Wanted to go ahead and get this one posted... Woop woop! (Also - got to Year 2 on the HP game! Finally!)

Enjoy.

As soon as my brothers left, I headed to my bedroom. Even though it was ridiculously small, it was super cozy. It reminded me of my bedroom in the sewers. I threw my trunk at the base of the bed and fell back onto my shell. When we were kids, none of us liked being on our backs; instinct, I guess. As we got older Leo, Raph, Mikey and I overcame our aversion, but Donnie still prefers sleeping on his plastron, though he doesn't prefer us teasing him about it.

Oh, Donnie. Sweet, sweet Donnie. My purple clad brother with a missing tooth. Maybe that's one of the reasons he hated his Bo at first; he knocked his own tooth out! All he ever wanted was to be able to benefit our family with his machines and ideas; he never really wanted to be a ninja. He's able to help in more ways then he can ever imagine though! I wonder what his next project will be with all this scrap metal I'm going to have to bring back for him... Maybe he'll build some sort of contraption to keep Mikey out of his lab.

Mikey... Mikey is the bright orange sunshine in the cold, dreary sewer we call home. He is the optimist, the happiest, the life of the party - always. Always smiling, giggling, or laughing; he may not be the smartest turtle around, but he is definitely the happiest. Dr. Prankenstien is always there to heal up a scratch, cut, or wound, with a prank. I curse the day Splinter brought home those dang water balloons. At least he pretty much uses them only with Raph.

My moodiest brother, Raph... Raph's probably the brother I'm closest too. Hotheaded, temperamental, and moody. He's also the strongest one, and the most passionate about things he cares about. His red bandana represents the passion and fire he always brings to everything. Like Spike; you know, I was the one who found that hurt baby turtle meandering along in the sewers. Together, we nursed him back to health (with Donnie's help). I was there when he fell down the cliff edge in the sewers, stumbling into a nest of cockroaches. I held his hand as he cried and cried after he tripped on a stray pebble and scraped up his plastron so bad, a piece of it fell out. Then again, I was often on the side of his temper, too. Not as much as Mikey, but fairly often. Tied with Leo.

Leo, the leader of us turtles. The eldest, blue clad, Space Heroes fanboy. He's the one dedicated to ninjitsu, Splinter's prize student. He's the model student, son, and brother. If only the other three were as calm as he is! (Especially Raph). However, if you ever rag on Space Heroes he'll certainly give you a piece of his mind! I should know... Me and Raph have mocked Captain Ryan so many times it's not even funny.

Me... What can I say? The only girl mutant turtle in New York, probably the world! Don't let my pink bandana fool you though; I can fight just as well (if not better) than my bros! I'm the youngest, the baby of the family. But with my tessen, I can certainly pass as an older kunoichi! I am kinda impatient (only patient when I want to be), happy go lucky like Mikey, and I can make all four of my brothers listen to me in five seconds, tops. I love my family, and I don't know what I'd do without them. If only I could see them more than three times a year.

I could feel my eyes well up with tears at the sweet thoughts of my brothers. The tears began running down my cheeks, and soon, my hot pink bandana became a dark magenta. I fumbled around for a ponytail holder, groaning when I realized it busted in the transition. I liked that headband; it actually matched my skin for once.

In fact, Raph and I have the same color skin, and we both have green eyes. When we were just turtle tots, we told everyone else (really just our brothers) that we were twins! Until Splinter crushed my dreams of having us actually being twins. I don't think Raph looked at me for a week after that.

You see, my backstory is different than of my brothers. I didn't start out as a turtle. I was human, just like you.

As turtle tots, Splinter always told us that there were 5 baby turtles in the bowl he bought, and that was us! But after Raph and I told him that we were twins, he decided to tell all of us children the truth.

I was a human, a human baby. Honestly, I don't know everything about my origin, but I've accepted that I'll probably never find it out.

Splinter's POV

The 'man' that bumped into him met up with three other identical men in a backstreet alley. One of them had a canister of shiny blue-green ooze. The other one had a baby girl with short brown curls and dark green eyes visible from a far distance sitting on the ground at his feet, playing with trash and dirt and sticks lying around.

"Is the Kraang with the mutagen ready to perform the experiment with the Kraang on the one the humans call, 'baby?'"

At the thought of these wretched men using an innocent baby in unsightly experiments lit a fire in Yoshi's belly.

"Kraang is ready. Is Kraang ready?" The first man turned to the third.

"Kraang is ready as well." The one holding the canister began mechanically unscrewing the lid. He dropped the lid, and held the bottle up.

One of the men picked up the baby by the back of the pink onsie she had on. He carried her over in front of the other two. A rat scurried across Splinter's foot, and he jerked back. All three men looked up and narrowed their eyes.

"The one known as you has interrupted Kraang in the place known as here. The one known as 'You' shall not leave this place known as here.

Hamato Yoshi lashed out, sending one of the Kraang flying. He accidentally dropped his bowl of turtles, and kicked the man holding the baby. The baby and the turtles crashed to the ground and the feet of Hamato Yoshi. He hit that man, too, and all that was left was the one with the open jar of the strange substance.

He said that three of the turtles were lying in a heap on the ground, but that one of them hit the baby's leg. The baby clumsily lifted it up and stuck it in her mouth, oblivious to her surroundings. She 'played' with the turtle, poking and whipping it around.

He tapped that one with two fingers and put all of his power behind it. The one holding the canister dropped the ooze and hit the wall, crumpling to the ground. The open canister hit the ground and splattered, covering the baby girl and his four pet turtles, and splattering on his legs as well. Immediately, the baby started crying and wailing, and his turtles starting growing and growing.

His legs seemed to be burning and the agony traveled up his entire body. Shrieking, he staggered away, falling to his knees and holding his head in his hands as fur of some sort sprouted everywhere. His nose elongated in front of his eyes, and his hearing and sight improved drastically. His hands turned into paws with claws, and his ears seemed to stretch and stretch. He arched his back in pain, and as suddenly as it started, it drained away, leaving him panting on the nasty ground. He blinked once, staring at all of the changes on himself.

The baby's wail only increased in sound, and he turned and crawled around. Instead of one baby girl, there was five green turtle babies crying and wailing. He looked around for the girl, but couldn't find her. He crawled over to the babies. Instead of the four baby turtles he had bought earlier, they now looked to be around the size of one year old human children. Four bald green turtles, some with dark skin, some with light. One of them even had freckles, and in spite of himself, Yoshi had to smile.

A few feet away lay a fifth wailing child, and he crawled over to pick it up. Brown curls lay muddied and dirty underneath its head, and when he picked it up, he saw dark green eyes. The human baby girl was now this turtle mutant child! As soon as he picked the girl up, she stopped sobbing, and only gave a little hiccup. She looked at him curiously for a moment and smiled, showing off two teeth. She reached for his whiskers.

"Miwa," he whispered.

One loud wail jerked him back to reality. He put the baby girl up against his shoulder and turned around, trying frantically to gather up the four boys.

"My life just got a whole lot different," he thought to himself as he vanished down a manhole and into the sewers.
