6. Eye for a King Too
Asuka and King continued to run towards King's apartment. Garrett was driving the jeep with James and Kikay trying to squeeze in the front seat.
"Yo, watch it! I'm driving here, remember?!" Garrett yelled at his siblings.
"We're trying to make room for King and Asuka!" Kikay cried pushing James.
"Ow! She's tiny enough and so are you to fit in the backseat!" James whined pushing back.
"Y'know, Kikay, James is right. I can also sit in between them so that they can stop playing kissy face." Kikay thought.
"You're right James, I'll just sit in the back. Garrett, can you pull up right in front of them?" Kikay smiled.
"You mean all dramatic like? Of course, I can do that!" Garrett laughed.
Garrett sped up and pulled in front of Asuka and King. Shocked and blinded by the rain, they tried to figure out who was driving. Before they could guess, Kikay and James spilled out of the front passenger seat onto the ground into a giant puddle.
"Well, no need to play any guessing games on who the crazy people are." Asuka sighed. A huge sweat drop fell from her head.
"Kikay, are you okay mija?" King said while reaching out for her hand.
He pulled her by her hand up and into his arms. Kikay was surprised and started to blush. Asuka looked at Kikay and King with an irritated look on her face.
"I think she's fine now King, you can put her down." Asuka said while clenching her teeth.
"Ooh she is jealous—"Kikay thought but it was quickly interrupted by James' sass.
"Girl, why you jelly? Is it because King is holding her and not you?" James said looking at her and then back at King and Kikay, "Shoo, I'm kind of jelly too."
"JEALOUS?!" Asuka roared. "Me?!"
"Yeah, I would say you are the jealous type." James said while rolling his eyes.
"James! Kikay! The rest of you people, get your asses in the car before I speed away!" Garrett snapped.
James hopped back in the front. King held the other door open for Asuka and Kikay to get in. Asuka got in first, then Kikay and King. Asuka huffed and then folded her arms to stare at out the window. Kikay smiled profusely while King continued to ask her if she was okay.
"Are you really okay Kikay? James fell right on top of you and well, he's heavy." King smiled.
"Hey! I am sitting right here!" James scoffed.
"My thoughts exactly, James." Asuka sighed while rolling her eyes.
"I'mma just ignore Asuka and her pointy ass elbow in my side." Kikay thought.
"Yeah, I'll be alright King, no need to worry about me." Kikay smiled.
King smiled back at her, "Thank you amiga, for the ride."
"Well sorry to break it to you but she is not driving, I am." Garrett chuckled, "Waiting for my thank you."
"Thanks, I mean it." King smiled. He looked over to Asuka and saw that she seemed bothered.
"Geez, maybe James is right about Asuka. She does seem annoyed. Well, I guess I'll talk to her about it afterwards." King thought staring at her.
"Y'know what…King doesn't have his mask on." James said shocked. Everyone did an anime fall.
"Was it getting a little too hot and steamy for ya?" James winked at King and he blushed.
"James, shut the hell up." Garrett sighed.
"I agree with the driver." Asuka sighed. "What's your name, again?"
"You know, it's been so long that I don't even know if we got to properly introduce ourselves." Garrett questioned while looking off to the distance at me, the author, ha-ha.
"Regardless if we did, I am Garrett. I help Kikay keep the waters clean and the beaches safe."
"Like a lifeguard or something?" Asuka asked confused.
"Don't know why you are confused, we've met before. You were different then, but we've met." James scoffed. "I'm James b-t-dubs"
"Hmm, I think you may be right." Asuka laughed, "Yeah I know your name from earlier."
"I always remember those who I find a bit annoying." Asuka thought while looking at James and then at Kikay.
"Always." Asuka creepily said while looking at Kikay. Kikay and King turned white with fear and had a scared look on their face. Asuka realized what she did and started laughing.
"You're a weird girl." James laughed. "Too bad ain't nobody got time for dat."
"Ha…sorry, I was thinking out loud." Asuka smiled sheepishly while rubbing her head.
"Mhmm, Kikay is the same way." James sneered.
"I am not!" Kikay yelled, "We are two very different people"
"She's right," Asuka smirked while looking at Kikay. "Very different."
"Don't try to pick a fight with me because you will lose!" Kikay and Asuka thought in unison.
Meanwhile, back in Japan. Miharu was still shocked that Asuka hung up the phone on her. Xiaoyu is currently planning Asuka's funeral while Hwoarang and Lili looked up plane ticket prices. Christie and Miguel continued to catch up on all the kisses they missed out on from being so far apart. Eddy is crying in the corner because of this while Armor tries to console him.
"It's okay, I know I messed up," Eddy cried, "We may not be able to be together, but I can still be there for you—"
"I'll be there for you, like I been there before. I'll be there for you, because you're there for me too—" Armor sung.
"Are you serious right now?" Eddy cried. "She loves Friends!"
"Yeah, Christie seems like the type who would do anything for her friends. So I would agree that she loves them" Armor chirped while he continued to hum the song.
"Ugh, I'm exhausted being this long around you. I don't know how King does it." Eddy sighed shaking his head. "If I were him, I, too, would go around punching random guys in the face."
"Well, he is a wrestler, kind of part of his job." Armor laughed, shaking his head. "Stupid."
Eddy did an anime fall while Armor continued to sing. Lili shook her head and turned to Hwoarang.
"And to think I thought, you and Xiaoyu were the dumbest people I knew. Aside from Asuka of course."
"Really Lili? REALLY?!" Hwoarang yelled while raising his eyebrows.
"Yes, really. God knows how stupid you are, and so do we." Lili smiled. "But y'know, you're smart-ish, in your own special way."
"Y'know what I wish He would answer, why I am friends with you." Hwoarang scoffed. "Can we get back to looking for plane tickets?"
"Well, we could just ask Eddy or you can clean Jin's cars again." Lili smiled.
"Ha! Yet, I am the dumb one. Good luck trying to get Eddy to do anything for us." Hwoarang laughed. "He's broken-hearted and that tin dude isn't helping.
"Sigh, must I do everything for this ragtag group? You all are so blessed to have me" Lili said while flipping her hair. She began to walk towards Eddy and Armor King.
"More like cursed." Hwoarang scoffed while rolling his eyes.
Eddy stopped crying and wiped his face on his sleeve before he got up to leave.
"Wait! Where are you going?" Lili yelled running after him.
"Time is money deary and I've wasted enough of it." Eddy sniffled while adjusting his tie.
Lili's heart fluttered and pink hearts danced around her head. "Wow. It's Christie's lost, if you ask me."
"You're just saying tha—"
"No, I'm not! I mean it. I don't think I felt like this for someone since…well you know that crush thing." Lili blushed.
"Ahh, I remember that. Very weird times for us both. Well Lili, if you would like to join me on the trip to—"
"Yes!" Lili bursted while jumping into his arms.
"To the bathroom…I need someone to hold my legs up while I number two." Eddy finished.
"Eww. What about going back to Mexico?" Lili asked disgusted.
Eddy began to laugh hysterically before he answered her question. Lili did an anime fall.
"Man, I needed that." Eddy chuckled, "I'll go back in another week or two. I'm not worried about the Zaibatsu there, I'm going up against Asuka after all."
"True, true. Well I won't join you for the bathroom but maybe afterwards?" Lili said while batting her eyes.
"I'd like that." Eddy winked while walking away. "Bye , Ma Cheri."
"Damn you suck at being Asuka's friend!" Christie yelled while shaking her head.
"Hey I am trying! At least I am not planning her funeral!" Lili retorted.
"Hey! You think I want to do this?! She brought this upon herself!" Xiaoyu huffed.
"Excuses, excuses, at least I am doing something Xiao. Miharu hasn't moved since Asuka hung up on her!" Lili huffed while flipping her hair.
"Well, she's right about Miharu not moving. I think that shocked her more than it should." Christie said with a concern look on her face.
"Wow Christie, Eddy's right about you loving Friends!" Armor beamed, "I'll be there—"
"Can it tin man." Hwoarang grumbled, "Ugh! Why did she stay?!"
"Sigh, we're not going to get anywhere tonight. Maybe we should all hit the hay?" Christie sighed.
"I agree with Christie. I think we should sleep now and wake up tomorrow with a new attitude and even newer ideas." Miguel chimed in.
"Sigh, fine." Xiaoyu, Hwoarang, and Lili said in unison.
Everyone walked out the room and the lights shut off. Miharu sat there in the same position she was in, with the phone in hand. She continued to sit there in silence until she finally uttered the words.
"R-r-roar." Miharu heaved before passing out on the floor with the phone still in hand.
