Wade sighed as he walked in the front door of his house. He was happy to be home, but at the same time he didn't really want to face Allie when she got home from work. Things had been tense between them the past few days. Their usual long phone calls had been turned into short five minute calls. He sat on the couch and waited for her to get home so they could talk.

After what felt like forever, Allie walked through the front door. She was exhausted. Luckily Dean agreed to keep Maddie until the morning. Making her way to the kitchen she didn't even notice Wade was home yet. She reached in the fridge and pulled out her favorite wine. She was planning on pouring herself a glass and head upstairs to soak in a bath.

"Allie" Wade said when he entered the kitchen.

Screaming, Allie jumped and turned around "Wade, I didn't know you were home yet." she said clutching her chest.

"I didn't mean to scare you. I think we should talk."

Sighing, Allie closed her eyes "Wade, I'm tired. Can this wait until morning?"

"No, it can't." he walked over to Allie and gently took her hand in his. "Is everything ok?"

"Of course. Why would anything be wrong?"

Wade placed a finger under her chin and made her look at him "Because you seem different. You won't look at me. We have barely talked the last few days."

Tears started forming in Allie's eyes. "You're right. There is something wrong. I'm starting to have second thoughts about our relationship"

Wade let his hand drop "What are you talking about?"

"Dean and I have been hanging out a lot together the past few days while he has been getting to know Maddie. I feel like I'm falling in love with him all over again."

Wade had tears streaming down his face "So you're going to throw away almost four years together? Was I just convenient for you? Was I just someone to hold his place, keep you warm until he decided to come back?" he wiped his face.

"No, Wade. I was so in love with you. You helped me through my pregnancy. You are amazing with Maddie and she loves you so much. You were my best friend. When we got engaged that was the happiest day of my life. But then Dean came back into my life and things started changing. Sure he was a jerk at first. But then he started turning back into the guy I first met."

"So, what now? You're just gonna give up on us? Are you even still in love with me? Were you EVER in love with me?"

Before she could answer, the doorbell rang. She grabbed a paper towel and wiped her eyes and face. When she got to the door and opened it she found Dean on the other side "Dean, now is not a good time." she said quietly.

Frowning, Dean cupped her face "What's wrong? Why are you crying?"

"Where is Maddie?" Allie asked, noticing their daughter wasn't with him.

Dean jerked his thumb towards his car and Allie saw Roman was in the car. "She's asleep. He came into town this morning. She is already calling him Uncle Roman." Dean said laughing softly.

"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING HERE?" Wade yelled when he saw Dean standing at the front door.

"Not that it's any of your business, but I came to get Maddie's stuffed monkey and blanket."

"This is all your fault. Allie is leaving me because of you."

"Good for her. An asshole like you doesn't deserve an amazing woman like Allie. You should consider yourself lucky she even let you near her."

"You son of a bitch, I'm going to kill you" Wade lunged at Dean, hitting him in the jaw.

Allie screamed "Wade, stop." she went over to Dean to check on him. She gently placed her hand on his jaw.

"I'm ok Al." Dean said as Roman stepped out of the car, making sure no more trouble was going to happen.

Wade was furious he saw red. He pushed Allie out of the way and proceeded to lay into Dean. He knocked Dean to the ground and hit him over and over again.

"Roman help." Allie yelled as she went over and tried to pull Wade off Dean.

"Allie, don't..." Roman tried to tell her not to get involved but it was too late.

Allie grabbed Wade by the arm, and without realizing who it was he hit her in the eye.

"What the fuck did you do?" Roman ran over and checked on Allie who was laying on the ground holding her eye.

Wade instantly calmed down "Oh my God, Allie I'm..." he started going over to her but stopped when he saw nothing but fear in her eyes. She got as close to Roman as she could.

Dean got up from the ground "I suggest you get the fuck away from here. You're not a man I want anywhere near my daughter."

"Fuck all of you. I'll come back later for my stuff. I don't need right now." Wade went to his car and got in before speeding off.

Dean went over and helped Allie up. "Rome, can you get Maddie out of the car? I'm going to take Allie inside and help her get washed up and changed before I take her to the hospital."

"Of course man."

Dean took Allie inside and up to her room. He helped her get changed into comfortable clothes and washed her face. He saw a bruise start to form. He leaned in and placed a soft kiss on the bruise.

Dean made sure Roman stayed at Allie's with Maddie while he took Allie to the emergency room. When they got there, a nurse told them the wait would be a while, but she gave Allie an ice pack to hold on her eye while Dean helped her fill out some forums.

After a couple of hours they finally call Allie back to a room. A nurse came in and took some blood and urine sample and ran some standard tests. They took some x-rays of her cheek to make sure there were no broken bones. After all tests were done the nurse told Allie a doctor would be with her shortly.

"Hello, I'm Dr. Davis. You must be Allie." the doctor said when he came into the room. "Well Ms. Levesque, bad news is, you're going to have a nasty bruise for a while, but the good news is, it looks like you have no broken bones."

"Oh thank God." Allie let out a sigh of relief.

"I need to ask, what happened?"

"I tried breaking up a fight between my..." she looked at Dean "Friend and my now ex-fiance. I ended up getting hit by accident."

"That's not good."

Dean wrapped his arm around Allie "When can we go? I'm sure she's tired and wants to go home and go to bed."

"You can go soon. We did find something though when we were running those tests earlier."

Allie looked at Dean then back to the doctor "What is it?" she took dean's hand in hers.

"You're pregnant."
