear any more. She wanted to find her son. She had to get back. She wandered around the room.
Behind her, there was a loud bang. She turned to see everything powering up. Everyone started bustling around quickly. Freya settled herself onto the couch, biting her fingernails as she did. Martha made her way out of the room and came back a few minutes later. A voice came from the coms.
"Professor, tell the Doctor we've found his blue box," the voice said. Freya was on her feet in an instant.
"Where is it?" Freya begged. She watched as it came on the screen. Her walkie-talkie sparked to life as Bad Wolf started crying.
"We're bringing it to you now," the comm voice said. Freya paced anxiously until they made it in the room, a group of them unloading the TARDIS.
Freya had her key in the door and was inside in a heartbeat. Her feet pounded down the hallway, coming to a stop as soon as she'd entered Bad Wolf's room. She cradled him carefully, rocking the child to sleep once more. She settled him back in the bed before making her way to the kitchen. He'd be awake again soon – he never stayed asleep the second time for long. When he woke up, he'd be hungry. She was in the middle of making him a bottle when her cell phone rang.
She pulled it out, flipping it open and tucking it into her shoulder and ear.
"Hello?" she asked.
"Freya! Are you in the TARDIS?" Jack's voice asked.
"Yeah. I'm taking care of Bad Wolf. What's happening out there?" Freya asked.
"I'm heading into a radiation chamber," Jack said.
"Why? Are you okay?" Freya asked.
"Everything will be. Yeah. Doc just wanted me to check up on you," Jack said, "Wait. I gotta go. Bye!"
Freya sighed and made her way back to the nursery, where Bad Wolf's eyes were opening and he was beginning to stir. Freya sat down and gave him a bottle. When she was done, she laid him back down and made her way to the console room. She needed to know what was going on, but she couldn't leave him again.
She had only entered the console room when she heard a scream and a loud zapping noise. Freya ran out of the TARDIS quickly, eyes wide.
Professor Yana had just dropped a cable as Chantho fell to the ground in a heap. Yana turned, his crazed eyes focusing on Freya.
"What are you doing?" Freya asked in horror.
"Getting rid of the pest. Now. You. You're different. How are you different?" Yana asked, edging closer. Freya took a step back, closer to the TARDIS. The open TARDIS door.
"What's going on?" Freya asked him. Professor Yana pulled out a gun, training it on her.
"You see, the Doctor's not the only Time Lord left now, which means there's no point in you being around to help revive us," Yana said gleefully.
A shot rang out, startling Freya. Yana jumped, his own gun going off. Freya felt pain blossom in her shoulder. She fell to the ground, gripping her shoulder. She threw herself up. There was a bang and Professor Yana stumbled as well, stumbling into the TARDIS. Freya stumbled herself into the TARDIS, barely managing it. She hid in the corner, watching as she held her shoulder tightly.
"I am the Master," she heard Professor say.
She drifted in and out, hearing the TARDIS go off and seeing flames go up on the console. Then she landed.
And there was a crying.
"What the hell is that?" Professor Yana muttered angrily. Only, he didn't look or sound like Professor Yana anymore. He did sound familiar though. She'd heard that voice before – she knew she had.
He stalked off, down the halls. After Bad Wolf. Freya stumbled to her feet, just as Lil' Red appeared in front of her.
She was older, about eleven. And she was tugging Freya out of the TARDIS.
"Come on, come on! We've got to hurry, before the Master comes back!" Lil' Red urged.
"But Bad Wolf! I have to save him!" Freya called.
"No! We have to get you out of here! He'll be fine. I promise. Come on!" Lil' Red said, pulling her along out of the TARDIS. Freya stumbled, wincing. Her shoulder was throbbing painfully.
"Come on! We have to hurry!" Lil' Red said. Freya stumbled after her carefully.
"Miss, are you alright?" a masculine voice asked as Lil' Red helped her stumble.
"Please, can you help us? My mom's been shot by an alien!" Lil' Red cried.
"An alien?" the voice asked. Freya managed to get a glimpse of the man.
Ianto Jones. The man who had watched Lil' Red a few times.
But he didn't seem to recognize either of them. So he didn't know them yet.
"Please! We're out of our time stream! I don't know where we are, but we can't be seen by anyone! And she's been shot!" Lil' Red cried.
"Hold on. I live just up the street. I work two streets down though," Ianto said.
"No! It'll mess with the time stream if they meet us!" Lil' Red cried.
"All of them?" Ianto asked as he helped Freya into his car. He tore his jacket off and pressed down on her wound.
"Hold that down, okay?" Ianto asked Lil' Red. Lil' Red pressed down on it.
"Just Jack. We can't meet Jack yet. Owen! Can I call Owen?" Lil' Red asked.
"Can I have your names first?" Ianto asked.
"I'm Lil' Red and this is my mom, Freya," Lil' Red said ask Ianto peeled out.
"How do you know Owen?" Ianto demanded.
"I know all of you. You guys raised me. Out of order, of course. But Jack can't know we're here, because we're with Jack right now!" Lil' Red explained as Ianto slammed the car to a halt. He shoved a mobile into Lil' Red's hands as he lifted Freya out of the car.
They were up in his apartment when she opened her eyes again. Lil' Red was talking quickly into a phone, and Ianto was pressing down on her shoulder.
The next thing she knew, the pain had faded. She was opening her eyes to see a man standing over her, bandaging her shoulder.
"She'll be fine. As soon as we get that blood transfusion, it'll all be great," the man said.
"Who are you?" Freya managed.
"I'm a bloody doctor, sweetheart. Now who the hell are you?" he asked her.
"Mom!" Lil' Red cried out. She practically jumped up on Freya, wrapping her thin arms around Freya's neck.
"Mom? She's not old enough for that," the man scoffed.
"Shut up Owen," Lil' Red demanded before placing her hand on Freya's stomach.
"Is little me okay?" Lil' Red whispered.
"Is my baby okay?" Freya managed, turning her attention back to the man Lil' Red had called Owen.
"Baby? You didn't say she was pregnant!" Owen hissed.
"I didn't know!" Ianto retorted angrily.
"She's gotta be okay partially. If she wasn't, I'd know," Lil' Red said, but she didn't look too sure.
"I think you owe me an explanation. I get a call from Tea Boy here and drop everything. I don't know why you are, why she calls you Mom, or anything about this. I'm getting Jack," Owen said.
"No! Please! Wait!" Freya called, wincing as she moved to try stopping him. Owen eyed her, his eyes glued to her bandaged shoulder.
"Please. I'll explain everything I can. Just…don't tell Jack," Freya said. Owen regarded her carefully before helping her into a sitting position. Lil' Red settled in right next to her.
"My name is Freya O'Leary…or Smith…or McCrimmon," Freya realized. Lil' Red giggled at her.
"And?" Owen asked.
"I'm travelling with the Doctor," Frey continued slowly. Ianto's eyes widened.
"The Doctor? Then you're….no," he said in disbelief.
"Yup! She's his wife!" Lil' Red said cheerfully.
"You're the Doctor's…wife," Ianto said.
"So what?" Owen asked.
"Don't you remember reading about Torchwood? The whole purpose of the organization was to protect her from the Doctor. That was the original reason for Torchwood's creation," Ianto explained.
"Yeah, and I'm sure she'd know that. Of course she'd say that's who she is," Owen complained. Ianto closed his eyes for a moment, his eyes moving beneath his eyelids.
"Yes. It's her. I recognize her from the photos," Ianto said.
"Oh?" Owen said snarkily.
"Eidetic memory," Ianto said with a shrug.
"So you're his wife, and you're his daughter. Why aren't you with him?" Ianto asked.
"We have a problem. A big problem, see? When are we? What time is it? Datewise?" Freya asked.
"End of 2006," Ianto said.
"What? But… Torchwood 1?" Freya asked.
"Fell a few months ago or so. It's almost Christmas," Ianto explained.
"Wait. Oh no. We're a year or so in the past. At least," Freya whispered in horror.
"That's all great and all, but we need more," Owen said.
"They can't tell us the future. Thank you for bandaging her for me. I'll take care of her. Just don't tell Jack," Ianto said.
"Fine. I'll tell Jack you need the day off. Say you're sick or something. I'll be back later to check on the wound," Owen said.
They stayed there for the night. Ianto let them have the bed.
They had no way of getting back to the Doctor and, well, after the Master had stolen the TARDIS, there was no way of him to get there. Ianto let them live with him, taking care of her as she stayed there with Lil' Red.
Ianto would come home each night sharing news of the Hub, of Jack and the team. Owen came by occasionally to check up on the bullet wound as it healed and kept an eye on the pregnancy.
As the months started to fly by, Freya was alarmed to see the Master's face all over the place.
The Master, and her baby.
He had claimed the baby as his son.
He was going by Harry Saxon and was slowly rising to power. And there was nothing Freya could do to stop it.
Ianto came back one day, telling about a new member of Torchwood, of Gwen Cooper, and the death of Suzie. Ianto had had Suzie come over one day to watch Freya when morning sickness got the better of her, so it hurt Freya to learn that Suzie had died.
Even more time went by. One day, Ianto came home in tears. Followed closely by Owen and Tosh, who Freya had only heard of before that. Tosh and Owen had been forced to check Ianto's home. Owen explained to Freya about the Cyberwoman Ianto had been hiding.
And that's how Tosh met Freya.
Freya hated it. She had to stay indoors all the time to avoid being seen when she was out there somewhere already.
Still, she enjoyed getting close to Ianto. She did not enjoy slowly getting larger.
It became clear, after a year of being trapped, that her pregnancy was going to be long just as the first one had been.
After awhile, Ianto was able to track down James and have him come down, once they were certain that they had passed the last time Freya had run into him. Ianto appreciated the help as well – it meant he was able to leave Freya when he was called into work without much worry.
When Ianto came back one day, letting them know that Jack had disappeared, Freya was thrilled. It meant she was able to at least breath fresh air for awhile. However, she still had to avoid the Master.
Unfortunately, it was only a few days later when she got the news.
The news that Harry Saxon, aka the Master, had been elected Prime Minister of Great Britain.
Sorry the end here may seem rushed, but I wanted to give you something. I didn't want to stretch it all out to a few chapters, when I probably could have.
Because I am anticipating question, I'll explain here. Freya cannot call the Doctor, and the Doctor cannot make his way to Earth during this time. The Master would have known. And he would have been following it. So with that knowledge, future regenerations would also avoid that time. That's why Freya's left there. And yes, Lil' Red stayed with Freya through this time. This is the oldest Freya has seen Lil' Red, by the end of this section, as of so far.
Let me know what you think, and I'll try not to make you wait as long for a chapter next time!
