A/N: Hiya! Sorry I didn't update yesterday! I tried in between classes, but I got caught up in something and then I worked unti midnight so I passed out when I home...either way here it is!

Well things on the last chapter ended in not so good terms for our beloved Rose and Dimitri...some harsh words were exchanged and some unwanted dates were set up. So I hope this chapter makes up for it.

I took a deep breath as I leaned against the railing. When Lissa moved here, we spent a day finding everything this apartment hid. This balcony was one of them. Only Christian, Lissa, and I know about it. So it was the perfect place to escape to. The railing came up to my belly button, so leaning over took some bending. Not wanting to get sore, I turn around and sit down on it and close my eyes, letting the moonlight bath me.

Too soon for my liking, I felt rather than hear him join me. I could feel his inhuman height cut off my moonlight. Hoping he'd go away, I kept my eyes close and acted as if I didn't notice his presence, but never moved.

"Just leave me alone. I'm exhausted and I want to go home," I said, never opening my eyes.

"Then let me take you home," he said hesitantly as he took a step towards me.

"No. Thank. You. Last place I want to be at is in the same car as you and Tasha. And I really wouldn't want her to take the cab back to her place or your place."

He groaned and mumbled something in Russian. "She came on her own. I'm not even suppose to be here."

"Really now?" I said sarcastically, opening my eyes to look at him with disbelief.

"Yes. She had asked invited me the same day you came by, but I told her I had plans. But well, you said no. Still I waited until an hour before this thing started for you to change your mind. She came by with a suit in hand, saying that I wasn't going to spend my Saturday night alone. Being that she wouldn't leave until I did, and you never changed your mind, I decided to come. But we took separate cars. Rose, I swear nothing is going on with her. I made a stupid mistake with her in high school and now it's biting me in the ass," he said, his eyes pleading me to forgive him. I wanted to believe. I wanted to forget everything and enjoy the rest of the night with him. I wanted to shut him up with a kiss so passionate hell's heat could never compare to our kiss.

"So you never intended on asking me out to dinner," I said, anger blazing in my eyes. "You just wanted a reason to not come here with her. You know guys have tried using me for a bunch of shit, and I never let them, but never has a guy ever used me to get rid of another women, and never have I almost let that guy do that. But I guess that's what happens when I like a guy a barely know."

"Rose, I would never use you," he said as he took a step closer, getting into my personal space. He caressed my cheek with his thumb, my head leaning against his hand. "I was nervous about asking you out and getting rejected. Which I kind of did."

I pulled away from his hand and looked at him aghast. "I just told you I like you, and you're standing here focusing on me saying no to dinner?!" I tried to push him away but he just grabbed both my hands with one of his and took another step closer.

"No I'm not," he said as he kneeled down so he was at my eye level. He tucked a lock of hair behind my ear, keeping his hand around my neck. "I heard you, Roza, and I just returned the sentiment by sharing my feelings as well."

"C'mon Dimitri," I began as I wrapped my around around his neck. "I told you I liked you, you told me you were nervous. That's no where close to mine."

"Isn't it though?" He leaned in closer, his lips barely touching mine.

"Rose?" I heard from behind me. Instinctively, I pushed away from Dimitri. However, being that I was siting on the balcony on the fourth floor, I lost balance and fell back. I screamed in surprise and slight terror, but felt relief when I felt a hand grab mine. I looked up and saw Dimitri bent over holding onto me. He was pulling me, but with me hanging in mid air I was kind of dead weight, so he held out his other hand for me and I took it. With a big pull and grunt, he hoisted me up and pulled me to him, causing us to fall back with me on top.

Somehow as he lifted me up, his hands had moved to my waist and mine on his shoulders. I don't know how long we just stayed there, frozen, looking at each other, our faces slowly closing in on each other. Until someone so rudely interrupted by clearing their throat. I looked up, ready to tell them just how rude they were being when my words caught in my throat when I saw who it was. Not just that, apparently I had drawn in quite the crowd. Lissa and the rest of the group finally broke threw and got in front. When I saw who it was I immediately got off Dimitri and helped him get up.

"Rose, what in God's name were you doing?" My dad whispered in a threatening tone like I was a child.

"What are you doing here?" I asked a few seconds later, avoiding the question.

"Janine and I are leaving and wanted to say good night to you. Rose, she really needs to talk to you. Can't you give her five minutes?"

"No," I said firmly. "She didn't want me home, so I left. There is nothing to talk about."

"At least tell me where you're staying. This isn't like you, Rose. It's been two weeks. I get it if you're mad at your mother, but I haven't done anything, kiz." I hung my head down in shame because he was right. I walked up to hug him and took comfort in feeling his arms wrap around me.

"I know, baba, but I just need to stay away. How about we have dinner together this week, she's working the late shift, isn't she?"

"Well actually she's got a big case starting tomorrow so they're sending her to Utah to help the local agents with it."

"Ok. I'll call you when I can come over."

"Ok, kiddo," he said, a small smile on as he took pride in the small progress he made. He kissed the top of my head and bid me goodnight.

"Night, old man," I said with a smile on.

He walked away, but then turned around and looked at something behind me and then at me. "Oh, and Rose, don't think I've forgotten." He gave me a knowing look and walked away.

"Roza," Dimitri said hesitantly. "Are you ok?"

"Yup. Perfectly fine, Comrade. Never better," I said quickly, hoping my voice didn't show how uneasy I was. "People probably want to know what happened."

He approached me and stroked my cheek. "I don't care what they want. You're what I care about." I looked up at him, my eyes turning glassy. I was about to say something when we were interrupted.

"WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?!" Lissa shouted as she pulled me to her and checked me out.

"Well...I um...fell off the the balcony…" I stumbled in telling.

"What?" said my nine friends.

"Little temptress, I seriously believe you have some issues with standing straight," Adrian said jokingly. I couldn't help but laugh and nod my head.

"Are you ok?" Mason asked as he came up to me to give me another check up.

"I'm fine! Dimitri's ninja reflexes saved me to be honest." I looked up and saw he wasn't next to me. He went inside like everyone else. Being that he's the tallest man here, I could easily see him through the window with his back to me. I also could see whoever he was talking to running her hands up and down his arm. I didn't need to see her to know who it is. I couldn't stop the low, threatening growl that escaped my lips.

"What is wrong with you?" Mia asked as Mason took a step away.

"Not a fucking thing. Ok?" I said, spinning around to show them I'm fine. "I'm perfectly fine. I fell, Dimitri caught my held and pulled me up, and here we are now. Can we go back inside now?" I didn't wait for them to answer and started to go back inside, I heard them all following me.

"Dimka, let's go inside." Tasha said when I took a step back as Roza went to go talk to someone. I paid her no attention while I waited for an opportunity to talk to Roza.

I saw the man she was talking to start to walk away, so I walked up to her but stopped when I heard his next words. "Oh, and Rose, don't think I've forgotten." He gave her a knowing look and walked away.

"Roza," I finally said when I found my voice. I hated how unsure I sounded, but something about what that man said had left we feeling worried and fearful. "Are you ok?" I gave her a quick look and saw she was perfect and beautiful as ever.

"Yup. Perfectly fine, Comrade. Never better. People probably want to know what happened," she said quickly, looking around at the already dispersing crowd.

I closed the gap between us and stroked her cheek, whispering, "I don't care what they want. You're what I care about." Her watery eyes met mine and I could see the surprise and happiness in them. I knew that even though her voice says differently, her eyes tell me she feels the same about me. She looked like she was about to say something but one of her friends cut in, unaware of our conversation. I believe she's the bride-to-be. I took a step back again and let Roza be with her friends. As I walked inside, I felt a warm sensation wash me over as I saw my baby sister among Roza's friends.

As I walked inside, I wondered if maybe I should leave since I don't know anyone aside from Tasha and Roza and Tasha's the last person I want to talk to. I know she doesn't mean any harm and doesn't what she causes, but I don't want to risk another misinterpretation or any more problems with Roza. Deciding to stay, I walk towards the window where I can clearly see Roza and her friends outside talking.

"That's her isn't it? The one you were with when I ran into you." I heard Tasha say behind me. I turned around and addressed her.

"Yes. That's Rose," I said in my normal voice, the no-nonsense one that goes with my impassive, closed off look that I use with everyone but family...and Roza.

"Then why are you here? With me?" She asked as she ran her hands up my arm in an attempt to be seductive and alluring. An attempt that was wasted on me.

"Because," I said through gritted teeth as I took her hand off me like it contained a contagious virus. "I didn't know it was the same party. Believe me, Natasha, if I had known I would have come with her instead."

"Well why aren't you with her now then? And why didn't you come with her?"

"I'm not with her because sh-" I cut myself off and looked at her with hard glare as I figured out her game. "Because It isn't any of your business why I do thing or why I don't. You've caused unnecessary problems twice already and I'll be a fool if I let there be a third time. Have a good night Ms. Ozera." I turned away from her and was about to leave when I walked into someone.

Pulling her away before she walked away, I turned us away so my back was to her friends behind her and they couldn't see her.

"Rose, can we go some place else and talk?"

By the time I walked through the balcony door, I felt most of my anger dissipate and decided I needed to lighten the mood.

"What's for dessert?" I asked as I spun around and faced my friends while walking backwards. I was asking Lissa, but whoever knew could answer.

"Some pie with ice cream," Lissa said after taking a moment to think about it.

"Yum," I responded with a smile on my face as I turned around.

"Only you would think of food after almost falling to your death," Mason said from behind me, causing all of us to laugh as I gave him the finger over my shoulder as I turned into the party.

Before I knew was was happening I felt someone grab my hand and turn me around, blocking my way. I was about to call out to my friends when I heard his accent.

"Rose, can we go some place else and talk?"

I nodded my head and let him lead me to the elevators.

"You do know talking requires you to say something, right?" I said, finally breaking the silence that had fallen over Dimitri and I after we left the party. When we got to my car I hopped on top of my trunk and look at him expectantly.

"I don't know what to say," he responded as he walked up to me. He put his hands on either side of my legs and rested his head against my shoulder. "I messed up, Roza."

"Big time," I said playfully with a laughter at the end. I felt his breath brush my neck as he sighed as he shook his head. Then I felt a rumble in his chest before hearing a soft chuckle escape his lips.

"Your not going to make this easy, are you?" he mumbled, his lips tickling my skin.

"Wouldn't be me if I did," I replied simply and winked at him when he peeked a look at me. I gave him a cheeky smile before saying, "And you wouldn't want that, right?"

With a solemn look, he lifted his head, looked me straight in the eyes, and said, "No I would not." He tucked a lock of hair behind my ear and kept his hand there, his eyes looking straight into mine. I couldn't tear my eyes away from his, they were so beautiful and mysterious. So alluring and inviting. Pretty soon, my vision narrowed and they were the only thing I could see. That or we had started to lean into each other. What happened next told me it was the latter.

Dimitri's lips covered mine and before I knew it my whole being was thinking about and reacting to his touch. I wrapped my arms around his neck as he wrapped his other hand around my waist and I responded to his kiss. Soon, we were doing a dance. A deep, passionate, breathtaking, lips bruising dance. With a gentleness so contrary to kiss, his tongue licked my bottom lip. I gladly parted my lips and in an instant our tongues were in a fierce battle for dominance. Slowly, he leaned over so I was laying on top of my trunk and he was over me, our battle dance long from being over.

After what felt like hours, he broke away, trying to catch his breath. He lowered his head and I could feel his breathes tickling my skin. I couldn't help the giggle that came out of my lips. I felt his lips curve into a smile as he started planting small, soft kisses on my neck, shoulder, collarbone, and back up. When he got to my neck, I pulled his face up and planted a long, hard kiss before pulling away. Breathless, I finally found the clarity of mind to say one thing.

"Take me home, Comrade."

A/N: So eh eh how bout it :) Leave me a review to tell me if you like how I ended it.

On another night...I HAD A VISION (not really...a fanfic I was reading reminded me of a show I'm watching which lead me to come up w a cool VA fanfic idea) so here's the semi-summary, semi-intro to the story (which I don't have a title for yet). I don't know if I'll write it as I write this one or after...

Since Rose, Queen of Turkey, was a child, the English have wanted her county and her crown. She is sent to Russia to wed its next king, Dimitri, to save herself and her people. A bond that should protect her, but there are forces that conspire, forces of darkness, forces of the heart. Long may she reign.

Well? Leave me a review telling me if you like it or not...and if you know where I got the idea from :D (whoever guesses correctly gets a shout out next chapter!). If you really like it and want a snippet of the beginning send me a PM :D
