A/N: Thanks for all the wonderful reviews! Also, my Bring Me Back to Life readers: Sorry for no new updates! I should have one up this weekend. It's just the chapter's a bit hard to write, but I finally got my mojo back so I'm almost done :)
Disclaimer: I don't own any VA characters and the idea belongs to DEE2389
Waking up was ten times better than in the cabin. For starters, I didn't have a headache. And I had a hot, naked Russian hugging me him. Actually, that made getting up kind hard. After a few minutes of watching him sleep, looking like a little boy, I managed to weasel my way out, slipping on my robe. On my way to the door, I caught a glimpse of the roses laying on my desk. Smiling, I allowed myself a few moments inhaling the sweet scent when I felt big hands wrap around my waist and their body press against mine. Did I mention it was a naked body?
"I thought we agreed you weren't walking out again," he whispered into my ear. Putting the flowers in the vase, I took my time turning around with a smile on my face. Slowly, my eyes trailed up from his firm, chiseled chest to his deep, brown eyes. I wrapped my arms around his neck and gave him a soft kiss.
"I just wanted breakfast," I said innocently, looking up at him through my eyelashes. Pulling me into fierce kiss, I didn't realize he lifted me until I felt him laying me down on the bed.
"We'll get food later. I'm not done with you." He placed his hands on my knee, slowly running them higher, while his lips lightly kissed my neck.
"We have to get out sooner or later. What if Lissa or Andre come early?"
"They are not coming anytime soon."
Propping myself up on my elbows, I gave a pointed look. "You basically gave Andre the green card to take things to the next level with your baby sister."
"No. Unlike here, at my house he has my father, my mother, my sisters, one of whom is pregnant, and my grandmother. Believe me, he's sleeping no where near my sister."
"How are you so sure?"
"Because I got Paul to ask him to stay in his room. And well let's just say no one says no to Paul Belikov."
"I don't know if I should be scared of you or amazed."
"How about you just love me?" he said before starting up a heated make out session that had me wanting more. I gasped against his lips when I felt him undo the tie and open up my robe, a rush of cold air hitting my wet core, but in turned into a moan when his hands ran down my stomach and started massaging me there. "Someone's ready for round two."
"Don't you mean round four?" I teased as I ran my hand down his body. Smirking, he leaned down for another kiss, this one having me grab his hair and pulling him closer. My legs wrapped around him as my core slowly rubbed against him. Groaning, he pinned my hips to the bed, intensifying the kiss as he placed himself at my entrance.
"Rose?" my mother said softly as she knocked and opened my door. Aw shit, I thought as I tried too late to cover up, only having time for Dimitri to get off me. "ROSEMARIE HATHAWAY WHAT IN THE DEVIL'S NAME IS GOING ON IN HERE!"
"Uh it's not what it seems?" I said, but it came out as question as I sat up and closed my robe. Her eyes slit as she glared me, telling me she wasn't in the mood for jokes. "I…I can explain."
"I want both of you downstairs, dressed, in five minutes. Five. Minutes," she said before turning around and leaving.
"So much for having it all planned out," I grumbled as I got up and grabbed some clothes.
"Hey, wait," he said softly, turning me so I'd face him and caressing my cheek until I looked up at him. "I'm sorry. I didn't know she came back."
"Well I didn't know she was coming over," I said softly, pulling away. "But we should get ready."
"Wait," he said again as he grabbed my waist and pulled me against him, placing a short, hard kiss against my lips. "Good morning, Roza."
"Morning, Comrade," I smiled, pecking his lips quickly before getting ready.
"Mom…" I said slowly, testing the waters, as Dimitri and I came into the kitchen, holding hands.
"How long?" was all she said, not looking up from her cup.
"What?"
"How long have you been…" she trailed off, not wanting to say the word.
"Having sex?" I offered, feeling my blunt, snappy attitude coming into play. "It's none of your concern."
"Of course it is! I'm your mother!" she said, looking up at me. That sent me over the edge. First she comes unexpected and all but forces me to leave for winter break. Then she walks in on me and gets all pissed. Now, she's pulling the mom card? The fuck she is. I felt Dimitri run his hands down my arm, murmuring 'Roza" to try and calm me down, but nothing would stop this dam from breaking.
"My mom? Now you're my mom? Your only my mom when it suits you! Were you my mom when you decided to take that job and leave me to take care of myself and my two best friends? Were you my mom when Mr. and Mrs. Dragomir died and I needed someone to lean on? Were you my mom when I won third place in the race a few weeks ago? You don't get to use that as your reason for barging into my life unannounced. His mom has been more of a mother in the past three months than you have been the last seventeen years!" I said. I could see her about to talk, but I didn't let her. "No. You yelled at Abe, whoever the fuck that is, about not having the right to barge into someone's life after leaving, when you just did the same goddamn thing!"
"So this is what this is about?" she finally said, her once wide eyes narrowing. "You're having sex because you can."
"That's what you got from what I said?"
"You live without any authoritative figure, so you think you can do whatever you want and so you're sleeping around like a -"
She didn't get a chance to finish that sentence before my palm connected with her cheek. I was so pissed I didn't even feel anything.
"Get. Out." I said through my teeth.
"Excuse me?"
"I said. Get. The. Fuck. Out! I want you out of my house and out of my life!"
"This isn't your house."
"According to Eric's deed and will, it is. 20% of everything he owns is mine. So again, I say, Janine Hathaway, I want you off my property."
"Rose…"
"NO! You don't get to come in here and judge me. You don't get to act like a mother when the most motherly thing you've even done is give birth to me. I don't even know who the hell my father is because of you."
"That not-"
"I don't care why he left, because I rather have that happen then what I grew up with. I mean I don't know his name. I don't even have a picture of him. All I know is he's from Turkey and his genes were more dominant since I look nothing like you."
"Rose…"
"WHAT PART OF NO DON'T YOU GET! I don't want to hear anything you have to say. I know you don't care, but do you know it took us two weeks to finally go on our first date because I was hell bent on winning something at that race? Do you know that even though Lissa, Andre, and I live here alone, Olena makes us dinner every night and Nathan and Alexander check up on us throughout the week? No you don't. So please, do me a favor and just leave." I didn't give her a chance to say anything and I turned around but I felt like I had to say one more thing, so I turned back around.
"Oh yea and one more thing," I said, waiting until she looked up at me to continue. "This is Dimitri, he's my boyfriend. We've been dating for a month. Comrade, this is the infamous Janine Hathaway, the woman who gave me birth."
And with that I went to my room.
"Roza?" Dimitri said softly as he opened the door.
"I'm sorry you had to see that," I said, not moving from my position.
"It's fine. You're mom is basically what my dad is to me," he said as he nudged me so he could get in. I scooted over and once he was on my bed, I turned around and snuggled into him. A small smile on my lips when he kissed the top of my head.
"You mean a royal pain in the ass?" I joked.
"That's one way to put it."
"Is she…" I started to say, but trailed off when he shook his head.
"She left right after you, so I made you breakfast," he said as he brought up a tray with two glasses of orange juice, some toast, lots of bacon, and eggs.
"Thank you," I said, sitting up and giving him a quick kiss.
"Anytime, babe." A smile came on my face at the nickname. I know it's common, and some people use it too loosely, but hearing it come off his lips made it sound like it was just for me. "Do you want to go out later in the afternoon? Maybe we can grab a late lunch or something…"
"Are you asking me out on a date?" I teased, giggling when he looked down, his cheeks turning pink. Smiling, I leaned in and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "I'd love to go out. Can we pass by Lia's studio first? I want to see if the pictures are done."
"I guess," he sighed before giving a quick, but really not thatquick, kiss on the lips. We only pulled away because my stomach grumbled.
"Should I wait until after our date or give this to you now?" he asked casually after we finished eating as he pulled out the ring he gave me the night we made our relationship official.
"Now. Now would be good," I said, tucking my feet under me as I faced him, grinning like a Chesire Cat with my right hand extended.
"Roza, would you me the honor of wearing this ring again?" he asked as he slipped it on my ring finger. I was shaking my head the whole time. When he pulled his hand away, I threw myself into him, capturing his lips in a heated kiss that led to picking up where we left off this morning
Now this was a good morning.
"Oh Rose! I was just about to call you! Josh finished the pictures," Lia said when she entered her office. "And who's this?" She eyed Dimitri up and down.
"He's my boyfriend," I said , taking his hand. Smiling, he brought my hand up and kissed the finger that had the ring. "So how did the pictures come out?"
"Wonderful! Just take a look!" She turned her computer screen around so the three of us could look at it. I was stunned at them. They didn't look like me. I mean it was me, I knew it was. It's just the girl in the picture was so sure of herself, like she could take on the world. She tamed lions and men and could withstand the desert. From the corner of my eye, I could see Dimitri looking back and forth, probably stunned to see me in a different light. I'm kind of surprised he didn't react to the pictures with Ambrose. Or maybe he was waiting until we were alone.
"Roza…you look…stunning," he said, his voice filled with awe.
"Roza…I like that name," Lia said, silently testing the name on her lips. "That can be your model name!"
"Model name? What's wrong with Rose?"
"What's wrong with Katherine?" she shot back before dismissing everything. "We can play with names later. First, I need to know for sure if you want to join my girls."
"I…I…" I wasn't sure, but one look at the pictures on the screen and I had my answer. "I want to. But I have school and track. I have morning training and double practice after school I can be in the studio all day on the weekend."
"No…no…can you miss your second practice on Monday and come in to get fitted and then again on Wednesday and then on Saturday we'll take the pictures and Sunday if we have to. I don't want you become overwhelmed, and I don't want you to break your commitment with your track team. I'll give you projects that aren't so demanding. I have a few that I don't need for a few weeks so we can get your measurements now, and then next week we can do a fitting on Wednesday and then have you do the shoot on Saturday."
"Whatever you think is best," I said. "Oh! I uh I'm going away for winter break, and Jill is too, so we won't be here for three weeks."
"That's fine. Just tell me when exactly and I'll work with it," she said casually. "Look I know I can be demanding at times, and this job is very demanding, but I also know that you girls are people with families and friends and a life, and I don't want you to have to miss out on one to be in the other. My company thrives because everyone's happy and we get things done. I like to think that we consider everyone in this studio as family, and I'm very excited to have you become a part of it. On that note, I want to do a spread about you as a initiation into the group. So scratch what I said about the fitting and shoot, next week we're going to your house and we'll do things there. I'll send someone in to interview you within this week and to get a feel for your closet and then next week we'll take the pictures. Sound good?"
"Sound perfect" I said smiling. With that, we signed some paperworks and I gave her my information before Dimitri and I left to go on our second first date.
"So are you going to tell me where it is we're going for winter break? Or is it a surprise?" Dimitri asked, intertwining our fingers, after we ordered our lunch.
"Oh well uhhh we are not going anywhere. I'm going to Turkey," I said slowly, trying to pull my hand away, but he held on tighter.
"You're going to Turkey? With who? Ambrose?" he asked angrily. And there it was! I couldn't help but laugh at his jealously, which just made him glare at me harder.
"Babe, I'm going with Lissa, Jill, Viktoria, and Sydney. I don't know why you ask about Ambrose. There's nothing going on there."
"You came to the party with him. He all but told me he was going to get you in his bed. And then you do a photo shoot with him!" he lists.
"Ok for starter's he's just a friend. I mean I only met the guy last week, so chill. Secondly, he can think he has a chance to sleep with me, but if Mason couldn't get a second date, Ambrose is never going to get a first. I know I haven't said this, but it's always been just you. I know it sounds corny and gooey, but you came into my life and showed me what I've been missing and I can't find anyone that fits your shoes."
"Really?"
"Really. I never saw Mason as anything more than a friend, and when he asked me out I figured all I needed to do was give it time for the feelings to catch up, but when he kissed me I didn't feel anything. And when I kissed you the next day I felt so much fire and desire, I knew I could never find someone that gives me something better."
"So the photo shoot…"
"Was just a job. I prefer tall Russians," I joked, getting him to smile. What I didn't expect was him pulling me so I'd land on his lap.
"And I prefer desert princesses," he whispered before kissing me. I know we were in public, but at that moment neither of us cared. "So there's no way I can convince you to stay home for winter break or to let me come?"
"Not a chance, Comrade. My mom was pretty adamant about me going away, and Lissa's right. After the last month, I think a trip is exactly what we need. Not to mention I haven't really spent much time with my friends."
"You were the one that decided to hide out for a week," he shot back before changing the topic. "I guess that just means I'll have to make these next two weeks count."
"Mmhmm," I said, nodding my head before his lips met mine again.
After lunch, we walked around and he took me to different shops, buying me a few things here and there, and then we went back to my room and watched a movie after ordering dinner (aka pizza). As mellow as it was, today was by far the best first date ever. Totally has nothing to do with my sexy Russian boyfriend spending yet another night, but this time both our clothes stayed on.
A/N: So next chapter I'm thinking of having it be the photoshoot at her house. Would you guys want that? It's bound to have some Romitri fluff...And I maaaaay be able to work in some lemon if you want.
Leave me a review telling me what you think. Also, how about that confrontation with Janine?
