Natsu POV –

The big spring party was coming, it was a mess around this time. He sat there looking through his bangs at her, not in a creepy way. Okay, maybe in a creepy way, but he didn't mean for it to be creepy. He'd been behaving this way the entire spring and he knew Lucy had started to notice. He had actually refrained from cutting his bangs just so he could hide behind them as he glared at her. He was impulsive, yes. But there was just something about this that made it seem like he needed to take it slow and just… watch. Like a creep. He liked it the most when she was bossing around people. He knew Lucy had been really suspicious of him lately so he would keep his distance. Well, he'd still be close enough for him to be able to see her and sniff her. Well not like a creep… oh what the hell, who was he trying to kid. He acted like a creep because he didn't know how else to act. He didn't really have any training in this. In the beginning of spring Natsu had been curious about what this was about. He had gotten closer to her, invaded her personal space, more than he used to and that somehow got Lucy on edge. He didn't really see the issue with him being close to her, it's not like it was any weird. Then. Now it would be weird, it felt weird for Natsu too. He didn't really know what this was about, but he wasn't in any kind of hurry of figuring it out. He wanted to be keep the friendship he had with Lucy and not to mess it up. But hey, he didn't really see the problem with him being with her always, it's not like it's any different than before. While watching her he had noticed a few new thing about her that he hadn't noticed before. Like how she scratched her arm when she didn't know what to do next, or how she bit her lip when she struggled hard on something. He found himself smiling whenever she did it, he couldn't help it. Fuck, he really felt like he would go insane if he didn't get to see that every day.
"Natsu, are you not going to help her? It looks like she's stuck." A voice said behind him. He jumped a little when he hadn't heard Mira-Jane getting close to him. He had been so focused on watching Lucy.
"She's doing your job, you help her!" he said and crossed his arms over his chest. He felt his heart beat a little quicker than it usually beat.
"Well, since Erza is gone she said she'd do this and I would be in charge of the food and drinks." Mira-Jane smiled at Natsu.
"Then why are you telling me to help her, I didn't volunteer or anything, it's a pain in the ass." Natsu muttered.

"Just looking at her working hard is almost like a mockery Natsu, she could make good use of you." She smiled and patted Natsu on the back. He huffed and stood, not wanting to risk Mira-Jane noticing.

"I'll take a ride." He said and walked towards his garage. He was just beginning to feel good about not sitting and watching Lucy when she called his name. Fuck, he managed to think before he turned and waited as she walked towards him. His heart skipped a beat, she was going to be really close. "What's up Luce?" he asked, trying not to sound weird. He got a little dizzy as she got closer. That was not good, he didn't know what the hell was going on and he didn't know if he liked it or not.

"Do you mind helping me with something?" she said and sounded a little out of breath.
"Look, it looks really fun decoration the rooms but…"
"No not that." Lucy said and smiled wide. "You'd mess it up anyway." She said and waived her hand back and forth. "My bike, the ignition is acting all strange again, and I can't tell like if it's burnt or if it's just trying to ruin my summer." She said and sighed.

"Oh, yeah! That's no problem." Natsu grinned wide and the dizziness added when Lucy's face lit up.

Standing beside her bike Natsu sighed and looked around it for a while, he then put his face towards the ignition and sniffed. It didn't take just one sniff like it usually did, Lucy had some kind of thick smell lingering to her that made it hard for him to smell other things. But finally he realized the issue and sighed.
"It's burnt." He said and dragged his hand through his hair. "I'll change it for you if you want, I know you have a lot going on with all the decorating." He said and grinned wide.
"Really!?" she breathed and her face lit up once more. Natsu nodded and tried to act like it was no big deal and shrugged. "I'd do it myself but like you said… really busy!" she said and pointed at the doors. Natsu grinned wide and had to take a step back not to fall. "Hey, are you okay?" Lucy asked when she saw him almost fall.
"I'm good." Natsu said. "You should go back out, they're awaiting you orders. I'll fix that in no time!" He said and held up his thumb to reassure her.
"You're a lifesaver!" she grinned and gave him a quick hug and ran out. Natsu stood there for a while, like he had been struck by lightning. He couldn't move for a good while.
