(before Rose goes to the Belikov's)

DING. DONG. "I'll get it," I called out to no one in particular as I ran down the stairs. Part of me, really all but a sliver of me, was hoping that Dimitri was on the other end. That small sliver was shouting that it was probably my dad or anyone else, but it for sure wasn't my Comrade. I swung the door open, my curveless smile turning to a full on frown when I saw the four people at the door.

"Aw c'mon, Rose, turn that frown upside down.," Mia said as she walked in and tried turning my frown into a smile. "Frown uses more smiles and causes wrinkles, you know."

"Like I care," I grumbled. "What are you guys doing here?"

"Your dad called us," Sydney said as she dumped a big brown paper bag on the coffee table. "What happened?"

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"Rose," Jill said delicately. "We know it has to do with Dimitri and that you've been hole up in your room the whole day. You can tell us what happened."

"Or I will," Vika said as she looked through the bag before looking up at Mia. "Can I?"

"Yea sure," she said. Vika took out pint after pint of different Ben & Jerry flavors, handing them to everyone the one they picked. When it came to me, she handed me…"Chocolate Therapy. We couldn't decide on which chocolate one to get until I saw this one. Seemed perfect, no?"

"Yea it is," I said with a small smile. How did I get so lucky to have them as friends? I thought as I read the label. "Chocolate Therapy: Chocolate ice cream with chocolate cookies & swirls of chocolate pudding ice cream...sounds perfect. Thanks guys. What did you get?"

"I got Piña Colada," Mia began to say before I muttered "doesn't surprise me," earning me a glare. "And," she continued, raising her voice over me. "Viktoria got Karamel Sutra." I rolled my eyes and laughed. "While Sydney got Banana Split and Jill got Hal Baked, basically cookie dough."

"Aw you guys are no fun!" I playfully whined. "What else did you guys get?"

"Just some movies," Sydney said. "Nothing big. Just romance movies that make you cry."

I groaned and covered my face with a sofa pillow. "Abe told you, didn't he?" I said, muffled by the pillow."

"Kinda," Jill admitted. "He just said something happened with Dimitri and you came back home and needed us tonight." I couldn't help but smile into the pillow. As much as I don't like Abe muddling, I'm happy he cares enough to get my friends over here when I needed them most. So with a heavy sigh, I brought the pillow down and told them everything. From the wonderful date to my first time to the I love you's to brunch and ending with Tasha's spilling the beans about his promotion. No one spoke for a while, even for Viktoria some of this was new.

"I don't even know how I'm suppose to react. Part of me is happy for you because of everything that went on that night, but part of me is pissed about last night. Most of all I'm just sad that you had to go through that and I'm ready for romance, even if it is in the movie."

"I agree," I said. "So what's the first movie?"

We started with The Notebook, then Clueless, A Walk to Remember, Sweet Home Alabama and ended Penelope. It actually felt nice to have someone else have relationship issues, even if they did work them out in the end. It also felt nice to have my four closest friends with me, taking my grief as theirs and being there for me. We all slept in the living room, my dad brought out blankets and pillows like he would in high school. Then, in the morning we made waffles and french toast for breakfast before everyone but Vika left. Nikolai was late in picking her up.

Viktoria POV

(also before when Rose comes over to the Belikov's)

"Mama is that Dimka's truck out front?" I asked as I came home. After Niko picked me up from Roza's we spent the whole day together, coming home in the late afternoon.

"Yes it is," my mama responded as she came out of the kitchen. "Oh hi Nikolai. Did you guys have a fun time?"

"Yes we did Ms. Belikova. After I-" Niko began before I cut him off.

"Where are they?" I asked my mom.

"Who?" she asked.

"Dimka and Roza! He's here because they made up right?" I asked, my voice hopeful.

"Dimka's out back, but Vika..." she was saying, but I didn't hear the end because I bolted through the house and out back to the shed.

The door was slightly opened so I could see it was Dimitri and Ivan. Where's Rose? I thought, remembering how I didn't notice her in the house. As I took in Dimitri's appearance, I realized he looked as good as Roza did, his eyes gloomy and sad, a lost sense in them like he doesn't know what to do. Oddly enough, it's the same look Rose's eyes held, but hers was better hidden. My brother's face was scruffy like he hasn't shaved and his hair, oh god his hair that was usually straight and sleek and very well kept, was now with the ends pointed in every direction. Poor brother, I thought, guessing things still haven't been resolved.

"Hey," Ivan said slowly, like he wasn't sure if he should keep going. "So what are going to do with Rose?"

"I don't even know what to do!" my brother said, groaning in annoyance and anger. "I won't be able to look at her without feeling guilty."

"What if you talk to her? I'm sure she'll take you back."

"And tell her what?" Umm maybe I'm sorry for being an idiot, I thought. "I don't even know what happened!"

"Or didn't happen," Ivan countered. "I mean you didn't even get to say your part after Tasha dropped the bomb. Unless you caught up with her outside…"

"No I didn't. I'm not talking about that. I mean what I woke up to…"

"Um…well…" Ivan stuttered.

"Exactly. I can't remember a solid thing aside from waking up to her in my bed, naked, what else am I suppose to think? More importantly, how am I suppose to get Rose back if I did something like that..." I froze in place, my emotions all over the place, even though none of them are positive.

"I still don't get what happened. I mean after Rose ran out, why didn't you go after her?"

"Because Tasha said that it would make things worse, that I should wait for Rose to calm down and come back. But she never did, so I went out to see if she was still there. And then I called Abe and he said she went to his house."

"Ok and then what happened?"

"Tasha came out and found me and convinced me to let her drive me home. And then she came into my apartment and then we started drinking." Ivan gave him a look that told him to continue. My brother's face paled as he continued. "And then I don't remember anything until I wake up the next morning with a pounding headache and her in my bed." Oh. my. god, I thought, what did he do?!

"Well I'm-"

"YOU SLEPT WITH TASHA!" I screamed outraged, as I barged inside. Both Dimitri and Ivan looked up like deers caught in the headlight.

"Vika! How long have you been standing there?" my brother asked.

"Long enough to know that you don't deserve Rose or all the love she has for you. How can you stand here and whine about losing Rose when you went to bed with the first woman to open her legs while Rose probably cries herself to bed thinking she did something wrong or that she was too fast. She puts up a front of being ok and dealing with things, but I saw the longing and jealousy in her eyes when we saw all the movies with happy endings. I hope she doesn't find out what you did and I suggest you stay away from her," I said, my face red with anger.

"Wait, Vika, it's-"

"It's not what?! What it seems like? How do you know? You don't even know what it is!" I turned around and went back inside.

"Vika, hear me out," my brother pleaded, his eyes filled with anguish.

"Why should i! So you can manipulate me to understand you and be on your side?" I shouted. I heard people walking towards, but I could honestly care less. "I am so ashamed to call you my brother! I looked up to you, I dreamed that whatever guy I fell in love with would be half the man you are! And look how you turned! You cheated on my best friend with the woman who ruined your relationship! How could you even let her into your home? Why do you even keep her in your life?"

"Vika, it's not that easy to explain."

"Actually, Dimitri," I began, hurt flashed through his eyes at the sound of me using his full name. "It is that easy. You are a sorry excuse of a man and a hypocrite. I can't believe you're my brother, because the Dimitri I grew up with you never do something like that, especially to the woman he supposedly loves. You better stay away from Rose, she's more of a sister to me than you are a brother and I'll always be on her side. Stay away, or I swear I'll tell her so that she can stop hurting for you. How could you do something like that? You're nothing and you''re no brother of mine! As of now, you're dead to me!"

"Viktoria!" my mother shouted from behind me. Shit, I thought as I turned and faced her. "How dare you speak to your older brother like that! You're suppose to show him respect. You're suppose to be there for him when he's down, not beat him. I didn't raise you like that. Now apologize and get back inside and help me with dinner."

"No," I said in calmer, lower tone. "Respect is earned, not given, Mama. You taught me that. He's not the saint we all thought he was, and he most definitely doesn't deserve my respect." I glared at him with disgust. "I'm not going to apologize. And I'm not going to stay around to hear him twist the story so he comes out like the victim." I walked past my mother and grabbed Niko's hand.

"But Vika, we just go here," he began. "And there's nothing we can really do, I mean my parents are out for the night because I told them we'd be having dinner here."

"Well I can think of a few things we can do," I said as we got into the house. My sisters had been crowded around the door that leads to the backyard, their mouths slacked as they looked at me in awe. I guess everyone heard me.

"Oh," he said, finally getting that it wasn't up for argument.

Lissa POV

"Where's Rose?" Viktoria whispered as we gathered around the empty grave. I bit my lip and squeezed Christian's arm tighter. No one knew that Rose left early. Only reason I found out was because she was suppose to pick us up but instead we got Abe.

"She's…uh…she was around here I swear I saw," I said, glad my eyes were hiding behind my sunglasses.

"Yea," Christian said. "She probably ran off somewhere with Belikov."

"No she's not. You're lying. Where is she?" Viktoria asked again.

"Wait, how do you…?" I asked, wondering why she wouldn't believe that.

"Dimitri and Rose broke up like two weeks ago. So where is she?" I looked at Christian, his confused eyes matching mine.

I let out a sigh before answering, "She left for LA about two weeks ago. Why did she break up with Dimitri?"

"It's...he...I…" she struggled for the right words before something caught her eye and her face folded in a scowl. "Excuse me."

I turned around and saw her stomping over to where Dimitri was standing. He looked his sister with a slight smile but his expression changed when he saw her anger. He seemed a bit taken a back by her reaction and as I scooted a bit closer, I noticed she was talking to him in an angry, disapproving tone in Russian and he'd reply calmly in the same language. It wasn't until a woman with black hair that looked familiar came up next to him that Viktoria lost it and full on started yelling at him, and her by the look in her eyes.

"Why's my aunt here?" Christian whispered. I looked closely at the woman and was as surprised as my husband to see her there with Dimitri.

"Isn't she friends with Dimitri and his family?" I asked.

"I don't know, but we should go see what's going on." I nodded my head and we made our way to them while Mason's parents and close family said their last farewells before the minister came.

"Uh what's going on guys?" I asked.

"Oh nothing," Tasha said sweetly, wrapping her hands on Dimitri's shoulder. I narrowed my eyes at the gesture, wishing I could burn that closeness away. My mind started racing with an explanation of what it could mean, but I was praying I was wrong and Dimitri wasn't a bad guy.

"Lissa, please tell them to leave," Viktoria said, glaring at her brother.

"He was my friend too, Vika," he replied smoothly.

"And I've known him longer than you two have," Tasha chimed in, before shutting her mouth when Viktoria's stare turned on her.

"Look I don't know what's going on, and I appreciate your thoughtfulness in coming, but none of you had the relationship we had with him, and weren't close to him. Dimitri, Rose isn't here so I'm sorry if you came here to try to work things out with her, but I'm going to have to ask both of you to leave," I said firmly, feeling a bit of pity for the look of hurt and longing that passed through Dimitri's eyes when I mentioned Rose.

"Fine," Tasha said before spinning around and going back to her car. Dimitri, however hung back.

"Where is she? I would have thought she'd be here after I saw how much it had an impact on her."

"Yes, well, she uhh left," I said evasively.

"She went back to California didn't she?"

"Yea after an unfortunate sighting, she caught the first plane back," Viktoria spit out before turning her back on him and walking away, pulling me with her. I looked over to see his head hung low, his shoulders hunch and shaking. He then wiped his hands on his face and retreated back to his truck.

"What was that about?" I asked her.

She opened her mouth like she was going to tell me, but then thought better of it and instead said, "Nothing. He um walked into my room at the wrong time and I've been mad at him since." Before I could say anything else the minister walked up and the small ceremony began. I was too worried about Rose and what happened to Dimitri to fully comprehend I was burying one of my oldest friends.

A/N: Uh oh. Viktoria doesn't seem very happy. Safe to say, she's probably reacting how all of you guys did/are...am I right? Leave me a review and tell me if you liked the scenes and if they helped? Can you guys guess what's going to happen

And is there's anything else you'd like (like someone's reaction or anything like that)?
