I am in the process of writing some new stories, this time, on some couples I've never written before so I wanted to challenge myself. I got asked awhile back from a few readers if I've ever considered writing for 'Electrick' (Patrick/Elizabeth). I have taken up that request and am now 7 chapters into that story. I am planning on having 10 chapters written (and proofed by my beta) before I start to post them. I noticed a few stories on Michael Corinthos/Starr Manning and got inspired. My third new story is on Johnny Zacchara/Elizabeth. I am not as far into those two (only 4 chapters so far). If any of you are fans of any of those 'couples', I hope you will let me know so I have an idea on how many possible readers I would have. If you have never heard of them or not sure on them, I ask that you give them a chance because who knows? You may find you enjoy them. But, I will leave that up to you. I will give you a heads up when I'm ready to post, but if you are following me or are on my favorites list, you will also know when the story is out. Here is the next update.

Patrrinalove14: Thanks for the review! As you could see I was trying to keep you and everyone else in suspense and it looks like it worked. hehe. I hope to continue the story for a long time as well. I feel bad I can't update it regularly, though, but hope you understand I will never give up on this story.

Chapter 10
(Sabrina could tell Patrick was nervous, but she didn't know why. He had no problem speaking in front of people so that couldn't be it. He always did well with patients and in the ER. She smiled at him to try to relieve his anxiety)
Sabrina: "Are you okay, Dr. Drake?"
Patrick: (chuckles softly) "Sabrina, I think we've known each other long enough where you are able to call me Patrick."
Sabrina: (nods & chuckles) "True, but I don't want to risk getting in trouble for not being professional."
Patrick: (puzzled) "Who would you get in trouble with?"
Sabrina: "Well, for starters, Nurse Johnson."
Patrick: (leans his head forward) "Epiphany?" (smiles) "I assure you, Sabrina, she's done it before and has never gotten into trouble. Yes, it's professional to do it as well as around the higher ups, but you will be fine."
Sabrina: "Okay." (smiles) "Sounds good."
Patrick: (smiles) "Do you trust me?"
(Sabrina smiles sweetly at her colleague who she has come to care for dearly)
Sabrina: "With my life." (clears her throat nervously) "I mean, yes, of course."
Patrick: (chuckles) "Sounds good."
(Patrick looks at her directly in the eyes and smiles, making her feel like the most beautiful woman in the world)
Patrick: "I will always be here for you. No matter where we are in life, I hope we will always be friends."
(Sabrina looks at him in confusion as she got the impression he meant more than friends. Maybe she read him wrong or misunderstood him. She would have felt like an idiot if she questioned him on it. She smiles at him politely)
Sabrina: "I hope we will always be friends, too."
(Sabrina is about to walk away when Patrick gently grabs her arm, causing her to look at him in confusion)
Sabrina: "I-I don't understand. Did I say something wrong?"
Patrick: (shakes his head) "No, you didn't say or do anything wrong. I did."
Sabrina: (turns her head slightly) "What do you mean?"
Patrick: (chuckles nervously) "Sorry, I'm not very good at this. I haven't done this since Robin."
Sabrina: (trying to understand) "Done what?"
Patrick: "Express myself to a woman other than Robin."
Sabrina: "I thought you already did that when you said you hope we will always be friends."
Patrick: "Yeah, ummm..." (chuckles nervously) "I'm sorry that I'm having trouble saying this."
(Patrick and Sabrina are both surprised by her next move as she softly touches his cheek with her hand and caresses it slightly)
Sabrina: "You never have to be nervous around me, Patrick. Truth be told, I may be great friends with Elizabeth and Felix, but I have always felt a special connection with you." (chuckles a little) "I don't know if that sounds stupid or not."
(Patrick takes a moment to feel her warm hand on his cheek and briefly closes his eyes. He honestly felt like he could stay in this moment forever, but knew that was impossible. He looks at the brave, beautiful, and loving woman before him and smiles at her)
Patrick: "It doesn't sound stupid at all. To be honest, I feel a special connection with you, as well. You light up my life in ways I always thought would continue to be dark. I feel like I can tell you anything and you won't judge, no matter how silly."
Sabrina: (smiles slightly) "And here I thought it was always silly that I still grieve for my mother every day."
Patrick: "If you think it's silly, than I must be silly too because I will never forget Robin." (tilts her head) "Yes, I still love her, but you made me see that it's okay to feel again."
Sabrina: (slight smile) "I do, huh?"
Patrick: (nods) "Yes, you do. I may have said I hope we will always be friends, but honestly? I'm hoping what we feel..."
(Patrick's words are interrupted when Elizabeth rushes to him)
Liz: "Patrick, sorry to interrupt, but there was a two car pileup and we need your assistance with the injured patients."
(Elizabeth glances at Sabrina and could tell she interrupted a close moment between the two)
Liz: "I'm sorry if I interrupted anything."
(Patrick and Sabrina quickly glance at each other before he knew he was needed by the patients that just arrived. As much as he wanted to stay and continue the conversation with Sabrina, he knew it needed to wait. Sabrina offered him a smile and reassured him she wasn't upset and told him it was time to tend to the patients. As Elizabeth walks away, Patrick stops Sabrina and looks at her in determination)
Patrick: "We will pick up this conversation once everything settles down, I promise."
(Sabrina smiles in response as she briefly touches his arm)
Sabrina: "Don't worry. I know we will. I'm not worried."
(They both nod as they head to the exam rooms to help the patients)
