"Kim! Kim! Wake up!" Billy's frantic voice said as I swam in a sea of blackness. I felt groggy and like I was being pulled under the surface of the ocean. Something cold touched my face, my eyes popping open from the shock of it. I found Billy hoovering over me, a concern look on his face. There was an equally concerned Aisha on the other side of him, Adam and Rocky next to her. They were all alive. No one was covered in blood and not one of them was dead. I gasped, a sob of relief escaping my lips as I sat up. Pain shot down my neck from my forehead, but I ignored it, wrapping my arms around Billy's neck. He tensed, unsure of what to do at my outburst. He eventually wrapped his arms around me and rubbed my back in a comforting way.
"What the hell was that?" Aisha asked, pulling on my shoulder so I could face her. "You were running around here like someone was trying to kill you, you started screaming at Zordon and then you just started screaming about dead people."
"I-I-I don't know." I whispered. I was drenched in cold sweat and my fingers were trembling. "We were under attack. Someone was here, killing everyone. I saw you all." Tears slipped down my cheeks as I covered my face with my hands. Flashes of the dream came back to me. "Where's Tommy?" I asked, looking up at them.
"He went to get the Dino Thunder team." Rocky replied. "The kids asked if he needed any help and he figured we could use all the help we could get. They were at Jason's house waiting for him. He should be heading back now." I nodded, biting my lip. "Kim, you okay?"
"I don't know." It was the truth. I had no clue what that had been. It was similar to the episode I had had at Tommy's house before we found the dino gems. Were they just dreams? Or was it something else? I had not told Billy about this like Tommy had suggested so no scan had been performed to see if I was losing my shit or not. I've had three bio-scans since then though. Nothing had appeared then. Whatever these were, it wasn't physical. Besides, Rosita claimed to have sent me the vision when I had been locked in the Seventh Floor with her and Tommy.
"Maybe a scan wouldn't hurt." Adam suggested, glancing at Billy. Billy nodded, giving me a small reassuring smile.
"Here. Let's get you off the Command Center floor." He said, holding his hand out. I took it and let him and Aisha help me stand. We were in the middle of the control room, Alpha standing by the computer, silently watching us. Zordon was also in his tube, his image 100% more clear now than it had been.
"Kimberly, it's good to see you." Zordon said, his voice gentle. Well, as gentle as he could make it.
"Zordon, what's happening to me?" I asked, stepping towards him. I could hear the fear in my own voice.
"I am unsure of what is occurring. Billy, Kimberly should be examined thoroughly to ensure this is not something Rosita is doing to her." Zordon replied, glancing at Billy. The sound of footsteps coming from the entrance of the Command Center caused us to grow silent. Tommy entered to room, four teenagers I recognized from the picture on his Facebook page following behind. They looked around, their eyes wide as they took in the room. The taller boy, dressed in red, turned his attention towards his. He smiled widely when he saw our group, obviously not seeing Zordon. Tommy was speaking to the other three teens, the two boys and the girl interested in what he had to saw.
"Wow! Dr. O, your whole team is here." The taller boy said, looking at his team mates. "I thought for sure you were the only old person that would be here." Tommy shot the kid a glare at his rude comment, but he didn't seem to notice.
"Conner, you've got a big mouth." The girl said. She must have been Kira; the one Adam had worked with before. She was the only girl on the team, something I felt bad for her for. Her yellow long-sleeved shirt was under a black vest and a dark blue jean skirt followed the curves of her hips down to the black tennis shoes on her feet. Long, dirty blonde hair was curled around her face and she glared at Conner.
"Let's act our age, shall we?" The African American boy in blue said next to Tommy. He looked around at the controls in the room, clearly itching to touch them. His blue flannel shirt and tan khaki shorts made him look like he was ready for the day at the beach rather than fighting villains. The remaining boy in the back was quiet, him not looking as shocked by the technology in the room. He wore white, telling me he must have been the boy Tommy spoke about with the evil Ranger powers. I wondered if they had spoken about his stint as an evil Ranger again.
"What's wrong?" Tommy asked, his eyes landing on me. Us older Rangers must have appeared like we were receiving terrible news from the way he looked at us.
"Kimberly had some sort of spell." Rocky said, eyeing me. Tommy was in front of me in a heartbeat, his hands cupping my face as he looked down at me worried.
"What happened?" He whispered.
"Another dream like the one I had at your house." I replied, blinking back unshed tears. I felt stupid. Everyone was making a big deal out of this and I hated being the center of attention.
"This happened before?" Aisha asked, sounding surprised. I nodded, not taking my eyes off Tommy's face.
"When we were setting off to find the remaining dino gems, Kim went into this trance. I couldn't wake her out of it and she just kept screaming." Tommy explained, looking around the group. "What happened this time?"
"The same thing." Adam answered. "She was running around her, screaming her head off like she was getting murdered. She kept saying something about people being dead."
"It wasn't just people. It was everyone." I said, pulling out of Tommy's hands. I crossed my arms over my chest and turned away from them all. "Billy, Aisha, Adam and Rocky were laying here in a pool of blood. I kept trying to find everyone, but I couldn't see. And then Zordon kept telling me I had killed you all. Then Tommy showed up and told me I had done it." Tears sprung to my eyes. "I stabbed him." I said softly. "And there was this horrible pain in my stomach where that pink mark was from my bio-scan early."
"What mark?" Tommy, Rocky, Aisha and Adam all said at the same time. I shot a glance at Billy who frowned.
"There was an anomaly on Kimberly's scan this morning. That's where we were when her episode began." Billy explained, not making eye contact with me. "There seems to be a three-inch mark where she was stabbed that has its own power source."
"Its own power source?" Tommy asked, spinning on his heel to face me. "When did you think you were going to tell me about that one?" I didn't answer, directing my gaze to the floor. Tommy let out a sigh. "What does that mean?"
"It means that it's trying to heal her." Zordon replied, his voice booming. The four teenagers jumped, finally noticing the floating head in the room. "The power in her is trying to heal her body, starting with her wound. It seems the dino gem and her powers are working together to do this."
"So, this isn't going to kill me? Cause it sure the hell felt like it." I said, looking up at Zordon. "It felt like it was ripping me apart."
"What was the dream like the first time?" Billy asked, stepping towards me.
"At Tommy's? I was walking through his house and this voice kept calling my name. And then I found Tommy in the kitchen. He was just kneeling there and when I tried to wake him up, he stabbed me. When Strasser and Goldar took me to the Seventh Floor, Rosita told me she had sent me the vision."
"Like what happened on the Seventh Floor?" Aisha questioned. I nodded, sneaking a look at Tommy. Our eyes met for a brief second before Billy spoke, catching our attention.
"Eureka! I know what's going on." He exclaimed. "Your dino gem power! It's precognition!"
"What the hell is that?" Rocky asked, looking confused.
"Kimberly has psychic visions." Billy explained. "That's why she had the vision at Tommy's and then it came true. Her powers are trying to warn her."
"That makes sense! So does that mean something is going to attack us here?" Adam asked, looking around the Command Center. Billy shrugged.
"We cannot be certain of that." He said solemnly.
"Alpha, increase defenses around the Command Center just in case." Tommy said, gazing over at the little robot. Alpha nodded, making a mad dash for the control panel. "Is there anything else anyone might want to tell the group? No one else is hiding glowing body parts, right?" He flashed me a quick smile, telling me he wasn't upset with me. A feeling of relief spread across my chest as I returned the smile.
"Uh…Dr. O?" Conner spoke, reminding us all that there were now four teenagers standing in the room with us. Tommy whirled around, forgetting that he had brought company.
"Shit." He muttered under his breath. He jogged over to them, walking them further into the room. "Guys, I'd like you to meet the Dino Thunder ranger team." He pointed to Conner. "This is Conner McKnight. He was the red ranger. Next to him is Ethan James, our quirky and nerdy blue ranger. Kira Ford is the lovely yellow ranger and this gentleman on the end is Trent Mercer." The four teenagers looked timid as they smiled at us. Tommy grinned to himself as he ran back over to our group.
"They look scared." Aisha whispered in my ear. I snorted, nodding at her.
"Over here, we have Rocky DeSantos, the second red ranger." Tommy said, pointing at Rocky. He walked over between Adam and Billy. "This is Adam Parks, the second black ranger. Over there is the amazing Aisha Campbell, the second yellow ranger. This is Billy Cranston, the original blue ranger. And this," He walked over to me and wrapped an arm around my shoulders. "Is Kimberly Hart, the original pink ranger. And we are the Mighty Morphing Power Rangers."
"Well, if I didn't feel old yet, I certainly do now." Rocky muttered, trying to hide the smile on his face. He stepped forward and shook hands with the group, Adam and Billy following suit. Aisha hugged Kira, the two of them talking about their common color. Tommy and I stood back, watching them interact.
"Do you think having them here will help?" I asked softly, looking up at him. He nodded, squeezing me to his side.
"I think so. They don't have any powers and can go unnoticed from Rosita. Plus, Goldar doesn't know them like he knew us."
"Dr. O?" Kira's voice said, pulling us out of our conversation. Tommy glanced over, seeing the four teenagers taking us in. "Is Kimberly your girlfriend?"
"Huh? Oh! Uhhh…" Tommy's face flushed bright red, his hand flying from around my shoulders in a heartbeat. I shook my head, giggling to myself.
"Yes. Yes, I am." I replied, shaking their hands. "It's nice to meet you guys. Tommy told me so much about you."
