Amu: *smacks Ikuto* She's going to explain, shush your mouth

Nani: Thank you Amu for smacking him for me :) So I had to figure out where I was with this story because it has been SO LONG! But now I have figured it out so now let's get back to the story (plus work has been draining me so much that I am always so tired :/)

Ikuto: Nani does not own Shugo Chara

Chapter 24

Normal POV

"SHIT!" Ikuto ran to the wall and began to bang on it in futile attempts to somehow get in.

"You can't get in. Every button that gives access to that secret place has been destroyed. Give up. Saya is going to finally get rid of that waste of space," Hiro told them. Ikuto just kept hitting the wall.

While the group was busy trying to find a way to get to Amu, Amu's parents and Urdina sneaked past them and ran away. Rima, who had taken a glance in their direction quickly grabbed everyone's attention and the group began to chase right after them. They chased them outside where Amu's parents and Urdina continued to flee away from them. The storm had become a light drizzle as the chase continued.

Being young had its perks. Urdina was able to run faster and quickly had passed Hiro and Manina as they continuously slipped on the wet grass. Kukai and Tadase caught up to Amu's parents and pounced on top of them. A struggle pursued as Kukai and Tadase wrestled with them on the ground. The rest of group caught up and began to help Kukai and Tadase. Lulu brought the rope that was used to tie them to the chairs and used it to now tie Hiro and Manina to some lawn chairs.

Utau and Rima ran past them to try and catch Urdina. Rima, who is not very good at running, began to quickly slow down, along with Utau. Urdina turned her head around while continuing to run. Noticing their slowing pace, she began to laugh.

"Give up already. Stupid blondes like yourselves should be hanging out with other blondies instead of that weird pink-haired freak." Rima and Utau came to a quick halt. Urdina also stopped running to turn her whole body around to face Rima and Utau. She wondered why they stopped chasing her.

Rima and Utau were facing the ground, their bangs covering their eyes. Their heads quickly snapped up, a deathly glare upon their faces. A chill ran up Urdina's spine. She did not have a very feeling so she turned around planning to run, when all of a sudden Utau and Rima sprang towards her. They quickly caught up to her and tackled her to the ground. Rima grabbed a fistful of Urdina's hair and dragged her back to where the rest of the group was.

Nagi was in complete shock seeing how someone as small as Rima was able to do such a thing to another girl, but at the same time was glad because she deserved getting dragged on the ground like the piece of dirt she was. Nor grabbed Urdina from Rima's clutches and also tied her to another lawn chair.

Manina looked up at them, or so the group thought she was looking up at them. In reality, Manina was looking up at the roof where two certain people could be seen as she began to laugh. Urdina and Hiro looked at her questioningly until they looked to where she was staring at.

The group was confused as to what was so funny about the situation when they heard a yell.

"GUYS!" They all glanced up to finally notice what Manina seemed to be laughing about in enjoyment.

Amu POV

"What's with that face Amu? Aren't you happy? It's just you and me."

I felt a huge wave of fear washed over me. Shit! What do I do now? There was no way I would be able to escape and no one would be able to come rescue me. Says began walking towards me and I quickly moved away.

Every step she moved closer was a step I took away from her. I glanced around quickly trying to find some way I could escape. My eyes landed on a door that was to the left of Saya. I knew it had to be the stairs that led up to the roof. If I was able to somehow get to the door, I could run upstairs to the roof. There is a lock on the outside of the door to which I could use to keep Saya away from me. Maybe my friends will be able to call the police and I'll be safe until they get here.

I stared back at Saya to see her throw something at me. I felt a gust of air that made me freeze up. I slowly turned to the left where I had felt the gust of air to see the knife Saya had stuck on the wall. It took me 2 seconds before I ran. Saya went for the knife giving me the perfect opportunity to run to the door. I didn't look back as I took the stairs 2 steps at a time.

I ran out onto the roof, slammed the door, and locked the door. It was quiet for a few moments and all I did was stare at the door hoping Saya had decided to leave me alone, but no such luck. Banging came from the inside as I jumped at the sound. The storm had turned into a drizzle, but one look ahead showed some very dark, grey clouds signaling that the storm was about to get 10x worse very soon.

"AMU! OPEN THE DAMN DOOR!" Saya yelled from the other side of the door.

"NO!"

One glance at the door and I knew that it wouldn't last very long with Saya beating at the door. I ran to one the edges of the roof and looked down. I saw everyone surrounding my parents and Urdina who were tied up to chairs. My friends were looking at them, but I noticed that my mom began to laugh as soon as she made direct eye-contact with me.

BANG!BANG!BANG! "THIS DOOR WON'T HOLD ME BACK. OPEN THE DOOR!" I looked back at the door. It was about ready to break. Stupid door. I wish Nali had changed the old, wooden door to a new, metal door.

I glanced back down at my friends and started to yell.

"GUYS!" I saw them look up at me. "Amu!"

Normal POV

The door to the roof was suddenly slammed open. Amu gasped and saw Saya making her way towards her with the knife. Saya brought the knife down, but Amu was able to move out of the way just in time. All Amu could do was continue to dodge Saya and the knife as she kept running on the roof.

Down on the ground, her friends were looking on and screaming her name. Kukai turned to face Urdina. She scowled. "What the hell are you looking at?"

"You have a cell phone."

"So what?"

"I need it." Kukai approached her and patted her front pockets.

"Hey! Don't touch me! What are you doing!?" Kukai backed away from her with a silly grin on his face. He lifted his hand to show her that he had her cellphone.

"Kukai call the cops," Nagi hollered at him.

"Why do you think I got her phone for Nagi?" Kukai quickly called the cops and gave them the address.

"They're on their way!"

"But what can we do? We can't even get to Amu," Lulu wailed out.

The drizzle changed into a downpour and soon after lightning began to light up the sky. The group was frustrated. They really couldn't do anything except hope that the cops would get here with some help and tools to get to Amu.

A scream brought back everyone's attention back onto the roof where Amu can be seen running away from a crazed Saya. The sight brought a rush of frustration and anger onto Ikuto. "DAMNIT!," he yelled out. They were at a pretty long distance away from the beach house.

"Ikuto, please calm down a little. You won't do anyone good if you're here freaking out. We're all freaking out, but you're making us even more anxious being like that." Tadase put a hand on Ikuto's shoulder.

"Yeah bro, calm down. Amu will be safe soon. The police are on their way." Noru put his hand on Ikuto's other shoulder. Ikuto looked at them and everyone else's faces. He took deep breaths to help calm down his nerves a bit.

Police sirens could now be heard in the distance along with the continuos flashes of lightning in the sky.

Ikuto POV

Deep breaths Ikuto. Don't lose control.

Hearing the police sirens gave me some relief, but Amu is up there on the roof with a crazy bitch. It doesn't help that this storm is getting worse with each passing minute. "Ikuto!" My breath hitched. My head shot up to see Amu calling my name.

To hell with being calm. There has to be a way to help her.

I began to run through the downpour towards to beach house. I ignored everyone else as they screamed my name and began running right behind me. I slipped, I fell, but I got back up.

"Amu! Hang on I'll save you!" I yelled just as the sound of lightning drowned out the last part of what I said.

Amu POV

I hear the police sirens. Please get here soon, I don't know how much longer I can avoid Saya. The storm is making it extremely difficult for me to run fast in fear I would slip and fall off the roof.

"Ikuto!" Before I called out to him, I was able to punch Saya in the face hard enough to have knocked her unconscious, but I had no idea where the knife went. I hope it fell over and is somewhere on the ground. I glance back at Saya to see her still on the ground unconscious before looking back on the ground.

As long as Saya stays unconscious, then I can make it through this ordeal.

I hear someone call out my name from behind me. I gasp as I see Saya standing up with an evil smile on her face.

"Did you actually think you could knock me out?" She runs towards me and I have no time to run when her body crashes into mine as we both fall over the edge.

I hear Ikuto and my friends scream my name as we fall, rapidly approaching the ground.

Normal POV

Everyone stopped running as they saw Saya and Amu fall over the edge of the roof. They yelled her name as they began to once again run towards her as she continued to fall.

They saw how they fought in the air as Amu and Saya punched and slapped each other. Saya took something out from her front pocket and used it against Amu, but she continued to fight her. Amu and Saya suddenly froze as they stared wide-eye at each other the rest of the way down, until they landed into the pool that was below them.

Ikuto, Noru, Tadase, Nagi, Kukai, Nalika, Lulu, Rima, and Utau ran to the pool out of breath and soaked to the bone. Just as they reached the pool, they stopped as they saw blood rise up to the top. At that moment, the police arrived along with paramedics.

All the boys were ready to jump in when bubbles began to form. Amu and Saya rose up to the top gasping for air. Ikuto was going to jump in and grab Amu, but Saya suddenly pulled out her knife and placed it on Amu's neck. The police took out their guns and pointed and Amu and Saya.

"Don't move or I'll slice her neck." Saya grabbed a fistful of Amu's hair and commanded her to move backwards so that they ended up at the other side of the pool, away from everyone. Without letting go of Amu's hair, Saya got out of the pool and yanked Amu's hair for her to also get out of the pool. "Get out of the pool. Hurry up or I swear I will not hesitate to cut your throat right now." Amu scrambled to get out and as soon as she got out, Saya once again put the knife to her neck.

What did not go unnoticed by everyone was how Amu had one of her hands over her stomach and was slightly bent over as in pain. Red seeped through the shirt Amu had. She had been stabbed by Saya during the struggle when falling.

"Saya, put the knife down. We don't want to shoot," One of the police men said. Saya merely smirked at them. She wrapped her whole arm around Amu's neck, so that she wouldn't escape and pulled out a gun and placed it Amu's right temple. Everyone froze in their spot. She had the gun to her head and had the knife in the hand of the arm she had around Amu's neck.

"If anyone starts firing I can quickly end her life, but not before slicing her throat so she can feel pain before I shoot her in the head. Even if you do start shooting I can hide behind Amu so she takes all the hits. Put your guns down now!"

The police were baffled. Although they could easily kill Saya, they did not want to risk getting Amu hurt either. They did as they were told to. The group was in complete shock. How could the police not be of any help right now?!

"Saya, let go of Amu now," Ikuto yelled from across the pool.

"Why?"

Ikuto became confused. "Why what?"

"Why her? Why did you choose her over me? She's freak, she's ugly! She doesn't compare to me at all. I'm rich, I'm pretty! That's all you need in a woman. We can be happy together!"

"Amu is not a freak and she's beautiful. She is the complete opposite of you. I love her and she's not a bitch like you!" Ikuto suddenly regretted what he said. He could have already given Amu her death sentence by what he said about Saya.

"If I can't be with you then neither will she!" Her arm around Amu's neck began to move, ready to slice Amu's throat as she began to quickly unwrap her arm from around her neck (Do you under stand that? So she has her whole arm around her neck with the knife in her hand that is pointing at Amu's neck so she plans to unwrap her arm and along the way have the knife will slice her throat. I'm sorry if that's confusing :/ I can't explain it very well.)

"AMU!" everyone yelled when Saya stopped what she was doing and fell to the ground unconscious. Behind her was a police women who had sneaked behind her and used her gun to hit Saya in the head. Seconds later, Amu fell to her hands and knees. The group ran towards her. Ikuto got there first and held onto her.

"Amu, Amu! Everything's okay. You're safe now." She didn't respond, but instead continued to hold onto her stomach.

"Shit, she's lost a lot of blood. We have to get her to the hospital. HURRY UP AND GET HER TO THE HOSPITAL!" Ikuto yelled at the paramedics.

Amu's vision was beginning to blur as she continued to see patches of black.

She spoke in a very soft tone. "Ikuto, I love you."

Ikuto looked at her. "I love you too. Hang on, please Amu. The paramedics will get you to the hospital fast. You'll be fine!" Ikuto became desperate as he noticed Amu beginning to close her eyes.

"Amu, don't close your eyes! Amu!" Ikuto's voice slowly faded as Amu closed her eyes and fell into darkness.

Ikuto: What the fu... How could you leave it like that?!
