"So, what's a hottie like you doing working at a bar?" Quinn asked, after being cut off from having any more drinks.

"Wow, you're nosy aren't you? And… did you just call me hot?" The barman replied, escaping a smile.

"Just tryna' make it look like you've got some friends, you're looking a bit lonely tonight. And, uhm… you said I wasn't bad looking, so I was just… returning the favour."

"I'm looking a bit lonely? How about you?" He chuckled slightly. "So, what's a hottie like you doing sitting at the bar all night? Why don't you go out dancing with your friends?"

"I'm not really the dancing type. I'd rather sit here all night."

"So why come out?"

"It was a group thing, I thought a night with the girls would've been great. But I just annoy everyone." Her tone lowered.

"You're not annoying me. I think you're becoming one of the most interesting girls I've ever met. And I hardly know you."

His compliment brought a smile to her face, which brought a smile to his face.

"That's a good thing, you don't wanna know me." She laughed nervously, trying to hide her insecurity.

"And why's that?" He moved his face closer to hers, studying her expression.

"I'm a mess."

Before he could reply, Mercedes had bounced over to Quinn, but continued dancing.

"Hey, we're leaving now," Mercedes said, before she turned and noticed the bartender. "Although, there seems to be something worth staying for…" She wolf whistled, then held out her hand. "Mercedes Jones,"

The bartender politely shook her hand, but blushed at her earlier comment. Quinn giggled quietly, before standing up off the school and began pulling Mercedes away. Mercedes winked and air-kissed the bartender, while still being pulled backwards.

"Aren't you going to give him your number?" Mercedes whispered to Quinn.

"Nah. I'll bet $10 that he's just another player who uses alcohol and charm to pick up girls." She whispered back, as they walked further and further away from the bar.

"It was nice talking to you!" The barman shouted, a little goof-ier than he'd hoped.

As he watched her walk away, he couldn't help but smile. There was something interesting about this girl he'd just met. He might never even see her again. He didn't even get her name.
