"Well that was weird," I muttered as I walked into the kitchen, letting my nose guide me to sweet heaven. By the time I walked in, my mouth was watering. "Is that pizza I smell?"

"Yes it is," said our chef, Olga. "I went by the market today and found some things I could put together in the pizza. There's caramelized onions, mozzarella, fontal cheese, green olives, I made a balsamic vinaigrette, and there's…"

"Brussels sprouts?" I asked, my face twisting in disgust.

"Yes, Rose, brussels sprouts. Just try it." I held my reservations but took a bite no less. And oh my taste buds were soaring. It was a bit tart because of the brussels sprouts, but it was still delicious enough to taste past that. Her face broke into a smile. "Told you it was good. I also made a salad of mixed greens with fresh d'art pears, toasted hazelnuts, and a citrus dressing."

"You know with all this healthy crap, one would think you're trying to tell me I'm fat."

She let out a heartfelt laugh. "Far from it. I just wanted to show you how good healthy food can be. Plus, the deals were so good I couldn't pass them up."

"Hmm well I guess you have a point," I said as I served myself a few slices and filled half my plate with the salad. "But to even it out, I'm going to grab some Coke." She shook her head but said nothing. "Hey have you seen my dad?"

"Yea he went to his office after your friends came over." I nodded my head and put together a second plate, asking Olga to carry the drinks, and went to his office. I lightly tapped my foot on the door and waited for him to tell us to come in.

"Kiz, what's this?"

"Healthy food," I said with a smile. "Olga here thinks we're getting fat. Can you believe that, old man?" I set one of the plates in front of him and put my plate on the other side before taking the drinks from Olga, who excused herself shortly after.

"Thank you for bringing me dinner, but you don't have to stay. I know you probably have plans with your friends," he said as he put his paperwork to the side.

"No its fine, baba. I actually wanted to stay in and have dinner with you. So how's work?" I asked, soon after we fell into an easy conversation about work, and my mom, and school.

"Rose, why aren't you packing? Shouldn't you be getting ready to leave in a few days?" he asked once we finished eating.

"Well…actually…I'm not going back," I said, tentatively. "I transferred over to university here. It's not that I didn't like the school it's just I missed you and my friends more."

"Uh huh, or you wanted to be close to a certain Russian."

"Well, he did play into the decision a little bit. Honestly though, seeing how Lissa planned her wedding in a few months just so I could be there really sealed the deal. I don't want to have to fill every minute with some activity with my friends because I'm not going to see them for four months. I want to have the option to just stay home and eat brussels sprouts pizza with my dad."

He smiled. "Well I'm glad you're staying home. Are you going to move into an apartment? I'm sure Sydney would like that. And maybe even Jill."

"Oh no. I rather stay here than be the single third wheel. I'm fine, baba, really."

"Have you talked to Dimitri? Or Joshua since the christmas party?"

"No. Joshua tried calling after he landed back home but I kept ignoring the calls so he stopped a few days ago. And well I haven't really talked to Dimitri either, but it's not because I'm ignoring him," I said defensively when I saw him give me a pointed look. "I just…how do you do it? Go from people who just met and got to know each other a bit before going out to breaking up over lies and secrets and hating him to friends? I just, I don't know, need time I guess. And I have until this weekend to figure it out."

"Why? What's this weekend?"

"Ivan's girlfriend's birthday. And Dimitri and I are on the guest list. Do you think it was stupid of me to agree to be friends with him?"

"I think you can't move on if you still had negative feelings towards him. I'm not excusing what he did, but if what he told you was true and you believe him then I don't see why you can't have a healthy friendship. Kiz, I just want you to be happy and I think right now you need to take some time to yourself. No guys. No dates. Just Rose. Go out and have fun with your friends. Every being single."

"You're just saying that because you'r afraid off losing your little girl," I said in an attempt to lighten the mood.

"Damn straight I am," he said before flashing me a smile. "But also because I think you keep forgetting that you're only 20, and even if your friends seem to have found their soul mates, doesn't mean you have to go running around finding one. And I'm not saying that's what you have been doing. Just, enjoy being by yourself, ok?"

"Ok," I said before walking around his desk and kissing his cheek. "I'll be in my room if you need me."

"What are you doing here?" I asked when I saw Dimitri in my living room.

He looked at me confused, taking in my look. My hair was up in a messy bun and I had on short PJ shorts and a long sleeve that fell off my shoulder. Don't ask, but I can't wear pants to sleep. "What am I doing here? Why aren't you ready?"

He looked at me again and I could see lust starting to cloud his eyes but he looked away to regain himself. He looked like he was going to say something but then the kitchen timer went off. He grabbed my hand, muttering how this would have to do.

"Wait…where are we-" I myself off when I see the beautiful table set in the kitchen with a single rose and long white candle in the middle, two plates set opposite each other with a glass half filled with wine. He pulled my seat back and waited until I sat down to scooted me in. He went to the kitchen and took the chicken out of the oven

"Why are you doing this? I thought we agreed to just be friends," I said, even though on the inside my heart was warmed to see him doing this.

"Friends? Roza, it's our anniversary," he said warily as he sat down. Sure enough when I looked, my left ring finger had on a gorgeous diamond engagement ring and wedding band.

"Wait...we...we're...married? How long?"

He looked at me weirdly before taking my face in his hands. "Roza, milaya, are you ok?" Then a flash of hurt passed through his eyes. "You forgot our anniversary." It was a statement but I nodded my head as if it was a question. "It's our 3rd anniversary but I understand. You have been busy with Lissa and her baby."

I don't know why but I got up from my seat and straddled him, giving him a soft but sensual kiss. "It doesn't matter. I shouldn't forget."

"God, I love you," he said before he kissed me back, rougher and more demanding before pulling away and shrugging his shoulders. "I guess you'll just have to make up for it," he said as he stood up, lifting me with him and crashing his lips down to mine as he walked me to the room. I murmured an I love you against his lips.

**WARNING! WARNING! M-RATED SCENE ABOUT TO COMMENCE!**

When he got there, he laid me down, pulling my shorts down and his undoing his pants, his lips never leaving my lips. While his hands roamed under my shirt, his lips made a trail from my jaw down to my neck, sucking on my soft spot behind my ear. I let out a soft moan as my breast arched against his chest.

When my shirt was all scrunched up to my braless breast, he pulled away and took it off. I leaned up, resting against my elbows to make it easier, and then I fall back on the bed. I looked at him, biting back the moan, when I saw him hastily unbutton his shirt and throwing it on the floor.

"I love you Roza," he said before leaning back down where he started kissing me from my stomach up, a trail of fire left in his wake.

"I love you too Comrade," I breathed out, eyes closed as he kept kissing.

When he reached my breast he kissed the valley in between before latching on to one of my breast, sucking it, grazing with his teeth, running his tongue over my nipple. And his hand was on the other, massaging it and rubbing two fingers against my nipples. I had no control of my body. The way my hands snaked into his hair, pulling him closer, while my hips rubbed against his hard member, feeling just how turned on and ready his way.

"Oh god Dimitri," I moaned out as I say up and flipped us around. I took my thong off before I slowly pulled off his boxers, my eyes never leaving his, and then I climbed on top of him. I rubbed my wet, aching pussy against his hard, throbbing clock, grinning when he moaned my name.

"Stop teasing, Roza," he warned as he grabbed my hips and lifted me. Slowly he lifted himself, entering me perfectly and then sliding out. I bit my lips, but that wasn't enough to stop me from groaning at how good it felt to have him. Taking control, I kept the tempo slow, having him meet me halfway every time, before picking it up. I felt my body begin to tighten, telling me I was almost at my breaking point. Dimitri noticed it too because then he shifted us, getting back on top and began thrusting, keeping the fast tempo. My legs tighten around his waist while I tried to postpone releasing.

"Di...Di...oh god," I gasped out, feeling my control slip the faster and harder he went. He lowered himself and placed soft kisses on my bare shoulder up to my neck then to my ear, nibbling it and causing me to shiver. All while keeping his pace.

"Let go," he whispered huskily into my ear. And with that accent, how could I not comply? He came seconds after, riding both our organs out. After, he collapsed next to me, wrapping his arms around me and pulling me to his chest, murmuring my name.

**M-SCENE OVER**

"Roza?" I heard him sleepingly say through the phone. The phone? I sat up in my bed, pulling the blankets back because I was hot and sweaty, my hair sticking to my face and my breathing short and labored. It was a dream. I felt my heart drop at the realization. "Roza is everything ok?" Remembering he was on the phone I took a deep breath before answering.

"Yea. Did I call you?" I don't remember calling him, but then again I just dreamed we were married for 3 years. "I...I..." I couldn't find anything to say and then I just broke down crying. For what I don't know, but I felt like whatever emotions I had from the dream where getting away with every tear that ran down my face. And it was relieving.

"Shh. It's ok. Whatever it was. It wasn't real," he said softly. And that was the problem. It wasn't real. It was just a dream. He probably thought I was having a nightmare. He didn't know that it was a blissful dream that'll never become a reality. "I'm happy you called though. Kind of a coincidence really."

I sniffle the last of my tears before asking why.

"Cus...um...I uhh may of had a dream about you," he replied, I could hear the bashfulness in his voice and couldn't stop myself from chuckling. "Honest. It was a weird dream though."

"Oh yea what was it?"

"I rather not say." Did he have the same kind of dream as me? I laughed inside at how unlikely that was.

"Aw c'mon! I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours."

He thought about for a second before responding.

"Fine. I dreamed it was our 3rd anniversary and you forgot. Like forgot we were even married. And then one thing led to another which led to us in bed and then you called," he said, rushing out the last sentence. Holy shit, I thought. He had the same dream. I chewed on my bottom lip, hoping he didn't remember I promised to share my dream. But as fate would have it, he remembered and asked me about it.

"Oh umm I dreamed about rainbow-climbing, arrow-shitting unicorns," I said, remembering my psychology professor mentioning dreams being weirder than that.

"Oh really? Then why did you choke when you heard about my dream?"

"Umm because it's a very weird dream. And I don't like you thinking of me that way."

"Not thinking more like remembering."

"Uh I don't remember it starting with me on top going slow and steady and then fast and heavy."

"Really?" He asked, amusement clear in his voice. "Cus I don't remember saying you were on top. Roza, you had the same dream didn't you."

"Uhhhhhh," I said cleverly. "Look Dimitri I'm very tired. And hot. So goodnight, Dimitri."

"I'll see you tonight, Roza."

"So how was your late night call with Belikov?" my dad said after I got my glass of water. I jumped and choked on my water before turning around to face him.

"Baba! What the hell! And how did you...wait…it was you!"

"Of course I was me. I heard you moaning and saying his name. I wasn't sure what kind of dream it was but I thought maybe talking to him would help."

"I...you...I... I'm going to sleep." Except when I got to bed, sleep was the last thing on my mind.

"Hi, I think the reservation is under Ivan…Zeklos," I said when I got in and was welcomed by the host. He nodded his head and had one of the waiters walk me to the table, where everyone already was seated and talking amongst themselves. Great, leave it to me to be fashionably late.

"Oh Rose you made it!" Ivan said. "Rose, these are Cassidy's parents. Rob and Maira, this is Rose, she's a friend of ours." We greeted each other and I took the empty seat. Right in between Dimitri and Viktoria.

Right before I was able to sit down, I heard Viktoria let out a wolf whistle. Blushing, I glared at her. "What?" she asked innocently. "Not my fault you look sexy. Right big brother?" I quickly looked at him, and saw his cheeks get as pink as mine, coughing and drinking some water before nodding is head.

"Sexy? I was trying to go for cute…pretty…something innocent," I said with a pout while I mildly twirled in my dress. And it was true. I picked out my RED Valentino floral print dress, that had a black undertone on the torso and white undertone on the skirt. I added a black belt to hug it at my waist. It was sleeveless while a little form fitting on the top, the skirt flared out beautifully. Now maybe the heels weren't the most innocent shoes in the world, but I thought thenude t-strap 6 inch heels paired perfectly with the dress, and I even let my hair down in it's natural waves only putting on a nude headband.

Viktoria let out a laugh. "Rose…you and innocent don't go together. You look sexy."

"She's right, you look stunningly beautiful," Dimitri said as he pulled out my chair. I mildly hesitated, a sense of déjà vu passing over me as I sat down and let him slide my chair in.

"Happy Birthday, Cass. I didn't know what to get you, but I hope you like this," I said as I got out an envelope from my black clutch and handed it to her. I didn't know what to get her so I got her a gift card for the boutique.

"Oh Rose it's perfect, I saw what you guys showcased at the fashion show and now I can go get my favorites. New year new wardrobe."

"That's my motto," I joked before pointing something else out. "I didn't know you and Ivan went. That's embarrassing."

"Ivan didn't go, but it's not embarrassing. You were lovely and you looked gorgeous and like an angel."

At that time the waiter came to take our order, he started with Vika and made his way around, asking me last.

"Rose, would you like usual?" I nodded my head. He didn't look familiar, which made me wonder if they had a wall with faces of frequent diners and their order underneath.

"The usual? How often do you come here?" Vika asked when he went away.

"Oh, well in high school my dad would treat me to dinner here if I got good grades so we'd come twice a year at least and when I left for college we'd come as a welcome home and goodbye dinner. For the most part he'd get something different, while I ordered the same thing and always tried his food. Sometimes I'll get something on that's a special, but I mostly get this."

"So this is your favorite restaurant?" Cassey asked. I shrugged my shoulders.

"It's definitely at the top of my list. It's funny, coming here in high school I'd tell my dad that the only way I'd get married is if he took me here and proposed to me and my dad would laugh and say that means I'm setting my standards high."

"So do you have a boyfriend, Rose?" Maira asked as the waiter poured everyone a glass of red wine. I saw the waiter, who was very appealing to the eye and looked to be about my age, take his time as he served, his eyes on me like he wanted to know the answer. I think Dimitri noticed too because he hooked his foot around my chair's foot and dragged me a bit closer.

"Actually," I said as I kicked his foot away and returned my seat back. "I don't."

"I find that hard to believe," Rob said. "A pretty young woman as yourself surely has a line of young men behind you."

I let out a laugh and shook my head as I took a sip of my wine. "Well if they are, I haven't seen them. Plus, I'm not really looking for a boyfriend. School's about to start in a few days and I'd like to settle into my classes before going out and getting a boyfriend."

"Smart woman," Maira said. "I can see you have your head on straight. Your parents raised you well." I smiled in gratitude but didn't say anything since our food came out. We ate in silence, having small chatter about school, who's studying what and where, what we want to do after graduation, and who graduated with what and where and what they're doing now. It was actually a very pleasant dinner, almost seemed like this whole friendship thing could work between Dimitri and I.

Until the band started playing.

Ivan, Rob, and Niko got up and took their lady's hand and led them to the small dance floor. I slouched back into my chair, part of me hoping Dimitri's a gentlemen and asks me if I'd like to dance while the part scolds me for wanting that. It didn't help that the melodies were beautiful and I found myself swaying to it.

"Would you like a dance?" I heard a deep voice say behind me. I knew it wasn't Dimitri because he's still sitting next to me, glaring at whoever it was. I turned around and saw it was the waiter.

"Uh, I want to say I would, but I'm not in the mood and I'm wearing the wrong shoes," I said, with a small smile as I poked my leg out from under the table. "Maybe later."

He nodded his head, knowing later wouldn't happen, and walked away. I went back to silently watching my friends slow dancing with their loved ones until the set finished. I saw Dimitri get up and I looked up at him with a questioning look. He held his hand out and I looked at it, very confused.

"Can I have this dance?" he asked as the band started the riff for a new song. While my mind was confused and uncertain, my body was so sure as my hand placed itself in his and he helped me get up.

"You heard me when I said I wasn't in the mood, right?" I asked him once I was standing, a few inches shorter than him thanks to my heels.

"Yes, but this is a new song, and I know you were in the mood, you just didn't want to dance with him."

"Right, cus you know me so well," I said sarcastically. He tugged on the hand he was holding, pulling me flush against him and bent his head so his lips were right next to my ear.

"Don't you forget it," he whispered. I tried to pull away, but he held onto my hand tightly and his arm wrapped around my waist, securing me close to him.

He didn't bother walking to the dance floor before he began swaying us side to side. He stayed at the same pace of the slow tempo of the music, his moves graceful and polished. After a few steps, he took a step back and twirled me before returning me back into his arms. I rested my free hand on his shoulder, resting my head on his shoulder as we went back to our side stepping. Everything about him wrapped around me, his arm around my waist, his head rested on top of mine, his scent wafting all around me, sending me into a blissful unawareness of my surroundings. I don't know when the song ended, but it didn't matter because we kept moving to our own beat.

"Roza," he said softly, almost like he didn't want to ruin the moment.

"Mhmm?"

"Stan's having an unofficial retirement party in a few weeks, and he made of mention of how much he'd love to have you there. Would you like to join me?"

"Like a date?" I asked. I felt him shrug his shoulder as I thought about it. Friends are each other's dates to parties right? "Yea sure, just tell me when and where so I know how to dress and stuff." He nodded and didn't say anything else as we kept dancing.
