Bonnie heard him come in, but she was busy with the copy that Klaus had of the black Grimoire, she had been working on a spell and smiled when he sat down just behind her on the floor.
When he kissed her cheek, she tried to focus, being back in his bedroom was already a major distraction and Kol's now proximity was making it hard to go past that same sentence, that she already read twice.
It was hard giving meaning to the words, no matter how many times she read them and with her new vampire senses everything was extreme and even her skin had a strong reaction to his warmth.
His scent was stronger and overpowering, his heat was a constant temptation, his body was irresistible while his hair had nuances that she never spotted before and his eyes were intense with a hazel in them that left her weak.
Fighting the allure of everything that Kol was, as a simple human was hard, fighting him as a vampire was close to impossible.
Bonnie had no idea how Caroline and Klaus ever made it out of their bed, the more she was with Kol, the more she craved for him and not all the pain in the world was keeping her away from him.
"I like what you did with the room, it looks very… witchy." He looked around at all the books scattered on the floor and the candles forming a circle around them.
Bonnie looked at him with a smile. "I was working on a spell."
Kol smiled, looking at the stunning woman, those eyes that had been his doom from the start were the most amazing green he had ever seen, and her skin was soft and glowing, Bonnie had always been hard to resist, as a vampire and a powerful witch he was hers to do as she pleased.
He touched her face slowly, relishing in everything that he loved about her.
"I hate that Nik uses you as his private witch."
Bonnie was taken by his words, Elijah and Kol had been the only ones during her life to see her as something different.
It took Kol longer to get there but now his protective ways made her love him even more.
"Actually, I was working on something for us."
Kol squinted. "What are you up to?"
She leaned over to kiss him, and she kissed his lips slowly and with all her love, but he pulled away because the candle's flame became higher around them.
She caressed his chest and reached for his neck, slowly stroking the skin there and kissed him again, slowly running her tongue over his lips.
She nibbled on his bottom lip and opened her eyes to look at him. "Did you feel anything?" She whispered.
"Is that a rhetorical question, darling?"
Bonnie looked at the candles that surrounded them and they were normal again.
Kol was confused but answered her kiss when she claimed his lips again.
This time a hand came to her neck while the other glided down her back pressing her to him, she tugged his hair during a very long kiss, it was something simple but that they hadn't done in a long time.
Bonnie could feel the flames around them high, so she knew that it was working, she moved her hand down his back and sneaked her warm fingers under his shirt.
Kol broke the kiss hastily. "Wait… I don't feel any pain." He looked at her puzzled.
Bonnie smiled, while starting a smooth pattern on his firm defined chest. "Nothing on this side either."
"Oh, the spell…" He said slowly. "You were doing the spell for us."
Bonnie kissed his bottom lip before she trapped it between her teeth playfully.
"The candles around us are catching all of our energy, so every time that it expands out of my control, they keep it locked inside of the circle."
"That's definitely new... and hot." He whispered with his eyes on her soft lips.
"Maybe we can try this for once, without worrying about hurting each other or anyone around us. I want to focus only on you, not on magic or anything else… just you."
He smiled, cradling her face between his hands and rested his forehead against hers, this was more than he could ever ask for, even if it was just for a few hours.
They kissed again, while he started to remove her top, he pulled his shirt over his head next and rested on top of her when Bonnie rested against the floor taking him with her.
Kol started to trail her neck with perfect tiny kisses, making its way to her collarbone, he kissed every inch of her skin, and the journey took him down to the rim of her jeans.
Bonnie's breath was as intense as the flames rising on the candles, but he was only beginning, and slowly he licked his way up her torso until he found her bra.
With his eyes on her, Kol pulled the fabric down to release one of her breasts and swallowed her nipple with his warm wet mouth.
Bonnie moaned, she had her eyes closed, enjoying the feel of his tongue against her sensitive skin.
At the same time, Kol opened her jeans and moved a hand inside to cup her core. He stroked her from above the fabric, but while his thumb worked down on her, his teeth started to playfully bite her nipple.
Bonnie's body contorted a bit under him, there were too many sensations bursting out of her skin, and she wanted to feel him inside of her more than anything.
He knew that but he also knew that he hadn't pushed her pleasure in the past like he wanted to and today he finally had his chance.
Kol slid a finger inside of her panties and then inside of her.
Bonnie's moan was guttural, she liked how he was slowly invading her warmth and she was so wet, that easily she enveloped two of his fingers.
He was only focused on her face now and Bonnie was stunning in every way, her head was turned a bit to the side and her expression was one of raw pleasure.
He lowered his head and slowly ran the tip of his nose along the side of her neck before he licked his lips to leave a moist kiss on her skin.
Her big shiver was a sign of how she liked that but also of how close she was, and Kol added a bit of speed to his fingers.
Then he bit her lightly, not enough to pierce the skin on her neck or to draw blood. Just to give her a new kind of pleasure.
The motion was enough to bring forward a delicate orgasm from her, and she whimpered with her eyes closed, while her body reacted to the increasing need to really have him inside.
Bonnie gasped in bliss when he finally settled deep inside of her with a slow thrust, there was nothing on her mind but him and she was taken by this incredible peace that she couldn't explain.
She was at peace, but she was happy at the same time, because for the first time, she was able to enjoy sex without having to worry about his pain or her own, and she wanted a lot more of it.
Klaus sat down on the sofa with the old drawing in his hand.
"I know that you are resistant to what I have to tell you, but I was the one who lost the most in all of this." Ansel sat down next to him.
"I lost my life and my trust in love, so forgive me for not feeling sorry enough for you."
"Esther was afraid of Mikael. When she found out that she was pregnant, she became aware that my fate was sealed… Mikael was away hunting most of the winter and when he came back, he understood that she couldn't be expecting his child."
Ansel stood up, he felt more comfortable this way, if he had to share such painful memories.
"She never told me that he knew, and we made plans to run away from his vile temper. We would have taken Finn and Elijah with us, but Esther was spineless after all, and on the night, we were supposed to leave, she never showed up."
Klaus looked up from the paper in his hand, to the man who should have rescued him from all that he endured with Mikael.
"Remaining unbeknownst, is just as gutless."
Ansel's expression dropped harshly. "He would have killed you, if he ever knew that I was alive. He would have killed you just to punish me and Esther, for our mistake."
Klaus chuckled, used as he was to be called a mistake.
He rolled the paper and handed it back to the old man. "I've already had one too many fathers, therefore, I'm done with them."
Ansel was sad. "Find that will inside of you, to at least grant me a few weeks, Niklaus. I can change your mind, if I'm given the time to do so."
"Haven't you been watching me and know all there is to know about me? I don't feel anything, and this means nothing to me." He waved the paper that Ansel only accepted now.
"You are my son, even if you refuse to consider it and yes, I have watched you. With pride, if I might add. You are ruthless, strong, determined, brave, everything I could ever wish for in a son. The empire that I've built is worthy of what you've become. You are the single most feared creature in the world, and I couldn't have educated you better than what you did for yourself."
"There is more to it than just wedging wars, right and left."
"You may be away from her, but Caroline has left her mark on you."
"You will not bring her name into any of our conversations."
Ansel opened his arms. "Of course… let's talk about someone else, someone rather special as well, like your sister."
"What is your goal with this?"
"I'm nothing to you, however, there are those who mean a great deal to you and as you must understand, sometimes threats need to be made to balance a goodwill proposition."
"Heads will roll, if anyone tries a thing against them."
"Your sister may return to Mystic Falls, or she may stay back in New York with your wife, but I need you to come over to London with me, and I need you to be motivated. We both know what I'm not specifically saying."
"What you are keeping unsaid won't work on me, I don't respond well to threats." He smiled. "Don't you know that?"
"I do…" Ansel walked back to the desk. "... but I don't have much time and you are not going to let me in, unless you're prone to do it."
Klaus looked at him in disbelief.
"The witches kept me alive but like everything they do, it came with a consequence and my extended time is nearing an end." Ansel shared with him.
"If you're dying, then I'm not missing much, am I?" Klaus asked, wondering if it was time to end the life of another one of his parents.
There was a knock on the door and Ansel ordered Eric to come inside, he was followed by two other men that were dragging someone that they left at Klaus's feet.
Bruised and bleeding, Stefan looked up at Klaus.
"Your friend came looking for his doppelgänger lady friend… I'm willing to compromise on that. I had the beautiful vampire lined up as a gift for you, while a witch would make her blood useful to create hybrids but that can be done without keeping her prisoner. I'm certain that the witch who favors your two brothers can make hybrids anywhere, so it's your call, really." He faced Klaus. "You can have your hybrids, your sister unharmed and your wife with that beautiful head of hers attached to her body… you can have everything you worked so hard to achieve, or you can lose everything within the blink of an eye. I have an army waiting for one word only."
Klaus's mind was racing, every plan meant nothing when he was facing someone who not only thought like him but had perfected it in the shadows.
Ansel was on top of everything, and he had nothing to lose when he only wanted affection in return.
"Klaus…" Stefan stood up, clutching his ribs. "You owe me this."
Klaus glared at him.
"You made me leave Elena during that Summer that we've spent experimenting on your hybrid craze… you forced me to leave town and I did it, because I had no other choice…"
Klaus squinted, picking up on his intentions.
"Give me Katherine and go with him."
Stefan was right, he had to leave, if he wanted Rebekah and Caroline to be safe, so slowly, Klaus nodded at him.
Ansel smiled hugely. "Bring the car around." He told Eric. "We are leaving for London now."
She was chained up in an isolated chamber and by the look of it, she was deprived of blood for days.
Stefan knelt in front of her, moving those heavy curls away from her face. "Katherine?" He called softly. "It's me... Stefan."
She looked at him but didn't speak, she couldn't understand what he was doing here.
"Get her out of those chains." He ordered the two goons behind him.
One of them shrugged. "I like seeing her tied up and with the Master away, we can finally have some fun."
The other laughed pleasantly. "We'll give her back to you in a few days."
Stefan straightened up seriously and faced the two smug werewolves with a smile, quicker than they could process it, he removed the heart of one of them.
"Why don't you elaborate on that fantasy? I didn't quite get it." He dropped the heart in front of the other.
He gulped down loudly with a step back.
"Give me the key."
The werewolf was shaking, as he handed it to Stefan.
Bonnie's breath was shallow, she was sweaty and even dizzy, and he was stroking her wet back while she smiled against his sweaty chest.
"Well, that was…" She said between pants.
"Amazing, mind-blowing, insanely hot and the best sex we ever had?" He whispered out of breath.
"At least the longest we've been at it…" She closed her eyes tired.
"I need to buy all the candles that I can find in Mystic Falls." He snuggled her naked body closer to his.
Bonnie rested against his chest for the longest moment, then she started laughing, increasingly with more will and force.
"I missed that laughter…" He trailed her spine with his fingers.
She smiled, elated that things were going so well between them. "By the way, that biting thing was really hot."
He smirked. "There are a lot more things that I want to try out with you."
She moved, so that she could look at him. "Me too." She gave him a smoldering look before she started to kiss her way down his chest.
"Are you sure that you don't want to eat anything?" Rebekah asked Caroline sweetly.
"I had blood already." The other answered numbly.
"I'll be right outside, if you need anything…"
Rebekah left Caroline alone in the bedroom and met with Damon in the kitchen.
She then called her brother, one of them had to give in but Klaus didn't answer her call, so she threw her hands in the air and resigned.
"I give up, if they want to stay mad at each other forever, then I won't interfere with it."
"Hey…" Damon pulled her closer to him, by wrapping an arm around her waist. "They can handle their own stuff."
"They are married, yet they're acting like teenagers, escalating what was only a spat."
"Caroline is 18 and Klaus is mentally unstable, which sort of qualifies him as a teenager as well."
She tried calling Klaus again. "I hate seeing them like this. First, they couldn't get it right, then he leaves, then he gets back, then they are together, then she dies, he dies, and they get married, and they both leave. Now they aren't even talking to each other…"
He leaned over to rest his lips against her temple. "I know…"
"I thank you for the help, Damon, your words have true meaning." She huffed.
"I'm not very good with words, unless they are used as witty remarks. That's my specialty."
"My boyfriend is a useless prick." She murmured.
"Boyfriend?" He squinted.
"I mean… a friend with whom I share intimacy… I believe that they call it a colorful friend." She looked at him doubtfully.
"That was cute." He smiled.
"I don't do cute." She hissed.
"I don't do boyfriend Rebekah."
"We need to forget that these words were ever mentioned." She started to create a small space between them.
"What are we doing, Rebekah?"
"Having sex on a regular basis, isn't that what we've done from the start?"
"It's not that simple, Bex and I don't think that it has ever been."
"What do you mean?"
"Whenever something good happens to me, I go into a self-destructing mood and I always find a way to put a hurdle on the road, when there isn't any."
She looked at him with big quizzical eyes.
"But not with you." He finished sweetly.
"Are you yanking my chain, Damon?" She asked him sternly.
He laughed while pulling her closer. "Why don't you use that Juju thing of yours and see if I'm lying?"
"What are you trying to tell me?"
He leaned over to almost brush her forehead with his. "Although I was sort of joking, I was the first to call you girlfriend, the other day at my house."
"I know…"
He grinned at her. "So, you did notice."
"You're a hard man to read, Damon. But occasionally you let your walls down and I see right through you."
"Boyfriend and girlfriend, then?"
She kissed him on the lips. "I don't need to label this, Damon. Just to live it."
Klaus sat alone in the back of the private Jet.
Eric and Ansel were busy in the front, discussing the latest action of the stock market and when they were done, Eric handed a glass of water to Ansel.
After removing a small bottle with pills from inside of his jacket, Ansel popped two pills into his mouth.
For Klaus that only meant one thing, if the man was on medication he could be killed.
Klaus also realized that the only one who was able to get really close to the old man was Eric, the adoptive son hadn't approached Klaus for an open conversation, which was a clear sign that he wasn't an enthusiast of handing over whatever control he had in this empire of Ansel's.
Klaus was lost in his soldier ways when his phone started vibrating, he expected another worried try from his baby sister but instead his mouth went dry. Caroline was the one attempting to reach him now.
Caroline, such a sweet name for the woman who was able to kill him if she bloody wanted to, he wouldn't even put up a fight if her touch was the last, he felt before he crossed over.
He was shaking when he answered her call, he could hear her breathing from the other side and suddenly it was the sweetest sound he had ever heard.
From that alone, he could imagine her features and the way that her hair usually fell in these perfect cascades over her shoulders.
"Sweetheart?"
There was no answer from the other side.
He leaned over, resting his elbows over his knees. "I miss you…"
"I miss you too…" She simply said, before quickly ending the call.
Klaus rested his forehead against his entwined hands, he wanted to turn this jet around and go back to New York, to storm inside of that apartment and walk straight to her, to pull her close to him and keep her in his arms until he was done missing her.
He didn't want to go to London and fall back into his old ways, where he was expected to accept the offer of immeasurable power when that was the opposite of what he lived for now.
Klaus wanted to go back home to his wife and to his siblings, hell, right now, even Damon sounded nice, but he looked at the man watching him with a smile, all of this seemed more and more out of reach as they grew closer to London.
Rebekah slowly tugged Damon's hair, their kisses were always so intense. She was glued to him and conscious that soon they would have to move this matter to a bedroom, but a loud thud made her break away from him.
Caroline just harshly closed the door of her bedroom and now showed up ready to go out, not only that, but she was also carrying a folded coat in her arm, a leather bag in one hand and a passport on the other.
"Where are you going?" Rebekah asked, confused.
"To the airport." She answered determinedly. "Elijah called with news. Nik went to London with Ansel and Elijah is on his way there right now."
"I'm sure that Klaus didn't do that thinking that you would follow his lead." Damon tried to reason with her.
"I'm not Elena." Caroline eyed him, unwavering. "I will not sit around for months without a single word about his whereabouts. I will not sit around feeling sorry and crying my eyes out while he is being propelled into a world that he didn't ask to be part of. I'm going to London, and I'm going to find my husband and bring him back home."
