RPOV

Sleep. All I wanted was sleep.

True to her word, Sydney had us all over Turkey visiting "the coolest places" she found. Not gonna lie, they were kind of awesome, but not worth the pain my feet endured these past three days. Yesterday wasn't so bad since we had no where to go the boys took full advantage and took us out to explore the area by our hotel. No matter how beautiful the places Sydney took us was, my favorite part was hearing Sydney ramble facts about like she was a tour guide.

On the second day we went to the Bodrum Castle, originally named Castle of St. Peters when it was build in the 15th century by Crusaders. It was in amazing conditions considering it's been around since medieval times, and it had an amazing view of Bodrum's internal marina. Afterwards, we went to Troy, but sadly there weren't any Brad Pitts or Orlando Blooms walking around in gladiator looking outfits. My favorite part was Homer's story about Troy and all the god mythology related to it. My least favorite part was all the damn walking! Not to mention I was downing water like there was no tomorrow. Only good part was I got a couple breaks when I would go to the bathroom, but still I came back to my room ready to put my feet up and give them nice long break.

The next two days weren't too bad. We visited the Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace one day and the Hagia Sophia and Cappadocia Underground Citites the next day. The Mosque was gorgeous! Even though I felt like I was intruding since it was a mosque people went to for their religion, I was glad I went because I fell in love with the blue tiles with different patterns. then the Palace had Ottoman architecture with an ornate, royal design and a gorgeous courtyard. The whole place holding Muslim and Christian relics throughout. That day I also got what I had been dying for since I left home, doing the deed over the phone, and Lord was it amazing! Then when we went to the underground cities and that was a sight to see. Sydney made sure we visited all the main tourist locations. Honestly, it was like a life size ant farm people could live in, and it was pretty cool. But it was nothing like Hagia Sophia. Built during the reign of Emperor Justinian I, it was a church built for a king. With a massive dome and an interior that looked like it was made of gold, I wasn't surprised when Sydney said it was changed into a mosque when the Ottoman's took over.

But my favorite day was yesterday because I got to sleep in and most of what we visited had food. Plus, Drew and his friends were fun to hang out with, especially Kevin and Daniel. Oh Lord, Issac! His accent made everything sound adorable and he was such goofball that you couldn't last five minutes without laughing. I think the best part was we all had someone back home and it wasn't awkward when we would be eating lunch or dinner and someone would suddenly say something about their significant other. Like Kevin's girlfriend Jenny got him into the habit of drinking warm milk with honey before bed. And Jack's girlfriend Grace was the world's biggest Catholic fanatic but he loved her no less. And Daniel's girlfriend Crystal loves wearing dresses. Ben's girlfriend Amy has a one-year old son Ben considers his own. Drew's girlfriend Jessy is the blonde version of me. Of course the girls and I couldn't help but talk about our boyfriends back in Russia. It felt nice because they would give us advice or tips on what to get the guys for Christmas and we would do the same for them.

However, today was a day of relaxation. No wake up time, no place to be, just me and my bed. And bathtub.

"Rose! Rooooooose!" Sydney shouted from downstairs. Groaning, I ducked my head under my pillow and blocked her out. Of course, that only made me come up to my room. "Rose it's already noon and breakfast is ready."

"Don't you mean lunch?" I joked, my voice muffled by the pillow. I could feel her glaring at me, so I sat up and faced her. "You promised we could sleep in!"

"I did let you sleep in. It's noon! How much more were you going to sleep?"

"I dunno. And now I'll never know!" I said, getting out of bed and throwing on my robe and slippers. "So what's for breakfast?"

"Bacon and omlette's."

"Mmmm who cooked?"

"Jill. But hurry because we need to go the store and get things for tonight."

"Syd, we're not cooking some elaborate meal. We just need pizza, popcorn, candy, and soda."

"And stuff for the facials, and manicures, and pedicures," she rattled off. Since we were on our own this year for the holidays and we didn't want to party hard for a whole week straight, we decided to go out for New Year's and stay in for Christmas and have a girl's night like it was 1998 with manipedis and facials, junk food and movies, and a shit ton of fun.

"Fine. We can go after breakfast."

While the Jill and Vika went with me to get the stuff for dinner, Lissa went with Sydney to get things for the makeovers. None of us knew a lick of Turkish so we mindlessly walked from aisle to aisle finding things to use for the pizza. it was easy to find what we needed to make the dough and to get the sauce and cheese, but we couldn't decide on the toppings. So we did the next best thing and grabbed everything that could go on a pizza: pepperoni, ham, olives, mushrooms, sausage bits, and peppers. We also got some oatmeal, honey, and olive oil for the facials, and Vika insisted on getting Rice Krispies cereal, chocolate chips, and Marshmallows.

"What now?" Vika asked as she picked a random box out of boredom.

"Don't know. What else do we need?" I asked them, trying to remember if we were making something else.

"We need snacks," Jill said, popping out of no where.

"Like candy!" Vika shouted running towards the aisle, laughing her head off.

"Why is wrong with her?" I asked Jill before laughing myself. She just shook her head before we took off after her.

"Roza try this!" Vika shouted before throwing some candy at me. Lucky for me my lightening reflexes caught it in time.

"Oh my god!" I moaned as I tasted the sweet chewy candy. "Let's get a pound."

"Rose, it's weighed in grams," Jill said.

"Oh then 500 grams!" I said before looking for another candy to get. "Vika try this!" I tossed her some blue gummy candy. Of course it hit Jill and pretty soon we started a big candy throwing war, filled with laughter. It wasn't until one of the manager came with a stern look in his face that we stopped and had like 6 different bags of candy, some that we've never seen and the regulars, like Red Vines and M&M's, and some popcorn before going to the register. It took all our strengths to keep a straight face while the manager rang us up, glaring at us so hard that I was scared it would become permanent. At the end, I couldn't resist breaking out into a big, "innocent" grin as we walked out.

"What are you so cheesy about?" Sydney asked when we met up with her, looking at me like I was mental.

"Nothing. Just looking forward to tonight," I said, laughing when she rolled her eyes. "By the way, what did you guys get?"

"Some nail polishes we figured you guys would like and everything needed to do a manicure," Lissa said like it was nothing. Honestly, when it comes to make overs and getting my nails done, I just know to pick the color and relax. Lissa's always been the one to know what happens, yet she doesn't take my advice to get a beauty license and a business degree.

"So we good to go back?" I asked as we headed back to the hotel.

"Did you guys get drinks?" Sydney asked as looked at our bags.

"No," I drew out. "But I'm sure we can find some place along the way that sells sodas and wines."

"Wine?" Jill asked.

"Yea. Wine. I want a classy makeover. We have the pizza and the treats. Why not end the night with a nice glass of wine?"

"But the only wine I've had is at church. I'm just 16!"

"Then no wine for you, missy. Plus, I only want a bottle and two or three 24-packs of soda." No one said anything, so walked in silence. Right as we were getting close to the hotel we came across a store that sold drinks, so we got a nice, bottle of nonalcoholic Pinot Noir wine soda and got like one liter soda bottles of Dr. Pepper, Coke, Sprite.

"MAKEOVER TIME!" I shouted when we walked into the room, quickly putting the bags on the kitchen counter before running to my room.

"ROSE!" Sydney shouted, her voice full of agitation. She waited until I walked back giving her a questioning look. "Are you seriously not going to help put this stuff away?"

"Actually since we're going to use everything, wouldn't it be easier to get dressed and then one of us set up the makeovers, another one make the rice krispies, someone else setting up the snacks and drinks, and the last two making the pizzas?"

Everyone's lips curved into an 'o' as I nodded my head before retreating back to my room.

When I came down, we all got to work. But not before we all shared a glass of the Pinot Noir and deciding who did what. Liss got the living room ready, Vika worked on the Rice Krispy treats, Jill did the snacks and drinks, and Syd and I did the pizzas.

"So do you guys want to see the colors I picked for you guys?" Lissa asked as we finished putting the four pizzas in the oven.

"Sure," we all said as she put five bottles on the counter. After she handed each of us our bottle, we took turns showing the others.

Sydney had a dark chocolate colored polish named Velvet Voyage, while Lissa stuck with Sugar Daddy, a sheer pink color. Jill also had a pastel pink, but it was a shade darker, called Pink Glove Service. Viktoria had a dark, twilight, almost back blue color polish properly named Midnight Cami. My color was a bright, vibrant, hot magenta pink titled Style Hunter. Honestly she couldn't have picked a better color for me, and apparently for Vika too.

"This color matches my dress!" VIka squealed. Everyone loved it and Lissa was beaming knowing she picked well.

Once we had our colors, we rearranged the living room so we could comfortably give each others manipedis and facials and watch a movie. Then Lissa came out with the oatmeal facial she concucted and the party started.

After the facials, we put on Home Alone and sat in a circle to do each other's pedicures. Lissa did mine, I did Vika's, she did Jill's, who did Sydney's while she did Lissa's. I had just finished doing Vika's right foot when my phone went off.

"Dimitri?" I asked, seeing him smiling at me. "I thought you were having dinner."

"I was. Then I finished and now here we are." I couldn't help but laugh.

"Here we are. Not that I don't love seeing your gorgeous face, but is there a reason for calling?"

"I love seeing your beautiful face, too, Roza," he said, making me blush. "And I have a little surprise for you." Zoya's curious face popped up, breaking into a grin when she saw me.

"You had a baby I didn't know about?" I teased before baby talking to Zoya and making faces, laughing when she tried to grab me. I heard a voice coming from somewhere else in the room he was in, and it sounded like a woman, but I was too busy screaming when our door banged open and someone walked through, a six pack in each arm.

"Who let the dogs out! Woof woof wo-WHAT THE FUCK MAN!" Jack said, stopping in his tracks when he saw us.

"Roza what's going on?" I heard Dimitri say, probably worried as to why we all screamed.

"Um you know what, Comrade, I got to go," I said quickly while the rest of the boys followed Jack inside. "Call you tomorrow. Bye, Zoya!" I quickly hung up and glared at the guys.

"Jack!" Daniel said, tossing a few bags of chips on the counter.

"What the fuck! Have none of you guys heard of knocking!" I screamed, kinda pissed they just barged in. "And how the hell did you guys get in?"

"Kevin knows how to pick a lock and none of you guys answered when we knocked," Ben said timidly, trying to calm me down.

"Gee that makes me feel so much better," I said dryly before turning back and finishing Vika's pedicure.

"Sorry," Drew said. "Didn't mean to scare you. Soooo what are you guys doing?"

"Pampering each other, why do you guys want in?" I asked, a mischievous smile on my face. Of course, only my friends caught on to my plan to cause trouble.

"Ooo I'm always in when it comes to getting pampered."

"Great. Here's my color and here are the tools you need to do my mani pedi." I handed him my little caddie and the girls did the same to their respective guy. All of them had the same dumbfounded look. "You said you wanted in. Don't worry we'll help you guys. Oh and don't worry we have pizza and candy and drinks so you're not completely out of the fun."

None of them moved for a while, but finally Ryan was first to react. Pulling out the top coat bottle, he asked Jill which she wanted first, and started coating her fingers when she said mani.

"Dude," Jack whispered. "What are you doing?"

"Whenever Jenny's feeling down or had a long day, I'll give her a manicure."

"You what?" Daniel asked.

"Give her a manicure. I know it's weird, but it's kind of fun. She's really hard on making sure I do it right, but to see the look she gives me when I'm done is worth it. Plus the pay is a-mazing."

"She pays you?" Ben asked, dumbfounded but quick to follow his friend and start Sydney's manicure.

"Yea, but not in money." He gave a boyish grin, his cheeks turning pink. Nonetheless, the three other boys were quick to start our manicures.

"Hate to burst your motor, but we're not sleeping with you guys," Viktoria said.

"You won't, but if we come home knowing how to give manicures, imagine how quick our girlfriends will be to sleep with us?" Jack said.

"I don't know. I prefer having a boyfriend that makes me run in the woods than one that gives me a manicure," I said honestly, my thoughts once again returning to Dimitri.

"That's just like Sarah," Drew said as he finished putting the top coat on my right hand. No one said until Drew started putting on the first coat of nail polish. "So do you guys have any New Year's plans?"

"We were going to have dinner and see if they were doing fireworks anywhere. It's my first New Year's outside the US, so I don't really know how things work here. Why, what are you guys doing?"I said, slightly surprised at how good this manicure was coming out.

"Nothing yet. We were probably going to hit a club or something. You girls don't want to come?"

"We're kind of spending this whole week going out, so I'm pretty sure by the end of the week we're all going to be sick of drinking and just want a nice dinner. Thanks for the offer tho."

"Not be an ass or anything, but isn't the point of New Year's to get shitface drunk?" Daniel asked.

"Yea but I don't want to spend New Year's the same way. Plus I was going to try and talk to Dimitri so we can at least see each other when the clock turns 12. You guys are more then welcome to join us if you want."

"Then it's settled. We're all having dinner together. Clubbing's overrated to be honest," Drew said, winking at me.

Laughing, I let him get back to his manicure. When they all finished, we decided they didn't have to do our feet and setting on doing it ourselves, only asking them to wipe off the excess so we didn't ruin our nails. We spent the rest of the night to know each other and watching movies and finishing all the food. Involuntarily I kept checking my phone, hoping Dimitri called or texted. I felt bad for hanging up so abruptly and knew he deserved an explanation. Honestly, I only did it because I didn't know what Jack was going to say next. I just hope he didn't think the worse of the situation. Once we were all ready to call it a night, I went to bed determined to talk to Dimitri tomorrow and explain what happened.

A/N: Seeeee nothing happened :) I know it was a really mellow chapter, but what did you guys think of it?
