Just so you know this slew of updates probably isn't going to last for very long.

Reno didn't know whether or not he should feel awkward about this whole situation or if he should just roll with it. Currently he was on a helicopter with Tseng and Rufus. Apparently they were going on some kind of a mission, which would have been fine it if weren't for the fact that their mission was some kind of area surveying mission in Costa del Sol. It was obvious that this was more of a company funded date rather than an actual mission. What would there even be to observe on a beach besides all the people walking around in their swimming suits?
"Sir, we've arrived." A voice played over his headphones. The Turk that was piloting the helicopter was someone named Rod. Honestly, he hoped that he would haver have to have a nickname that had to do with the weapon he used. He couldn't imagine walking around with people calling him Night Stick all the time. It just sounded like a name that had been taken from some kind of porn star. Not that it was any worse than the name Rod. He wondered if the other Turk even noticed the sexual connotations to his nickname.
His thoughts were cut off as soon as the helicopter hit the ground. "You looked like you were deep in thought over there. You nervous about having a mission with just Tseng and I?" Rufus questioned as they started making their way off the helicopter.
"I was actually wondering about whether or not I'd have to have some kind of a weird code name at some point."
Rufus stared at him for a moment before realising what he meant and he burst out laughing.
Reno pouted a little. "What's so funny?"
"Calling you Night Stick would be hilarious. Maybe I should start calling you that instead of just calling you Red."
"Or you could just call me by my name." Reno suggested.
Rufus just smirked at his words. "Now that would just be too easy."
Reno heard Tseng sigh from behind them.
"Rufus, stop picking on Reno. We need to have a quick briefing on our mission before we head out."
Rufus let off a small laugh. "You mean our company paid holiday?" Well, that confirmed Reno's suspicions. Tseng gave Rufus a look and the vice president settled down with a small smirk still on his face.
"Rod will come and pick us back up in a couple of weeks. I'll go and survey the area today. Reno, if you could stay with the vice president and make sure he doesn't get into any trouble while I'm not around."
"Yes sir."
With a slight nod, Tseng headed off out of the way, while both Reno and Rufus turned their attentions on each other.
"So… Hotel?" Reno questioned.
"Hotel." Rufus agreed and they both stared making their way to the inn.
"So just out of curiosity, what the hell is going on? How did we get from just acquaintances to you asking me out?" Reno questioned as they walked.
"Actually, that was Zack's suggestion."
Reno gave the spider an odd look. "Is everything you do always at Zack's suggestion?"
Rufus let off a small laugh. "Despite how he acts, Zack actually gives quite good relationship advice. I guess being in a four way relationship makes your relationships a lot better than when you're only in a normal two way relationship. You learn to read all your partners differently."
"And what made you think that this would work out?" Reno questioned. "We're not even really interested in each other in that way."
Rufus shrugged. "We get along well enough and I would be lying if I was to say that you weren't physically attractive. It was pretty much a quick fix to our little problem."
Reno shook his head. "And I thought that I was the type that jumped into things."
"I'll have you know that at times I can be just as spontaneous as Zack can be. Why do you think we get along so well?"
"For most part I thought that he would annoy you more than anything, considering how different both your personalities are."
Rufus just laughed at that.
Once they got to the inn Reno set down his ID on the desk.
The clerk looked down at the card for a moment. "One room with a king sized bed." He said as he looked at his booking chart.
Reno stared at him with a somewhat disbelieving look on his face. "Did you just say what I thought you just said?"
The clerk gave him an odd look. "It says here that you've booked for one room with a king sized bed. I apologise if we've got it wrong, but unfortunately we have no other rooms left."
Reno was getting a strong sense of Deja vu with how the conversation was going and he turned his attention back on Rufus, who was smirking. "I swear I booked two rooms, what's going on?" He questioned.
'I believe we had a call here from the head of the department of administrative research to change the rooms from two to one." The clerk said, looking at the files.
"Tseng?" Reno seemed to be in slight shock. "You got Tseng to change the booking?"
Rufus' smirk just got wider.
"I told you I can be just as spontaneous as Zack."
