Gajeel
"Lucy did good right, I could never do that, I'm not sure where she went though, she and Natsu went off somewhere." Levy talked. There was no stopping her. But Gajeel didn't mind. He had had some drinks by now and he was feeling very good. The edge of being around Levy was dulled. Not in a bad way though. He could still smell her, as well as any day. She had sobered up a little, and as she her scent came crawling back. But now it was different, it was not as strong and irresistible. He still wanted her for sure, but he could smell something more. Something that he knew all too well, the scent of iron. The scent of himself on her. It soothed him, she smelled of him. She had crawled up against him and closed her eyes for some time. He was starting to wonder if she had fallen asleep. Maybe he should take her to the member's room and lay her in one of the beds. He was just about to lift her up when Natsu flew over the room in a big ball of light.
"Fuck." Gajeel breathed and patted Levy's head. "Shorty, let's get you out of here." He said and grinned.
"Yeah, you too!" she smiled and looked around. "Hey, wait a minute, that's Loke." Levy said and looked puzzled. "Oh no, what did Natsu do now." She said and started running of.
"Hey!" He yelled after her and started to follow her but got socked in the face by one of Loke's ball of lights. Irritated he threw a brick of metal towards Loke. But a fist hit him in the face. Gajeel swirled around and met Natsu's face. Gajeel furrowed his brows and dodged another punch. Natsu could look really fierce when fighting. Nothing that Gajeel would ever admit, though. But the look on Natsu now, was everything but fierce. It was scary. His eyes had turned a glowing version of his usual eyes. His face was twisted in a snarl and his teeth were bared like a beasts. He looked dangerous and intimidating. Hands curved like claws he tried to get a hold of Gajeels neck. "Fucking hell, you really are unaware of shit." He cursed and threw Natsu away.
The rest of the bar scrambled away, it was the usual drill when the dragon slayers were engaging into brawls. It did feel like this was something more than just a bar brawl. Gajeel lunged towards Natsu and pinned him down on the floor. But only for a second. Natsu threw them around so he was on top and he hissed. He actually hissed. Gajeel was more stunned than scared. He figured that this was what they had talked about earlier when he got to know that Natsu had had some kind of meltdown. He'd gone feral and it was not becoming him. Gajeel sighed and punched Natsu in the stomach with a fist made of iron. He budged for a second and that gave Gajeel all the time he needed to throw Natsu across the room.
"Fire brain!" he yelled and threw away a chair that had placed itself in his way. Stupid chair. "You're fucking things up. You need to help her not drain her by fightin' her spirit. Relax and just stop this, your ignorance is fuckin irritating." Gajeel yelled and threw another chair away.
"You don't know what she needs!" Natsu growled and attacked Gajeel. He could see Loke steady Lucy and he saw Levy there by her side. They walked slowly towards the member's rooms and left Natsu for him. Woo-fucking-hoo. This was really not what he wanted, he was done with fighting with Natsu. He corrected himself. He was done getting beat up and then beating Natsu up, thus spending many days unable to fix the bike, ride it or do anything worth wile.
"She's getting help from Levy." Gajeel growled back.
"She doesn't need help from anyone but me." Natsu howled and threw a burning fist towards Gajeel.
"Get it through your head idiot. Right now you are the problem." Gajeel said and grabbed Natsu by the collar of his shirt and dragged him outside where they had more space to move around on.
"You don't know what you are talking about!" Natsu yelled and kicked Gajeel over the jaw. It hurt for a while but the irritation that he had to be dragged into this was enough to drown the pain. He wanted to help Natsu, they were friends after all. Even if they didn't say it out loud. They didn't really want to hurt each other. But sometimes it was the only way. He knew that they needed to stick together with these kinds of stuff, tough stuff that kind of only affected them. Fuck, how would it be when Wendy got here and they had to stop her from going all feral like Natsu because she didn't understand what happened. No way in hell was he going to beat her. No way in hell.
The fists flew for a long time before Gajeel, with the help of Gray and Mira held Natsu down long enough for him to cool down. Shortly after that he passed out. If it was from all the punches or the drinking was unclear. But Gajeel knew that he too would like to just pass out. He helped Gray carry Natsu back to his room, where they ran into the girls. Lucy was out cold and was sleeping in Levy's lap. Levy was sleeping as well, but she stirred when they walked in. She smiled at him and his chest felt tighter. He felt envious of Lucy, he wanted to be there, have Levy take care of him instead. But he needed to get Natsu in is bed and then he needed to be there when he woke up so he could explain what was happening to him.
"She's been asking for him." Levy said and smiled. "She said that he owed her some answers." She giggled.
"The only thing I got out of that idiot was growls and punches." Gajeel scoffed. "I can't say that I don't understand how he feels, going all insane around Lucy. But man is it a pain in the ass, he's even dumber than I thought he was." Gajeel said and offered to lift Lucy. Levy didn't seem like she was listening fully to what Gajeel was saying, and he didn't really mind it. Her face was filled with concern for Lucy and he knew that as long as Lucy was passed out she'd be worried.
"She need to sleep, can you get her a bed or something?" Levy asked. Her voice was filled with concern. God he loved how good she was.
"I can put her next to the idiot." He said and grinned wide.
"No!" Levy said sternly.
"I was making a joke." Gajeel said and lifted Lucy up. "She smells really messed up." Gajeel said and sighed. "Did ya'll make her drink some water?" he asked and walked up the stairs to the loft they used for the guests. She wasn't a member here, but she was here almost as much, or more, than some of the members. Gajeel thought that she should have a room, as well as Levy. Well, perhaps not Levy. He would want her in his bed at all times, but that was beside the point.
"Yea, Loke called Aquarius and she scolded Lucy for a good minute before she helped her. That's one of the reasons why she's so calm." Levy said and smiled. "And I also hexed her to sleep." She said and blushed.
"You're full of surprises." Gajeel said when he tucked Lucy in. Levy giggled.
"Wanna go back to the party or do you want to sleep?"
"I'm going where you're going." Gajeel said and placed his hands on her cheek. "You need to take care of me woman, I'm hurt." He said and grinned wide. He wasn't lying, his jaw ached like hell and he really wanted to just hold her, and wait for her to sober up fully and make her his.
"Really?" she said and placed her hands on his chest. "And here I thought that you were made of iron." She smirked and kissed him softly.
