Lies

I know I lied

Lied all the time

It hurt me to see their confusion.

I thought it would be nice

To be the one to see what they didn't.

See our destiny.

Black isn't fun

You don't know that

It's so frustrating

To not do what I always wanted to do.

I know it was my destiny

But it hurts

To lie to them

To not prepare them for what was ahead.
