"How could you not tell me you enrolled again?" Quinn really felt like she was going to turn into a blubbering baby in any minute. Kurt grabbed Blaine and gestured to Tina that they give Quinn and Puck some space. Tina pulled Mike in the same direction as Kurt and Blaine, which prompted Mercedes and Sam to follow. Santana was too engrossed in their conversation and had the same look on her face when she watched her favourite soap. If Rachel hadn't forced her over to the car park where everyone else was waiting, she could've stayed there watching all night.

"I wanted to, I tried, but I just couldn't tell you,"

"You didn't try very hard did you?!"

"It wasn't that easy,"

"What? Telling me, or making the decision to go?"

"Don't, don't say that. I enrolled before I met you,"

"When do you leave?" Quinn moved on to the next question, needing answers. Puck's eyes shifted to the ground. He remained silent while she waited. "When do you leave?" She repeated impatiently.

"Monday." He muttered, leaving his head dangling.

"What?"

"Deployment's on Monday morning." She raised his head and looked longingly into her sad eyes.

"As in, three days?" Her eyes filled with tears.

"I'm sorry," Was all he could manage. He knew that if she started crying, so would he. His voice could barely be heard. She tried to subtly rub her eyes, which were now streaming with tears.

"Don't," Puck reached out a hand to her cheek, attempting to caress it and sooth her, but she felt so far away from him in that moment.

"No, no." She moved back from him and gently shook her head. "Since you're already walking away from me, I'll just do it three days earlier." She choked, her eyes now red and puffier than they'd ever been. Before he could even register what she'd said, she ran off to the car park.

She ran past the others, who were gazing sympathetically at her. Rachel stood staring at the floor, the guilt swallowing her whole by now.

"Quinn, don't leave," Sam started, when everyone else felt too out-of-place to comment. Quinn felt her pockets until she pulled out Puck's car keys from her back jeans pocket. She wiped her nose with the back of her hand and sniffed as she attempted to put the keys in the lock. Tears rolled down her cheeks as her fumbling fingers dropped the keys.

"Quinn, this is meant to be a fun weekend," Mercedes made her way over to Quinn and picked up the keys from the ground. "You'll feel better later, just cool off, take a break-" Quinn took the keys from Mercedes' hands and quickly unlocked the door and slid into the car.

She needed to get as far away from everyone as possible. She was now truly alone.
