Does anyone have a good suggestion for how to not get bitten in my sleep? For some strange reason Japanese insects are really attracted to my blood…

Disclaimer: I don't own FFVII nor its characters. I also don't own the ideas taken from Love Monster.

Tseng really didn't want to do this, but he had no choice. The president had insisted that he had to stay in Shinra, just in case of the unlikely chance that someone would randomly decide to break into the Shinra complex to murder him, while his son went to Rocket town to observe how the space exploration project was going. All the other Turks were out on other missions. A large majority of them were still working on damage control in Wutai, speaking of which that princess still hadn't been found, though she was still sending messages to Zack apparently, and the rest of the Turks were chasing after AVALANCHE. So Reno and Rude were the only ones who could accompany Rufus to Rocket Town.

"If you're really that worried about it, we can send one of my SOLDIER's to take care of him instead." Sephiroth suggested. The General had just happened to walk into his office when he was mulling over his predicament.

"There might be some sensitive information that your SOLDIER's might come across. Not that I mean any offence, I trust you General, it's just that I know you can't guarantee that your soldiers…"

"None taken." Sephiroth cut him off. "So what are you going to do if you're not going to send Reno with the vice president?"

"What would you do if you were in this situation? Say if Zack actually liked that little cadet he's training more than he let on and you had to send Genesis off on a mission with him because everyone else was preoccupied with other things."

"Are you saying that you have feelings for the weasel?" Sephiroth questioned. "Because Zack won't be very happy if he was to find out."

"No… Yes… I don't know…" Tseng fought the urge to bang his head against his desk, not that Sephiroth hadn't already seen him do that before in the past.

"Wasn't it only a little while ago that you got Zack to trap the vice president so that you could explain yourself to him?" Sephiroth questioned. "Now you're already back to square one where you're not sure whether or not you have feelings for him?"

"Don't get me wrong Sephiroth, my feelings for Rufus have not changed."

Sephiroth nodded. After all, Tseng and Rufus did fight for their relationship for a long time before the president just gave up and told them to just do what they wanted because he stopped caring.

"It's just that Reno's presence is hard to ignore when he's in such a close proximity."

"I can't say I would know what to do if I was in your situation because I've never been there. Also Genesis gets along with Cloud well enough now that neither of us are really concerned with leaving them both in the same room. In fact Genesis took Cloud to see Loveless the other day. He somehow managed to stay awake for the entire show and actually enjoyed it according to Zack."

Tseng raised an eyebrow at that. Finding it hard to believe that anyone but Genesis could enjoy the play.

"Either way, if Zack were to develop feelings for Cloud, I can't really say that I'd be upset over it."

Tseng looked honestly surprised.

"I'd be a fool to deny that the boy is quite endearing. He has his own charms, but I know better than to act on any affection I have for him in a serious way. If anything did change though, I would discuss it with the others first and decide how to proceed from there."

"I forget sometimes how unusual your relationship with the other generals and your lieutenant is. Your relationships based on trust, whereas my relationship is currently based on a mess."

Sephiroth laughed a little at that.

"So from an outsiders point of view, what do you think I should do about this whole situation?" Tseng gestured to the mission paperwork sitting on his desk.

"Don't worry so much about it. Hope that the vice president and your charge can be adults about the whole thing and the results may surprise you."

Tseng let out a small laugh. "You know I never thought I'd see the day where I'd be the one asking you about relationship advice. It seems like only yesterday when you came into my office asking me about what you should do about your growing affection for Genesis and Angeal."

A fond smile appeared on Sephiroth's face as he remembered that whole incident. "That was quite a predicament I was in at the time. It took the three of us a long time to settle into our new relationship and then Angeal's puppy came along…"

"And then there was four."

Tseng remembered Zack's introduction into the General's relationship like it was almost yesterday. Angeal had been smitten with the wolf and Genesis, always the troublemaker, hadn't liked the puppy's hyperactive nature from the beginning and tried to get rid of him when Angeal started training him, but the wolf's personality had eventually rubbed off on the three and he had ended up joining in on their happy four-way relationship.

"Since you have your answer on what I think you should do, I'll take my leave." Sephiroth cut in on Tseng's thoughts. "Good luck Tseng." With that, the general walked out of the room.

The leader of the Turks stared at his phone for a few more moments when Sephiroth left before he sighed in resignation and started dialling a number.

"Rude, I have a new mission for you and Reno…"
