A/N: I STILL HAVE 20 MINUTES BEFORE IT'S MONDAY! So I'm staying true to my word and getting in on Sunday! Now, as a belated Christmas present, and an apology offering, this chapter is 10 pages long, by far the longest I have written in any chapter! So I hope you like it! I tried keeping it light and funny!
Disclaimer: I don't know Vampire Academy or anything related to it...just the iPhone skin I just made and ordered from :D

"Ok," I began. "The rules are simple. When Jesse says go, blow out the fire and drink all five shots in front of you. First one of us to finish wins." Everyone nodded their heads as Jesse went around lighting up all thirty shots.
She nodded her head as Jesse said, "Ok. Ready. Set. Go!"
In the end I won, Mia in second, Jill last. I felt a little buzz and I could tell Lissa was a bit drunk because when she finished her face furrowed as she looked at my row of glasses and then hers.
"Double or nothing," she said and Jesse complied filling our glasses and adding the flame.
"Ready for round 2, Liss?" I asked challengingly, getting her attention. She nodded her head and this time we tied, but she was clearly more drunk then me. She was swaying and a words had a hint of a slur. I was acting like I had just drank water with an energy boost.
"What's next?" Lissa asked while we walked to her living room, where all the lights were dimmed down.
"Well since your wedding is tomorrow and we don't want you with a mean hangover. Get got you the perfect medicine for it," I began, Mia and Viktoria laughing in the background and Jill became mortified when she saw the stripper that came in. "Lissa meet Dr. Cutie."
Lissa's eyes widened as she saw the brown haired man, wearing an open lab coat with nothing under, showing his flat, almost 6-pack, abs, and white pants. His green, illuminating eyes hard to ignore. Lissa looked slightly memorized by his beauty, but also confused by his familiarity.
"Some paged the doctor," he said in a gruff, husky tone as he made his way to Lissa and started to give her a lap dance. Her face flushed red. To be quite honest, the lap dance looking kind of bad. Mia, Sydney, and I tried not to fall on the couch laughing, so instead we snickered. A lot. I felt bad for Jill, having to see it so I asked her to come with me to the kitchen.
"What can I get you girls?" Jesse asked.
"I'll have a shot of tequila. And um she'll...well she's only like 16 or 17, but…"
"My brother's the entertainment for tonight," she blurted out. I saw Jesse's eyes light up with amusement, but he didn't say anything. He just got us our drink. He gave me my shot and gave Jill an ice tea. A Long Island Iced Tea to be exact. Yea she'll get over seeing Adrian as a stripper pretty quickly. As soon as she took a sip, I saw her physically relax before going back to the living room.
"You couldn't contract a really stripper, Rose?"
"Of course I could have, but you know Lissa. She would have thrown a fit tomorrow if she knew. At least with having a friend be the stripper, it can be seen as joke. A very funny joke I'm so glad I'm recording."
"How if you're here?"
"She's sitting right in front of TV, where I put a little camera. Well I should get back. He should be done by now."
When I returned to the living room, the lights were back on Mia and Sydney were on the floor red with laughter, Adrian looked down sheepishly, and Lissa look embarrassed and mad. From the drunken glare she was shooting me, she was more pissed than embarrassed. "Rose. Why is Adrian here as a stripper?"
"Well...cus…"
"It was my idea," Adrian jumped in. "Rose didn't know what to do for fun, so I suggested coming over as a stripper and giving you a lap dance. So it would be funny and not something to be ashamed of tomorrow."
Lissa looked from Adrian and I and then slowly nodded her head. "Ok. Well what's next."
"Well…i was thinking just a normal girls night in, but I picked the movies already."
"Which are?" Viktoria piped in.
"Uh uh uh. Not yet. I need Mia to go get make the drinks, non alcoholic please. Sydney I need you to make the popcorn. Viktoria did you bring the treats? Jill did you bring the movies?" Mia and Sydney nodded their heads and got up to make the stuff. Viktoria bobbed her head up and down and pulled out the candy. Jill pulled out the two movies I had asked her to bring. "Adrian are you staying?"
"As much as I'd love to, little temptress, I have a bachelor party to go throw."
"Ok. Don't get too plastered. Please. I don't want to clean up-chuck on the aisle."
He just flashed me a smile that was innocent and mischievous all in one as he walked to the elevator. I just shook my head before checking on Lissa.
We spent the rest of the night laughing and crying to Bridesmaids and Bride Wars.
LINE BREAK
"Oh my gosh! Lissa you look...stunning!" Jill gushed as she entered the dressing room. Usually the dressing room is just for the bridal part and the parents, grandmothers, and those people, but since I'm the only family Lissa has, we decided to include Jill and Viktoria into our dressing room group. Jill came in a simple sea foam color summer dress with white polka dots. It had cutouts in her chest/neck area, and was tied at the side of her hip, with a loose skirt. She was wearing white, strappy sandals and her let down, the sides braided back to create a half up/half down look. Viktoria had on a beautiful exciting purple cocktail dress. This sheath style charmeuse dress is strapless and has a jeweled accented bust area. It came up to mid thigh, and hugged her curves. She let her hair down and wore the dress with gold, mary jane strapped heels.
"Yea, LIssa, Christian's gonna have a heart attack from how gorgeous you look!" Viktoria added, Lissa gave her a tight smile and nodded, thanking her for her compliment as she put the finishing touches on her makeup. I knew something was off with Lissa, maybe the nerves, but I also knew not to bring it up around everyone, so I went back to getting ready.
The dress Lissa ended up picking for Mia, Sydney, and I to wear was a red silk-like satin, knee-length dress, with a halter sweetheart neckline, tight ruffled bodice and waist, and a-line skirt. Except every one of us had a different dress. Mine was strapless and worn with my black stiletto pumps, while Mia's was had off the shoulder sleeves - the kind that were on the mid-upper arm only, showing your shoulder - paired with silver peeptoe stilletto heels, and Sydney's was a halter that she wore with gold sandal wedges. Mia wore her hair in her usual ringlets, looking like a porcelain doll, Sydney let her hair down in simple beach wave curls, and I let my hair fall down naturally, sweeping it over one shoulder. Lissa was still in her undergarments and robe, not wanting to get into her dress until the last possible moment.
An hour had pass while we, bridesmaids, did our make up and fixed our dress, when we heard a knock on the door.
"Knock, knock," Mason said, popping his head in, his red hair standing out against his black suit. "We came to check on the lovely bride." He entered, Eddie right behind him.
They both engulfed Lissa in a hug, Lissa gave them a slightly water smile, although I highly doubt anyone noticed. Something's really wrong here, I thought.
"You look stunning, Liss," Eddie said as he pulled away and twirled her, eliciting a giggle out of her. "Although I bet you would look out of this world with your dress on."
"Always with the corny lines," Mia mumbled beside me, downing the glass of champagne a little too hard for my liking. I just hope she didn't catch the look and smile Eddie sent to Jill, who blushed and returned the smile.
"I don't know about you, but I think Lissa looks perfectly fine in that outfit she has on," Mason said, drawing out "outfit," meaning he thought her lingerie was anything but that. Viktoria smacked in on the back of the head, while Lissa blushed a deep red, finding the tie on her robe very interesting.
"Well," I said, getting off the couch I had been on since I got my make up done first. "I think the boys being here is the perfect time for all of you to leave." A numerous amount whining pursued, Mia and Sydney wanting to help get Lissa ready, Jill and Viktoria not ready to go sit down, and Eddie and Mason doing it just to mess around. What a group, I thought. "No no. This is my job, and I want to have some time with my best friend before she leaves me with you guys for two weeks." And I want to find out what's been bugging, I added in my head. After a few more minutes of resistance, they all started to shuffle out, grabbing the flower bouquets.
"Lissa, what's wrong?" I asked once the door shut, looking at my friend, my sister, through the mirror. Lissa didn't look up and just shook her head. "I know something's wrong when everyone was complimenting you, you gave a tight smile or looked like you wanted to cry. You're not…?"
"NO!" Lissa said, looking up at me with wide eyes. "I'm just...what if you're right?"
"About…"
"Remember when we first started planning? You asked if I was moving too fast? What if I am? What if I'm rushing and this marriage won't last? I love him, Rose, I don't want to lose him."
"Hey," I said softly, sitting on the vanity table and making her look at me. "You are not rushing it. I was wrong, ok? Yea maybe it's not how I would do things, but you're hopelessly in love with someone who feels the same about you, I think it would have been weirder if you drew out the engagement. Lissa, he loves you so much, he was unbearable last night, and I was only at their apartment for an hour! So listen to me, you are going to get into that dress, and get that veil on, and you will walk that aisle without a single tear, got it? You will marry the man of your dreams and live a happy life with three kids, a cat and a dog, in a small house." This got a bubbly laugh, filled with joy and tears, but sobered up quickly.
"What if I disappointed them?" she asked quietly, fresh tears slowly coming down.
"Who?" I asked, before answering my own question. I wiped her tears away. "Oh, Liss, you haven't disappointed them. You're living the life they wanted for you. You're happy, and you're doing what makes you happy. You're getting a business degree to open your own beauty salon to make people feel beautiful and happy. The only thing that they're disappointed in is that they aren't here with you, to walk you down the aisle. To give you something old, something blue, and something borrowed. To hand you off to your husband. To give him a hard time just for the hell of it. Lissa, you are everything I want to be, you have everything I want in life, everything I didn't know I wanted until I saw what you have with Christian -"
"And until you met Dimitri," she added with a small smile. I couldn't help but smile back.
"Maybe so, but that's beside the point. I just don't want you crying anymore. It's your wedding day! You're about to wear a beautiful dress and have a gorgeous ceremony. Look, I won't say this again, and I'll never admit to saying it, but if there was anyone I'd give you off to, it'd be Christian, because I know he'll protect you and love you the way you deserve. Now will you please get over that silly mood of yours and get ready with a big ass smile, happy you're getting ready?! A bride shouldn't mope on her wedding day!" I nudged her out of her chair playfully before going to get her dress.
She gave me a sigh of exasperation, but a smile found permanent residence on her face as she touches up her makeup and walked back to where I was. I helped her step into her dress, zipping up the back. She picked a beautiful, white gown with a cinderella skirt. It had a lace embroidery top, a ribbon around her mid-waist, a bow on the side. The skirt had a ruffled design on the side and a mildly ruffled train. Since she didn't how to incorporate blue, so I suggested her getting her garter white with baby blue ribbon intricated into it. That's exactly what I helped her slide up her leg.
"You know how a bride needs something old and something borrowed," I began slowly. She nodded absentmindedly as she took in her reflection, joy glowing on her face. "Well I put them in one." I pulled out a tiny box I had secretly put in the bag that held her dress. I handed it to her, and when she opened she looked at me curiously. "I took a piece of your mother's dress, the lace part you liked, and had it put a clip to put on top of the hair comb on your veil. So it's old and borrowed." I finished with a slight water smile.
"Oh my god," she squealed as she grabbed it, running her hand along the lace. "Put it on me! Put it on me!" With a chuckle, I clipped it onto her veil and slipped it into her hair. When she turned around she let out a sound that was a gasp mixed with a cry. From the body length mirror, she gave me a watery smile, a genuine smile that showed how happy she was with the small token. Her hair was in a slight side part, pinned in a half up/half down hair do, her hair curled in. The veil was all white tulle with a hem trimmed in white ribbon and fell down below her butt.
"Now," I said, stopping a few tears that had fallen my cheek. "Let's go get married!"
She chuckled and shook her head, but followed me to the vanity table to fix our make up and head to the front of the church.
LINE BREAK
"Here ya go!" Viktoria gleefully said as she handed me my bouquet of flowers, and Jill handed Lissa's hers. We smiled at them and took our place in line just as the music started playing, telling us bridesmaids and groomsmen it was time to walk. Thankfully, Lissa changed the wedding party parings, although it demoted Mason from his best man title. So now I was walking down with Eddie, and Mason was walking with Mia. Just as Mason and Mia started walking, I turned around and pulled the top half of the veil over her face and gave a hug.
"Ok, kiz, time to walk," my father said to me, coming to Lissa's side.
"Whatever you say, old man," I responded over my shoulder as I stood next to Eddie before we walked down. In no time, Eddie and I were standing at the top of the alter and the music changed as my dad escorted Lissa down the aisle.
My face broke out into a big smile as I saw Lissa's huge smile as her eyes met Christian's. I looked over in front of me and saw a big smile on Christian's face, his eyes only focused on his soon-to-be bride. As I scanned the church, my eyes fell upon the warmest, most sincere, and most enchanting smoldering brown eyes that captured my eyes. I had a whole different smile as I looked at my boyfriend, sitting in the second row returning my smile. Part of me was slightly paying attention to the ceremony, while another part of me was in my head imagining my own wedding. In the back of my mind, I was slightly aware that man next to me on the alter held a striking resemblance to my Russian date.
Before I knew it, we were walking down the aisle again, standing in the front of the church, throwing rice and white petals, along with the rest of the guests, as the newly weds made their walked down into a carriage that went down the street and took them to the front of her childhood home, where the reception was being held. Everyone else got in their cars and followed. However, even though Lissa and Christian got there first, they were going to be the last to enter the reception. The bridal party got a limo for us and Jill and Viktoria, our dates taking the cars.
When we got there, I went upstairs to the master suite to help Lissa change while the girls made sure everyone was ready to welcome the couple. God knows where Christian ran off to.
"Knock, knock, you decent?" I joked as I opened the doors.
"Wait!" I heard a voice say. A voice that wasn't Lissa's.
"Really!" I groaned as I walked in with my hand over my eyes. "You couldn't wait until tonight! GET OUT CHRISTIAN!" I heard the shuffling of feet and mumbling of me needing to get laid. Before I could say anything, I heard the door slam shut and Lissa fall into a fit of giggles.
"That's so not cool, Liss. How soon did you get here!" I grumbled as I went and grabbed her second dress.
"Umm not that long, like 5 minutes. It's just...you know I'm sucker when he's in a suit!"
"Yea well I see you didn't get very far," I noted since Lissa was still in her dress. She blushed and started taking her veil off of her slightly messed up hair. "I'm just messing with you Lissa. He's your husband, it makes sense you guys are so passionate. Just remember that when your old and cuddly." That brought her out of her embarrassment and sent her into her own mind, her eyes having a far away look as she grinned like a fool. It took me five times calling her name for her to finally respond. In less then a minute she was out of her dress and I was helping her into the dress.
It was an slight ivory, strapless, trumpet satin dress with embroidered bodice and waist with a band around the waist. The skirt has a a tulle overlay with beaded lace patterns spaced out and trimming the hem and fell right above her knees. We fixed her hair and touched up her make up.
"Thank you," she said as I was fixing her hair.
"What?"
"Thank you. For always being there for me. And, even with her abrasive attitude, and slightly distant nature, you became my best friend and stood by my side when I needed you most and when I had no other family. You became my family, my best friend and my sister. Rosie, you're the crazy side of me I'm too scared to let out. And, you got past what you thought of Christian and let me be happy, and I know you care about him like a brother, even if you don't show it. And, to top it all off, you're happy too!"
"Lissa, when have I not been happy?" She gave me a look that asked if I really wanted her to answer it. "Actually, don't answer that."
"I mean you've finally found someone! And don't tell me you haven't been thinking about what Ambrose told you when we went to get out nails done. Rose he makes you happy. You're more open and and happy, I can't explain it because the way you are around me is different then how you usually are, but the way you are around Dimitri is like you're someone else and I love seeing that!"
"Ok Lissa," I said with a slight giggle. "Let's get you back to your husband." She grinned with a far off look when I said husband, making me full on laugh as we left the room.
LINE BREAK
Once we were done, we walked down the stairs and met up with Christian who was standing by the door that led to the patio. I left the two there as I went to tell the DJ it was time to announce them. Mia and I and the rest of our friends stood close to the door, Dimitri next to me.
"Now entering for the first time as a married couple, Christian and Lissa Ozera," the DJ announced, Christian and Lissa walking through the door as the DJ played "Chapel of Love" by The Dixie Cups. Christian, ever the romantic, pulled Lissa into his arms gracefully and did basic waltz steps to walk the rest of the way, swaying to the slow rhythm of the song. As soon as they hit the dance floor, I looked at the DJ and nodded my head. He cut the song, making the scratchy dj-y noise, before changing to the "I'm Too Sexy" by Right Said Fred just playing "I'm too sexy for my love, too sexy for my love, I'm too sexy for my shirt, too sexy for my shift." I was hunched over laughing with tears in my eyes halfway through, as was the rest of my friends. All the other guest had a confused look, while Lissa had an amused look and Christian looked annoyed. At me. I flashed him an innocent smile, trying to stop the laughter.
All the sudden, the DJ's booming laughter came through the mike. "Sorry about that, just a little playful prank from the bridal party. Now everyone please take a seat, dinner is about to be served." Everyone shuffled to their assigned seats as the servers came out with the food. It goes without saying that being food deprived, I inhaled my food the second they set it in front of me.
"Geez, Roza, people are going to think you've been held captive and starved," Dimitri joked from next to me, all our friends laughing softly.
"I was," I dryly responded, sending a mock glare to Lissa. "Someone decided it was fine to go the whole day without eating."
"You had breakfast," Sydney countered.
"At 9 in the morning," I shot back. "It's 5 in the evening now. 8. Hours."
"Well quit complaining and finish eating," Viktoria mumbled.
"You know what? No!" I said, shoving my food away. Forks clattered against the plates as my friends looked at me with utter shock and confusion. "I'm gonna dance." I grabbed Dimitri's hand and we both went to the middle of the dance floor.
"Roza, I don't know how to dance," Dimitri whispered into my ears as I wrapped his arms my waist.
I slightly turned so I could look up at him, a smirk on my face, "Good thing you don't really have to." I began swaying my hips against him, I felt his arms tighten before abruptly spinning me around, pressing my body flush against him.
"Roza," he breathed into my ear, seductively. "Don't start something you can't finish."
"Oh." I wrapped my arms around his neck, resting my forehead against his, our lips almost teaching. "I have every intention of finishing this." I closed the gap between and pressed my lips against his, our lips molding together, fitting like pieces in the puzzle. Our kiss picked up with passion as our tongues danced together, we were lost in our own world, swaying to some unknown beat as our lips moved in synch with each other.
Until someone bumped into me.
"WHAT THE-" I began to shout at the person who ruined my moment. But then I saw who it was. A very giggly Sydney. Is she drunk already? I thought.
"Oh sorry Rosie! It's just Adrian started tickling me. You know how ticklish I am." I raised my eyebrows at Adrian, who was leaning against the counter, sipping on his drink. He shrugged his shoulders.
"Sydney, sweetie, you're drunk," I said to her.
"No, I just had two shots of Vodka," she said, already sobering up. "It's the stupid tickling."
"If you say so. And Ivashkov," I said. "Try keeping your hands to yourself."
"A bit hypocritical don't you think, Hathaway?" he replied with a smirk. Thank god it was dark enough to hide my blush.
"Whatever," I replied as I turned around. "Now where were we?" I asked Dimitri, wrapping my arms around his neck.
"We were enjoying dancing to the music," he said as he placed his hands on my hips and swayed with the rhythm. And for the rest of the night that's exactly what we did.
LINE BREAK
"Have fun, Liss," I told her as I hugged her tightly before she got into the limo.
"I will. I'll see you in a few weeks."
"Ok," I said with a forced smile. I stepped back as Christian helped Lissa into the car and felt Dimitri wrap his arms around me and kiss the top of my head.
As soon as they turned the corner, the gang and I turned around and started walking back to the party, when a voice made me freeze in place.
"Where is she?" he said in an low, ice, deadly voice.
I felt Dimitri stiffen at my response as I slowly turned around. I don't think anyone else noticed because I heard their feet shuffling inside.
"Aaron," I drew out as I faced Lissa's ex boyfriend. Everyone heard me because the shuffling stopped and I heard two pairs of feet turn around. "What are you doing here?"
"Where. Is. She. Rose?" he asked, walking towards me.
"Hey dude back off," Mason said as he stood next to me, but slightly in front.
"Yea. It's over, Aaron. Go home," Eddie said on the other.
"What do you mean it's over?" He asked before looking at me with a crazy look in his eyes. "What did you do, Rose? What did you say?" He was practically shrieking at this point. Oh and waving a gun at me. Cool. No biggie. My body just froze and I felt the blood draining from my face.
"Me? Wha…why?" I stumbled before what he said started pissing me off. Really, though, why did he assume I had anything to do with it? Hell I tried breaking up Lissa and Christian when they started dating. I mean why does everyone assume I have to do with what happens? And who does he think he is waving the gun around? He could seriously hurt someone! "Dimitri take everyone inside and make sure no one comes out the front."
"Roza…" he began before I cut him off by shaking my head.
"This is something only Mason, Eddie and I can handle." I turned my head a bit to look at him and pleaded with him with my eyes. "Please," I whispered. His eyes told me how torn he was but he nodded his head and broke away from me, ushering everyone inside. I turned back around and faced Aaron."Look I don't know what you're problem is but this is a private party and you need to leave."
"Not until you tell me where she is!"
"Who?" I said, playing dumb, hoping it wouldn't backfire.
"Lissa," he said through gritted teeth. "You took her away from me, you coniving bitch and pushed her into that freaks arms. Now where is she?" He started shouting her name at the house behind me. Eddie pushed him back to shut him up.
"Shut up! She's not here. She.." he began to say, hesistating before telling him the truth. "She left for her honeymoon with Christian."
"What?" he growled.
"Aaron, just give it up. It's been five years. Just go home, man," Mason said softly, trying to go about this in a different way.
"No, I can't," Aaron said stubbornly, shaking his head. "And it's all you're fault. And you're going to pay." His hand steadied and he pointed his gun at me. All the training Dimitri gave me flew out the window as I froze in place, my eyes zeroing in on the gun.
"Aaron, calm down. Just put the gun down," Eddie said calmly as he approached the maniac, his hands open and in front of him. Without breaking his gaze from me, Aaron growled and pistol whipped Eddie. Wide-eyed, I saw Eddie blackout and collapse on the floor. In a matter of seconds, four things happened.
First, I came to terms with my fate. I silently bid farewell to my friends and my boyfriend, wishing I had told him how I really felt about it him. I prayed that they would life their life and move on from my departure. And I wished that it would be quick and painless.
Next, out of no where, Aaron got hit with a highly pressured water that seemed to come from a hose. The water hit him straight in the chest, making him lose balance and control of the gun.
Then, Mason and I took advantage of the situation and lunged to get the gun from Aaron's hand, landing on top of Aaron and restraining him. A piercing noise rang out…
BANG.
BANG.
A/N: DUN. DUN. DUN! Who got shot? Did ANYONE get shot? Well...if you want Rose or Dimitri to make it to chapter 20 leave me a review...about the wedding, the ending, the bachlorette party, or simply the dresses worn...anything :)
P.S. I really want to apologize for not sticking to the schedule I had made when I started this story. I got a job that started on Black Friday, but for three weeks after my sister's party I've been working everyday from 8 hours, so my writing time was severely cut down and when I could write I'd be so exhausted I couldn't even write "LINE BREAK"...but really there's no excuse and I'm hoping to make it up to you in the chapter's to come
P.P.S. I promise you a summary of the story I'm working on with DEE2389 and here it is
