The train whistled loudly as it began to gain speed on the metal tracks, spewing puffs of black smoke. The train scheduled to head back to London was just leaving. Thankfully Sebastian had managed to get back just in time. It was mid-afternoon when the train departed, it should arrive at London at dawn the next day. 'That should sufficient time for Käsien to make a move,' Sebastian thought to himself as he took a seat in the bar car of the train.
He remained there in a lone corner as he watched other passengers come in, have a drink, and then leave. Throughout his watch, though, he kept his eye open for the mysterious man in the trench coat. So, far he has not made an appearance; Sebastian remained in his corner for few more minutes before stepping out and wandering around a bit. 'Perhaps he is in another car' Sebastian thought once more. As he made his way to the next car, the dining car, he spotted the man in the trench coat exiting the opposite end of the car. Sebastian was quick to follow the man, taking quick steps to reach the exit of the car.
"Ah, thank you, sir, but I can't right now, perhaps another time." Sebastian took a seat in one of the booths far from the scene, as he heard a blonde woman decline the trench coated man's offer.
"Well, how about I accompany you on this train ride." The trench coat man offered as he took a seat beside the lone woman. Sebastian looked around noticing it was only the three of them and the other two didn't know of his presence yet.
The woman scooted way as the man took off his hat, revealing his face to woman and, unbeknownst to the man, to the black clad demon. The scar on the upper lip, the nicely trimmed goatee, he seemed a bit old perhaps mid-thirties, but this looked like man the Avaline dancers had described. Sebastian lowered himself to not be noticed by the couple, but kept listening.
"My, how I love your beautiful golden locks," the man cooed as he caressed the nervous woman's hair, "and such vibrant blue eyes, I simply love them." He then caressed the cheek of the whimpering girl with his large, rough hands. Once again Sebastian noticed the silver band on his finger. 'It appears I found the culprit' Sebastian thought, 'But to be sure I'll wait until he goes for the kill' he thought with a smirk.
"Uhm, p-please, don't touch me like that, sir…" the woman stuttered as she trailed off.
The man backed away a bit, but he held the girl's hands in his, "The name is Elliott, Elliott Salonen." He smiled creepily at the woman. The woman simply nodded awkwardly and looked away with a look of discomfort on her face.
"Tell me my 'Aryan Princess', what brings you to London?" Mr. Elliott asked as tried making conversation with the woman. He continued to caress her hands, rubbing his thumb over her knuckles. Sebastian narrowed his eyes to see I silver ring on the woman's left hand, Mr. Elliott seemed to notice as well for he toyed with the ring with his thumb a bit.
The woman's hesitated before answering, "Uhm, I'm going home to my fiancée. We just got engaged, you see, and I went to visit my family back home a-and tell them." She spoke quietly and blushed at the thought of her fiancée.
Elliott's demeanor seemed to change as he lost his smile, "Are you happy with this man?" his voice low and intimidating. The woman shivered a bit and backed away, now stuck between the man and the train window.
"Uhm, yes, of course I'm happy," she replied, "Or else, w-why would I agree to m-marry him?" she questioned.
Elliott let out a growl as he dropped the woman's hands and stood up from the booth. Sebastian lowered himself further to avoid being seen. Elliott situated his hat and glared down at the woman who shivered and whimpered in fear.
"Miss, would you love me for one night at least. Your fiancée won't have to know of our encounter." Elliott asked sounding desperate and demanding at the same time.
The woman was shocked and appalled at the request, "Of course not! Why would I do such a sinful thing?" She retorted.
Elliot growled and rose his large hand up. The woman flinched predicting the incoming impact. However, it never came. She slowly opened her blue eyes to reveal a certain black clad butler restraining her attackers arm.
"Does there seem to be a problem here?" Sebastian asked with a slight smirk. Elliot growled once more and yanked his hand out of the demon's grasp.
"No, sir, there's no problem, I was just leaving." He retorted and marched out of the train car.
The woman sighed in relief as she looked up at the butler, "Ah, thank you, so very much sir." She thanked with a smile.
Sebastian looked back at the woman and gave a closed eye smile, "Not a problem my miss. It is never right to lay a hand on a lady who is already taken." He smiled and with a curt nod he dismissed himself.
"Vittu, thymä paskiainen!" an angry Finnish man muttered as he hid in the bar car of the train. He hasn't seen that man again, to his luck. Had he been there all along though, had heard their conversation? Elliott had hoped that he didn't.
Elliott stood from his seat and began making his way to the caboose of the train. There he will hide for the rest of the train ride as he clung to the small ladder that led to the top of the train.
"I don't want to risk getting caught." He muttered to himself, "Not yet at least." Elliott clicked his tongue at the memory of the woman's rejection.
"That bastard got in my way, no woman should ever reject me. If they do, they will receive a cruel punishment." He said as he eyed the silver band on his hand.
Sebastian was looking for the man once more. He had lost him when he left the train car. Now he waited patiently in the bar car where he was certain he sensed his presence was here. The bar tendered offered Sebastian a drink when he noticed that he was just sitting there. Out of politeness Sebastian accepted the offer.
The demon sipped at the alcoholic beverage as he looked around for Elliott. Still no sign; Sebastian stood from his seat and paid for his drink before looking through the train once more. Going through every car of the train, Sebastian thought it was odd. 'How could he escape me in such limited space there is?' Sebastian thought.
Hours have passed and it was almost dawn, about an hour or so before the train arrived at the London train station. Sebastian kept looking for the man, he even asked around, but none of the other passengers claimed to have seen him.
"Odd, I wonder where that woman went." Sebastian thought out loud as he noticed the missing lady passenger he had spoken with earlier.
'The young master would not be pleased' Sebastian thought as the train began near the destination. Just as he was about to take one more look around the train, he heard a screaming from the sleeping car of the train.
"Oh, dear lord!" An elderly woman screamed.
Sebastian was quick to get to the sleeping car. There, he was met with the scene of a sobbing elderly woman in the arms of an elderly man at the entrance of one of the sleeping quarters. The small room was surrounded by curious occupants. Sebastian parted his way through the small crowd to see what was inside the cramped room.
"Bloody hell, I heard about the rumors, but I didn't know they were true!" A man exclaimed once he saw the site. There, all sprawled on the floor was the same blonde hair, blued eyed woman who was previously speaking with Elliott. She was stabbed several times in the chest and her hands were missing; cut just at the wrist. Sebastian also noticed the circled 'x' on her right arm. Bloody hell was correct. 'How could he have possibly evaded me?' Sebastian though. His eyes traced for some kind of clue.
"That means the Käsien is on this train! We have to capture him and turn him in! Hey, wait sir what are you doing?" the same man called out as Sebastian stepped inside the crime scene.
"Please leave everything to me. If you will all just retreat to your rooms I'll take care of it." Sebastian replied with a smile. The passenger's were taken aback by the smile and shivered.
"Are some kind of detective, sir?" the man asked.
"No, but I am simply one hell of a butler." Sebastian replied.
"A butler, eh? Then where's your master?" the man retorted. Sebastian simply ignored him as he notices the window was slightly a jar. Taking a step closer her saw specks of dried blood on the window frame, he looked down to notices any foot prints.
"Ah!" Sebastian claimed.
"Ah, what?" the man asked. Sebastian looked at him expectantly noticing that everyone else had left, but him.
"Sir, if you would please return to what you were doing before." Sebastian requested.
"No, sir, I want to help!" the man retorted. He was quite young and persistent. Sebastian sighed and agreed reluctantly, 'Humans can be so troublesome at times' Sebastian thought.
"We should hurry, the train will arrive soon. If we don't catch Käsien in time, he might escape," The young man exclaimed as he entered the room with the demon.
"If you don't mind me asking, sir, but how do you know about Käsien?" Sebastian asked the younger man. He hesitated before answering.
"My sister was one of the victims, so I plan on capturing this fiend and avenge my sister's death."
