"You're looking beautiful today, y'know that," Puck reached for Quinn's hand, never breaking their gaze. He entwined their fingers and took a step closer to her. She couldn't help but smile as he moved closer and closer, until he was only centimetres away from her. Without giving it a second thought, she stood on her tip-toes to reach him better, and crashed their lips together. Sparks fizzed and popped around them. She'd never felt anything so magical or perfect. And in that moment, the only sentence that entered her mind was "You have no idea how much I needed that."

BEEP. BEEP. BEEP.

Quinn jumped up at the harsh sound of her alarm. She sat up, rubbed her eyes and looked around her. At first, confusion flooded her mind, until she remembered the previous night. She had a throw flung over her, and was still wearing the clothes that Puck had leant her. She slowly pulled the throw off her and stood up to stretch. She gazed out the window to see quite a nice day; a fairly bright sky and, strangely, no rain. The streets were still full of puddles, but they wouldn't take long to dry up.

Puck forced a cough, hoping not to scare her. She turned around to see him standing against the doorway, looking far more awake than she did. He was wearing cream cargo shorts, with a fitting black t-shirt that clung to his muscles perfectly. Quinn tried not to stare, but with abs like that, it was near enough impossible.

"How come I slept here?" She asked, avoiding all awkward silences and 'hellos'.

"Well, I left the room for a moment, and when I came back, you were fast asleep. I tried waking you, but man, you sleep like a log." He laughed. "I know it's a little weird, but-"

"No, no it's fine. I'd better be getting to school, so, uh," She walked back over to the sofa and began looking for her clothes from the day before. Noticing her searching, he pulled a bundle of clothes off the radiator. He handed them to her, and she took them, feeling more self conscious about undressing than she did the night before.

"Could I, uh, use your bathroom, y'know…" She held the clothes and gestured towards the direction of his bathroom, which she used the previous night.

"Oh, yeah, sure."

After a few minutes, she came out, looking just as she did the night before. She freshened up a bit, as she looked like death when she woke up. She smiled and handed him the clothes he leant her.

"Uh, do you need a lunch or something like that?" He asked nervously.

"Haha, no thanks, it's not my first day. I already told you, I'm nearly eighteen." She laughed slightly at his nerves; dealing with a schoolgirl who spent the night is obviously something he wasn't used to.

"Sure, yeah, ok." He stuttered. "Look, Quinn, uhm, about last night, you staying the night-" He started, before she interrupted his rambling speech.

"Look, Puck, its cool. You were doing me a favour, 'cos there was a storm."

"I know, but I just wanted to make sure you weren't… expecting-"

"We barely know each other. This was just one stranger helping out another stranger." She convinced him, as she put on her black leather jacket and pulled her hair out the back of it.

"Yeah, of course." He said, convincing himself. "So, uh, I'll see you around?" He put out his hand, hoping for Quinn to shake it. She looked down at his hand and forced a smile.

"You're a great guy. So if you're lucky, you'll never see me again." And with that, she turned and left his apartment, leaving a confused Puck, still holding his hand out, strangely wanting to find out more about the mystery that is Quinn Fabray.
