It was 4am and she could feel her eyes drifting to a close very so often. But she forced them open, she wouldn't waste the minimal time she had in dreams, even though they would be better than reality.

She was snuggled into Puck, so close she could feel his heart beating. He brought her back to his place, with the idea that she wanted some rest. But he knew she was in no state for a disagreement, so he relinquished and simply let her sit with him.

She tried to not let herself think about him leaving. Knowing that he wasn't going to be there for Graduation, or even her birthday made her want to cry herself silly again, but by that point, she was physically cried out.

He was going for ten months. She supposed that was better than her first presumption; she assumed it would've been a year.

But it was still ten months she had to be away from him. After knowing him for only twelve days, she felt idiotic for imagining the next ten months unbearable. But she couldn't help it, this was love like she didn't know was possible.

"You need to sleep." She heard him whisper. Her droopy eyes kept blinking, but she made no sound. She didn't want to be separated from him, not yet, even if it was just in another room.

"I'll sleep when you're gone."

Normally, his stubborn nature would force him to challenge her, but he couldn't bring himself to do it.

"Want to go for a walk?" Puck asked as he sat up, stretching. He and Quinn had fallen asleep on the sofa. Quinn yawned and sat up too.

"Sure, just let me change." She pulled herself up and made her way to his bedroom. Over the past couple of days, she brought some clothes from Mercedes' and kept them at Puck's, since she was spending most of her time there.

A couple of minutes later, she came out wearing one of her flower dressed and she ran a hand through her slightly tangled hair. On only a few hours of sleep, she still took his breath away.

Ten minutes later, and with a new shirt on Puck, the couple left his apartment and strolled down the street.

She felt so safe with her hand in his. It was a bright day, with a blazing sun. The world seemed so much happier to her today; she could hear the birds chirping, the rustling of leaves and the smell of freshly cut grass floating in the air. Everyone she walked past, she smiled at.

Every so often, the thought of Monday crossed her mind. It was like a black cloud that was looming over her, determined to ruin the summers day. She couldn't even picture how she was going to feel on Monday, so she just had to push the painful thought out of her mind, and live in the moment.

"What d'you fancy doing?" Puck asked as he and Quinn lay on the grass in the park. Quinn was on her back with her eyes closed, she looked so peaceful.

"Nothing. I just want to stay here, with you."

"You've gotta stop being so lame and cheesy," He laughed, sitting up.

"It's lame that I'm gonna miss you?" Her eyes remained closed, but every so often her chest lifted as she inhaled the cool summer air.

"It's lame that you're so boring! Let's go somewhere! Let's do something!"

"I want to lie here, with you."

"Quinn, I'm leaving for a few months, I'm not dying." He told her with a laugh, but moments after he said it he knew his choice of words weren't the best.

"Doesn't it occur to you that people actually die in the army?" She sat up. "Do you know that there's a chance you won't come back?" She forced herself to look at the ground instead of him.

"Of course, but I lasted once, I'll do it again-"

"But what if you don't?" Her hazel eyes drifted up to his, fluttering open and closed with exhaustion and attempts to stop the tears. "I can't do this without you," Her lips quivered as her eyes reddened.

"Yes you can." He pulled himself over to her and kneeled in front of where she sat. "I know you can. But you won't have to."

"No-one understands me like you do. No-one listens, or cares… or wants me." He pulled her close into his chest with his strong arms covered around her. He could feel her crying into his chest. Gently, he kissed her head and remained there for several moments.

"Stay there," He whispered as he stood up, looked around for several seconds, then ran over to the fountain. He gained the looks of many bystanders as he jumped onto the ledge of the fountain.

Quinn wiped her tears on the back of her hand and stood up. She noticed him calling over people from different directions, all seeming confused, but intrigued.

She felt like a princess by what happened next. Her boyfriend was stood by the glistening water, surrounded by a crowd gathering and odd people who began playing clicking their fingers or clapping in time. Everyone fell silent. Next he did something that made her melt every time.

You know I'd fall apart without you
I don't know how you do what you do
'Cause everything that don't make sense about me
Makes sense when I'm with you
Like everything that's green, girl I need you
But it's more than one and one makes two
Put aside the math and the logic, of it
You gotta know you're wanted too

Puck jumped down off the step and slowly began walking down the cobbled path in the direction of Quinn, while everyone's engrossed eyes remained on him and his voice. Suddenly, a by-standing guitar player followed behind Puck, playing perfectly to the tone of his voice.

'Cause I wanna wrap you up
Wanna kiss your lips
I wanna make you feel wanted
And I wanna call you mine
Wanna hold your hand forever
Never let you forget it
Yeah, I wanna make you feel wanted

By the end of the chorus, he had already reached Quinn and was spinning her round. To him, they were the only two people in the world, and everyone else was irrelevant.

Anyone can tell you you're pretty
You get that all the time, I know you do
But your beauty's deeper than the make-up
And I wanna show you what I see tonight

When I wrap you up
When I kiss your lips
I wanna make you feel wanted
And I wanna call you mine
Wanna hold you
r hand forever

Never let you forget it
'Cause baby I wanna make you feel wanted

He ran back over to the fountain (and all eyes remained on him) as he started dancing in time with several other men.

As good as you make me feel
I wanna make you feel better
Better than your fairy tales
Better than your best dreams
You're more than everything I need
You're all I ever wanted
All I ever wanted

And I just wanna wrap you up
Wanna kiss your lips
I wanna make you feel wanted
And I wanna call you mine
Wanna hold your hand forever
Never let you forget it
Yeah, I wanna make you feel wanted
Yeah, baby I wanna make you feel -
Wanted
'Cause you'll always be wanted

And in that moment for the first time ever, she truly felt wanted.
