Levy POV -
It had gotten dark and Levy was waiting in her apartment for Gajeel, he hadn't said which time he'd pick her up, Levy wasn't really sure he had said that he would pick her up, but she had a vague memory of them planning to go to this party together. Levy sighed and looked at herself in the mirror. She wasn't really done yet, so she was glad Gajeel hadn't come yet. She had thought about wearing one of her more colourful dresses, but she had realized they were all really short, and after yesterday she didn't want to seem like she was trying. But she had made up her mind to put on of those dresses anyway, plus a pair of nice tights and some nice high boots. All that was left was her hair and face. She didn't like to have so much makeup on so she tried to keep it simple, some eyeliner, mascara and lip-gloss would have to do. Now her hair. Just as she was going to trying to tame her wild curls there was a harsh knock on the door. She ran towards it and opened it and smiled wide at Gajeel who stood in the doorway. He looked at her and raised an eyebrow.
"What?" she said and pulled a little on the skirt of the dress.
"Nothing." He said and smiled as he pressed past her into her apartment. "Small." He said and looked around. "Are you done?" he asked and put his hands in his pockets.
"No, I have my hair left." She said and pointed at it like it was obvious.
"What's wrong with it now?" He asked and looked at her for a long while before he started to look around again.
"It's messy." She said as she walked towards her bathroom.
"Mine's always messy." Gajeel pointed out.
"That's why you have knots in your hair and I don't." she called. "How's the bike?"
"The bike is good, it aint got any tangles anymore." He said. "Switched conditioner and all…" Levy laughed and poked her head out of the bathroom.
"I think that's the first time I've head you make a joke." She smiled.
"I'm actually pretty funny." Gajeel said and sat down in one of her chairs. Levy smiled wide and laughed a little. She was thankful the Gajeel was not in a hurry. She didn't know what to do more than what she usually did with her hair, and she was going to ride on a motorcycle anyway, so the hair would be all messy when they got there.
"Are coming from home or the club?" Levy called as she tied the ribbon in her hair.
"Club." Gajeel answered.
"Oh, have any guests arrived yet?"
"No idea, we had a meeting and then I got here." He said and yawned a little.
"Aha." She said and walked out to him. "All done." She smiled wide. Gajeel looked at her for a while and sighed deep.
"Good." He said and opened the door for Levy. "Don't forget to lock the door, you don't want any crooks sneaking in here." He said when she walked past him.
"What crooks where you thinking about?" she laughed. "There are just old folks that live in this building." She smirked.
"Well, after you've gotten home on a stunning bike and taken off on the same one in a really short dress, the crooks will come crawling." Gajeel said and grabbed the jacket she had borrowed from him the other day. When he put it over her shoulder he laughed a little and shook his head. "My jacket's longer than your dress shorty." He cackled as they walked towards the parked bike. Levy blushed hard and looked up at Gajeel.
"I can go change if you're going to be an ass about it." She muttered.
"I didn't say I didn't like it." He laughed and started the engine on his bike. Levy sat in front of Gajeel like last time and once again she felt a little safe and when the engine roared away on the road a huge smile spread over her face.
The drive to the club wasn't that long and Levy didn't even have the time to get cold even though it was about same kind of weather outside today. Gajeel parked the bike among the others, there were a lot of bikes there. But Levy really liked Gajeel's the most. It looked most authentic somehow. Gajeel started to walk towards the edge of the building.
"Hey, where are you going?" Levy asked when she started to walk towards the entrance.
"I'll meet you inside, I need to look into something before." He said and gave her a smile. It looked a little strained and Levy wondered what it was about.
"Alright." She said and walked towards the entrance and met up with some of her friends and smiled wide at them. In the crowd she saw Lucy sitting on the table and laughing loudly. Levy excused herself from her other friends and walked over to her bestie.
"Hey." She said loud enough for Lucy to hear her over all the noise.
"Hi!" Lucy grinned wide and hugged Levy and pulled her next to her on the table. "What do you want to drink, it's my treat!" Levy grinned wide.
"I'll take whatever you have, you seem to be having a good time."
"I am!" she laughed and handed Levy a glass. Beside Lucy sat a few more of the female members of the club, Juvia had obviously had too much to drink already and was sobbing something about lost loves. Mira-Jane was sipping on something, most likely something containing alcohol and besides her sat Cana and seemed untouched by the alcohol as usual.
Levy, Lucy, Cana, Juvia and Mira-Jane had been drinking and taking, they were laughing so their tears were ruining their makeup. Levy hadn't seen any of their male buddies since she came there, but it didn't matter she had the time of her life with her friends.
